You should know: 657. Worship of the formless is possible only for those who have lost the notion ‘I am this form of the body’. Any kind of worship that is, any effort at formless meditation being done by those who have the notion ‘I am this form of the body’ is nothing but a worship of form. Know this. Bhagavan Sri Ramana. And there will be nobody who is not identifying himself with the body. Do not fall into the hubris of the filthy ego. Accept your helplessness.
This talk is resonant of the chapter of dissolution in Ashtavakra Gita that I just heard. The waves and bubbles realise they are water and that they’re one with the ocean- water that makes up the ocean 🙏🏽
This meditating all the time and notion of freefall reminds me so much of Dzogchen's "post meditation" and the idea of cutting through to the bhavanga and beyond. This was the most helpful Francis video for me to date :) thank you!
There is a state that is a believe but that does not require an effort, and that is exercising faith. Because faith is not a concrete dependency it does not require a dependency on the individual. Freedom is the removal of dependency, freedom is the exercise of faith.

In Paris you don't go to Costco but you can go to your local market to buy products from local farms. I'm pretty sure you can do that while meditating in Panasana, whatever it means. 😉
@@gerritbreeman6207 I think we're saying the same thing. Example: light and dark. There is only light or absence of light. Hot and cold: cold is only an absence of heat.
It’s like when you are holding a stone in your hand, that requires an effort. But when you let go (opening your hand) the stone falls naturally (effortlessly) this is the natural state. Don’t hold to anything.
If ignorance is such a belief, how do such beliefs form? Are beliefs just the process of our multiple human bodies uttering words and reaching consensus by some form of convergence in the multi agent system that "we" form?
But then what is the relationship between awareness and all of these emergences? Is awareness the principle that gives life /reality /experienceability to emerging concepts that would otherwise not exist more than any other not-self-contradicting theoretical system? Is it some sort of blessing that reality is giving to a certain possibility (or maybe to all possibilities) by absorbing itself into it? Is it what is meant in Genesis by "and God saw that it was good"?
Not believing in a belief is a belief Francis. All that you are talking about is your belief. Assuming that you can be without a belief is a belief, so we have this infinite circularity. Better to believe that we do hold beliefs and make sure what we believe in has a curative power for our psychological suffering. And one must be open and objective in examining beliefs that may naturally enter one's mind with curiosity to understand them and deeply experience their curative potential.
"The fact that we we were on a solid platform of beliefs is bogus and in fact we have been in free fall all the time". Very useful analogy. Thank you!
Большое спасибо за разьяснения. Они очень полезны и необходимы, а главное вовремя! 🙏 С любовью из России. ❤️

Perfectly put. We are acknowledging our home, our essence, whereas before we were hypnotized.

What a legend. Amazing Q&A and powerful pointers.

Meditating all the time, in order to check beliefs all the time

Francis you are such a great blessing ❤️🙏❤️

Faith is the essence of transcending our environment.
Faith is an illusion…
Faith in what ?

That explanation is a no thing of beauty 💕
Thanks Francis❤, somehow reminds me of Pink's song, 'Trustfall'...

Interesting, but I would question the definition of 'natural' that seems to be at work throughout this discourse.

So beliefs would automatically emerge from human communities just like bodies emerge from cells and cells from atoms?

We are without a belief every time we sincerely challenge a belief.
