Burnham Alpine Inducer motor and blower inlet assembly replacement
Replacing inducer motor and blower inlet assembly on a Burnham Alpine. The inducer motor was faulty however 9 out of 10 times the swirl plate is cracked so we quote that for the repair as well.

There's a spray can product at the big orange box store that you spray on the coils (let it sit on about 10 min.) and hose off, in case you don't want to use the on-hose cleaner. I did mine without even taking the case off...much better!
Looking to buy the yellow adapter . Did you pushed it with something??? What you called it please. Any link ?
This is the kit I have. Not sure if they sell parts separately www.grainger.com/product/55NH69?gucid=N:N:PS:Paid:GGL:CSM-2295:4P7A1P:20501231&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjwhvi0BhA4EiwAX25uj3FTXSiN9tyr9bcPU3MMJCtzFhGdYon80_xzrjjmHSReRK34HLLUTRoCYkEQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds
I have to ask why you cut the damn coil out to replace a compressor??? I have done many of those a never had to cut the coil out. Invest in the NAVAC for swage tool. Worth every penny.
Just pull the coils when it's a tall unit, I'm short as hell so it's just easier for me. I've been eyeballing the swage and the bender. Think I'm gonna pull the trigger soon!
I stoled your music and I'm moving to Nashville!
#respect
WOW!
Never seen one that dirty.
What kind of sprayer are you using?
Not sure the exact name but it's by nu-calgone for the 4x bottles
1000 dollars for capacitor and coil cleaning, Say its not so?
Think the whole bill was like 6 and some change including the diagnostic
Wow... Now that it's clean...customer should have a lower light bill..now that compressor isn't working so hard...awesome job
Probably should start showing you turn off the power lol.
Nope, I believe in natural selection. We need techs with brains anyway
Heard the song and knew he knew what he was doing😂😂😂
To be thinking that that song is good music? Yech.
Careful with that nu-brite on that grass, they’re gonna be pissed when it’s all dead
Yes sir that'll be 500 buckaroos cuz gonna be cold cold now
Spine fin coils are water only. Nu-brite is way too strong.
👍🤙🤘😮
Glad you didn't step off the ledge, looks bit DANGEROUS
Would have went and saw Dr. Summeroff
Good old carrier heat exchangers, they keep us busy
And they hate hard low volt wires, they want it to be shielded stranded wire
Worked for a carrier dealer and installed many communicating Infiniti systems, the tech is cool but carrier is just all around bad design, many inverter issues, worst heat exchanger design ever, ecm inducers, many installation errors……we are a Rheem dealer now, phenomenal service records……it all starts at the install
What, i thought you couldn't stop a Trane
That’s called the we’re friends discount
is it really worth all the time and effort taking all the metal and coil out just to swap the compressor?
I only do it if it's a tall one that's a pain to reach down in. Really only adds 10-15 minutes
How old is the unit? I’m assuming it’s the variable speed unit?
How old is the unit? I’m assuming it’s the variable speed unit?
That will be $250 sir.
Is the outside condenser unit the same for a heat pump vs a regular AC system? I know the inside “furnace” unit is different.
Lol atleast you where ready! Haha i try to look at the label first to see if its a long shank. Atleast with the equipment i work on, tp valve on the side will be longer to get past insulation, if its op the top, it tends to be short and on a nipple
Mines just went at my house 7yrs after I installed it, sent me a new one 2-3days later from the 15yr warranty.
Too much work. I just remove compressor and braze it back in. No need to remove coil unless you cant reach down there
Ive done it both ways. Short coils it doesn't make sense to remove it. Tall coils it makes life easier and takes maybe 15 extra minutes to cut it out and braze it back in after.
Man, an hvac guy used one of those crimp connectors on my filter/dryer and it failed massively about 4 mos later. Now my compressor is dead and he says it’s because the reversing valve musta got stuck in the middle. Is he BS’ing me?
Maybe but those press fittings are good if installed correctly, the pipe itself will split before the seals
As long as the clearance above the ac unit is 5’ or more, the airflow will not be increased in air pressure. That should last along time. IMHO
What refrigerant are you putting in the Bosch? Doesn't look like 410A bottle you got there. Has Bosch already started shipping them out with R32?
It's 410, all our bottles the last 2 years or so have come gray. Even R22
@@Hvac_legend_ I thought that might be the case, but with all the changes these days, seeing that bottle got me worrying. Thanks for the feedback, take care!
Danfoss compressor to the field 😊
Why? That's an old r22 Trane!?!
Nope, 410. Was only 7 or 8 years old and the compressor was under warrenty
Ya took the coil off to replace the compressor😅 then used a B tank…….typical Trane bs 😂 I would of had the compressor out and in in 15 minutes
Dude what size are those damn compressor bolts
Why do people keep calling brazing solder ?! It's not soldering 🚫. More heat , makes the difference. Less heat is soldering 😉
Facts, but in a lot of r22 systems still solder there connections because r22 system are under a much lower pressure then r410a, not me I braze everything or press it
Old habits hard to break
that american standard logo is so friggin old. are you that poor of a professional to not basically force someone into something more efficient and that cost less than the repair itself? or is th is work in a 3rd world country?
prob because it lasted that long to begin with. almost all techs ive spoken to have told me to fix my appliances til i cant cause the new ones wont last as long.
Very disappointed in your comments
How tf is changing a compressor more then replacing the unit?
@thomasmann3560 I'm pretty sure the guys a troll account. Compressor was under warrenty and repair was thousands less than a new system
im pretty sure I've had my account for eons. I don't see the point in patching up hot garbage from god knows how many years ago. Prove me otherwise that the logo isn't from an oldschool American standard and I'll apologize. @@Hvac_legend_
Lucky if you get 10 -12 years from a pin boiler
Ha manufacturered in 13, right in the middle of your range. Nothing is built to last anymore
👍👍
Dam don’t think I’ve seen that before
Looks like you have done this a time or two , why does the unit sit so high off the ground? ✌️
Raising it helps keep it higher than snow and ice.
Great job. How much do you charge for a job like this with the compressor included? Thanks for sharing.
👍👍
It’s a shit design heat exchanger it holds way to much water as you can see it’s just gonna do it again, if you could clean the water while it’s in the heat exchanger it would eat through that bitch, we don’t sell many of those around my parts but I personally have a Rheem tankless and as long as I clean it once a year I’ve been good
Not a fan of the brand period. This is 1st one I've done on a on demand but have done a million on the combis. Think it's 2015/16 almost every single one leaks and tech support tells you it's normal unless you argue with them
Did the original water supply line up with the new heat exchange unit because mine we had to cut it and weld the old and the new line together
People don’t understand how Acidic condensate water is out of a high efficiency furnace, I’ve seen it eat rubber hoses on pressure switches to breaking down drains when dummies use black iron and galvanized pipes instead of pvc
👍👍
Made in china ?
Hopefully not
Why Is This Brand New Furnace Not Heating? "American Standard" Well there you go, theres the problem.
The prime rule of ownership , maintenance pay me now or pay me later . Part 2 pay me later is ALWAYS MORE EXPENSIVE and potentially deadly!
