The BEST Method To Clean Dirty Suede Shoes

- Jordan is back to clean up the all suede Fossil Rose Nike Dunks. We've cleaned Dunks before, but the suede on this pair is dirty and crunchy. In order to properly clean these suede Nike Dunks we had to pull out all of the stops, including the RESHOEVN8R Essential Kit, Dry Suede Kit, Brass Bristle Brush, Mink Oil, and Horsehair Brush.
All of that for one shoe? Yeah, these gave us a little trouble but in the end they cleaned up pretty darn well!
When cleaning suede Dunks it's important to avoid getting them too wet: if you oversaturate the suede it can bleed or lose its color. Jordan was careful as she patted the Dunks dry periodically to avoid this from happening. After cleaning the Fossil Rose Dunks with all three brushes and Sneaker Cleaning Solution, the suede was left crunchy and faded.
To bring the suede back to life Jordan relied on the RESHOEVN8R Brass Bristle Brush. This brush is get for restoring the buttery soft texture of your suede sneakers. Jordan gave the shoe a few passes with the Brass Bristle Brush to make the suede soft again, and finished the shoe with some Mink Oil to restore the color.
Not every cleaning goes according to plan, and such is the case with our cleaning of the Fossil Rose Dunks. We ended up having to clean this pair multiple times in order to get the results that we wanted, and they still aren't perfect.

Do your best not to get suede too wet! Whenever possible use the Dry Suede Kit instead of the Essential Kit. Our cleaning called for the latter because the Fossil Rose Dunks were that dirty.

How?! I’ve been trying to clean suede shoes for years and have never gotten results like this… I don’t get it. The dark spots on my shoes never come out and water instantly ruins them.
It ruins them bc you’re not supposed to use water on suede.

The main reason is that they just put the dirt on the shoes an hour before shooting, it’s not the same as months of dirtying up a shoe. It cleans up much easier when it’s fresh. Also I’m positive they put a protector on the shoe before they got it dirty. Remember, this is tv at the end of the day. Even did things “off camera” she said
I mean look at how good the soles look, they weren’t used much at all. Dead give away it’s setup. I mean it is a commercial after all
If you have dark spots on your shoes, it's because you didn't clean the whole upper uniformly. If the texture is fucked up, it may need conditioning. Experiment with different types of brush depending on the length of the suede. I've brought shoes back from the dead with enough persistence.

What I always hate about cleaning my shoes is I clean them and think there clean and white brand new than I fet a new pair and rhe white is no where near a brand new shoe. Plus the stitching even getting it all clean the stitches gets dirty

I would recommend using Mink Oil
This is why i stay away from suede, so much to do to keep them clean. Unlike leathers and canvas. From a guy who doesnt like dirty shoes.

This is just a way of selling a product nothing more. The Dunk was purposely dirtied up to promote selling the cleaning products. The shoe is practically new look at the stars on the outsole no way you messing up the shoe that badly after 1 or 2 wears.
We have said before that we dirty sneakers to show people who own them how to clean them
