I think I'm going to have to get one of these.... I have a 15mm lens but I think I could have a ton of fun with an 11mm. I'm especially glad they offer it for Pentax!

Because its made of high quality plastic, shouldn't the Firefly version come with the hard case rather than the Blackstone version?

Make sure you check this lens....there is a common problem with decentering. The left hand side will be very obviously soft. My Firefly version had this issue and has been returned to the shop at a cost to me! I had hoped Irix had improved its QC, sadly not....hopefully the replacement copy will be ok.

I have the lens and love it, but basic marketing would dictate that as you discuss attributes in segments (e.g., case, markings, etc.), you set up the base model first (in this case, Firefly) and the premium model (here, Blackstone) second. Make the Firefly seem amazing and the Blackstone even more so. When you do it in reverse order as you do here it makes the Firefly seem comparatively lame, and as you know it isn't -- it's actually a terrific lens.

Not stupid just too excited to think straight. Handled it at UK Photography show will get one for my Canon really nice both versions. No need to focus with the huge depth of field... :-)
