    Great video gentlemen.
    As a fairly new saltwater angler I’m still trying and learning new techniques.
    This so far has become my favorite and go to style.
    Like most I started a few years ago with larger reels, heavier line, (30 lb braid and/ or 15-20 pound fluoro or mono main line) and now use 8-10 braid almost exclusively. I learn a lot by trial and error but you two and your channel have taught me so much. Thanks

    I prefer FC instead of mono.I also use Down South lures to catch Snook from the beach.

    I catch more Snook off of the shore than I do out in my boat. Before I had a boat and was forced to shore fish all I wanted was to buy a nice center console and now that I have one I only use it for transportation to get away from people and still hop out and wade or shore fish. Every once in awhile I'll drift the inlet but there's nothing quite like getting in and getting wet.

    Are you guys planning on putting the smart fishing app in the Apple store as an app? And charge to use the app?

      We use a "progressive" app, it works like an “app” but is more accessible. Check this information out about and email us at fish@saltstrong.com if you have any questions!

    I am just about ready to purchase a trolling motor for my flats boat and would like to know what Brand and Model trolling motor you have. Yes, I am already on Insider member. :-) Was just on you tube and noticed this new video.

    Hmm you guys mentioned leader size often in this video. I kayak fish and I’ve been using 30lb fluro on 20lb braid. I know you recommend mono over fluro and I’ll be trying that out when I get through my current spool, but is 30 too much? I did catch my first snook the other day using it, but wondering if I’m missing on other bites.

    • @evanpapp2712
      @evanpapp2712 2 роки тому

      Any lower and it won't matter if you get the bite because the fish that matters will fray through your leader like nothing

    • @Saltstrong
      @Saltstrong  2 роки тому

      30 is definitely not too much. But if the water is clear, I recommend using a thinner leader and then bumping up to 30 for the last 6 inches.

    Lets not forget corporate & world fishing fleets cause 48% of all plastics in the ocean.
