That would definitely explain the pressure switch issue. Nobody remembers the condensate drain until it clogs and you gotta drain an air handler.

The prime rule of ownership , maintenance pay me now or pay me later . Part 2 pay me later is ALWAYS MORE EXPENSIVE and potentially deadly!

90%gas furnaces are just oil, they require annual maintenance. Too many people view this as a money making scheme for the hvac contractor.

What a terrible drain design. No thanks. Many other brands are much better built. We don't see much AS/Trane around here and that design is terrible. For that cost, no way.

I’ll take AS over Lennox any day. Typically Dave’s face on that box gets cut out and used as target practice with how poorly their stuff is built and designed. AS doesn’t do this design anymore anyways

@@aquattadomdren6760 That is something I totally agree with. I wouldn’t have a Lennox, if it was free. AS is a decent product, but anything Allied Air needs to go in the trash pile.

@@Balticblue93 I started out on exclusively AS, because as you might know they pretty much require you to only buy AS/Trane and keep good standing in terms of quality. Also had the occasional Coleman for some mobile homes at my first company. Then I got to experience Lennox at the 2nd. The place I’m at now does lennox, carrier, Mitsubishi, and occasionally York. Mitsubishi might get shit for some things, but I think they consult (cultural thing) far more, and have been in the minisplit game far longer than most, resulting in a nice product to install. I haven’t had the joy of troubleshooting them extensively but there’s definitely some money in fully understanding all the shit they have going on with VRFs now
