If the background = fire, hit his front legs with ice to topple him over. Toppling him over, weakens the eschaton. Same thing with ice background, bring the heat. During his first switch, he's attempting to match your element so you can't hurt it anymore, that's why you want to break his horn when he's in dragon element, so he's forced to go back into the element he was in before that you can exploit. If you already toppled him over once, focus on his horn as you cannot break it in his initial element phase. That way it becomes easier to break when he goes into dragon form.
Yes. as many have said, that is the nerfed Alatreon with LESS health than a MR Great Jagras. for his escaton. just make sure you are doing enough fire/ice damage. he will fall over, and the handler will yell at you that "You are doing a good job in sealing his power" break his horn once to stop him from switching into the opposite element. If he starts in fire mode, bring ice weapon and vice versa. if you dont break his horn, he switches elements after escaton making your weapon useless for elemental damage. when he does his nova, spam ASTERA JERKY. it full heals all red health which is what escaton puts you in. if you spam it as soon as you start taking damage, AND you toppled him at least ONCE with elemental damage. then you'll live.
I never managed to topple him so I guess a change of weapon is required but thanks for the Astera Jerky tip since I was spamming the Dust of Life that the game recommended only to die anyway LOL.
Do enough element damage you'll hear your handler say your dealing good element damage agenst him & eat jerky when he is charging the blast and keep on eating jerky whilst it is going on good luck my fellow switch axe brother
Is this the half-health quest? There's 2 Alatreons you must fight before Fatalis is available. Edit: Nvm, this is the quest before Fatalis. Good luck Hunter.
His first appearance in Blazing Black Twilight has way more health than it's nerfed counterpart. The Dawn's Triumph Alatreon has less health than a MR Great Jagras BBT Alatreon has a bit more than 52k health DT Alatreon has a little over 10k which is likely why you get next to no rewards for beating him
@@shoyrudw Wow really? I thought he died quickly because he took 45 tick damage from my switch axe's elemental discharge while the real one only took 19. The only reason I got confused here was because the tutorial quest was given to me after I lost to Alatreon on my first ever attempt against him.
@@cyber_ghost999 Yeah as you saw in the episode, the game gave me the tutorial quest after I lost to him which really confused me when I killed him here with minimal effort.

Got It. Thanks for the tips.
Oh that’s mini Alatreon. He’s there to get everyone ready for the real fight that follows him
The thing that confused me here is because this tutorial was given to me after I had lost to Alatreon on my first try LMAO
