    The first half of the ua-cam.com/users/postUgkx3ICSK6nSknaL_45CU2NmFSoXjarGMDiJ book is everything about wood: types, tools, finishes, setting up shop etc. The second half is all about doing projects for inside and outside of the home. The color pictures are helpful. After reading a dozen of these types of books, this is probably the best overall (layout, color photos, plans). Only detraction is that many of the projects use a table saw/router/planer, which are usually expensive and take up space, so the plans are less friendly to newcomers and the budget conscious. But I know I can use a drill, circular saw or a jigsaw to make the projects.

    It is the best video I have seen among thousands here. You explain everything very clear without BS and showing off and braging about tools. This set of skills require lots of knowledge. Well done. Great job and pleasure to subscribe to your channel.

    Really nice, a great example of what is in stock for me, since I want to make multiple doors for myself. Also a single door in my fence and a double gate door. Want to make it beautiful, not the cheap stuff. Your example of how to construct them is great.

    I like this, the build and tools are different and interesting. You should really consider some kind of cover for your moulder / shaper though that's a little scary.

      Thank you for your comment, I agree about that cover, I will consider it for the next time

    I was wondering when you straightened out your mortise and the inset for the mirror, did you use a chisel to straighten out the edges?

    Hey, I ordered a big piece of rubber board (110x200cm 30mm) and want to use it as a door. Now the shop who already shipped it to me says its not suitable to be a door as a door needs a frame. Can I use it or not? Using one solid piece of wood seems to me very wise because you don't need to do anything else, just drilling hole for the knob and attaching the hinges.

    • @indwellkauai8423
      @indwellkauai8423 2 роки тому

      one big piece of wood will move too much over time. your door may open one day and stay shut the next.

    • @xXSeak
      @xXSeak 2 роки тому

      @@indwellkauai8423 but rubber board consists of many small pieces glued together even smaller thanxthe pieces on actual doors. Shouldn't that help? Would it work if they use it as a core of the door and make a frame around it?

    • @calandrilnailo9360
      @calandrilnailo9360 2 роки тому

      @@xXSeak Feels to me that it should work, and once you have it up, if you see it develop any problems, you still have the majority of your material, so it could be a pretty cool project to take the door down and make the new and improved version 2!

    • @calandrilnailo9360
      @calandrilnailo9360 2 роки тому

      @@indwellkauai8423 why would 1 sheet move too much? Do you mean warping? If so, xXSeak won't have to worry as much about that with rubber board as long as the frame they build supports the weight.
