I visited Tunisia in 2014. A fantastic country with a lot of Roman architecture. El Jem and Carthage are outstanding examples of it. Many very interesting places all over the country. Very warm and friendly people and excellent food. For veggie lovers simply a paradise.

Aziz Ben Soltana the reason why I said it’s not tourist destination is because, from trying to research how to travel Tunisia on my own, most of the tours are dominated by all inclusive deals where you stay at one hotel the entire time. There is so much more to see, to travel around, and to experience in Tunisia than just staying at a beach at a hotel. This is why it’s a traveler’s paradise.

Hi again, thank you for reading my comments. I have a couple of things I would like to add about Tunisia. The Greek poet wrote about an island where Ulysses and his men went ashore to get water, they've been given lotus flowers to eat, the lotus were as sweet as honey but doing so they lost their memories and became captives. I believe that the lotus flowers were confused with dates, there are palm trees in djerba and the dates are as sweet as honey. Further more. Tunisia is situated at the at the very top of the African continent. Amazingly, before the country was referred to as Tunisia, the Romans called it Africa, from then on, the whole african continent was named Africa. I hope that I expended your knowledge about Tunisia and please, look beyond my limited English perfection. Have a nice day, god bless and please come back again.
This was a major relief. I'm actually spending a month in Tunisia starting at the end of the month and I was worried because of all of the warnings. This video was a lot of help and now I am very excited for my trip. :)

Wow thanks for spending your time and effort and putting this great guide together! Tunisia wasn't really on our radar before, but, after seeing your video, we're definitely considering it! 😁😍🙌
Had a business trip to Tunisia and got to spend a weekend there. My hosts lived in a beautiful home within one of the compounds. They took me to Tunis and to Carthage. My favorite restaurant was "The Cliff". The food was as good as the view of the blue Mediterranean from this restaurant perched on the side of this almost white washed perch. Highly recommend. My favorite place was the souk. The hub is the mosque and like the spokes on a wheel, the stores radiated outward. One spoke was the goldsmiths, another was leather goods, another spices, etc. You could spend days shopping, eating, and just absorbing in the culture. The last major sights were the museums and roadside ruins. Think of Tunisia as a mini Italy without any tourists. Gorgeous. Roman baths, ruins, and mosaics are everywhere. Some in museums but many are open air and just laying on the side of the road. We stopped once and walked up to two men carrying a bucket of water. My host spoke to him in French and he immediately poured this water over the ground and to my amazement, this beautiful mozaic unfolded before my feet. Incredible. I spoke enough French to get by and this was priceless in haggling for prices, ordering food, and getting around. The only thing that bothered me about Tunisia is how women are treated and their limited opportunities to be independent. Security was very apparent but it did not bother me.
tonkatoytruck your idea of women status in Tunisia is completely stereotypical and often held by people with very little awareness (ignorance) of cultural heritage and habits of different people on this planet . I truly think that if the USA and Europe have fixed the true problems that women are suffering from like violence and rape and killing then they can lecture others on how to live their lives. We are so and tiered of the hepochrit's who can't stop their supremacist and arrogant attitude. I wonder how many women you have met and interviewed to permit your self such nonsensical nonsense of wholesale condemnation of our society. For goodness sake learn to accept that people around the world are different from you like you are different from them and they have learned to accept you even after you have colonised and killed millions of innocent humans on the planet including dropping a nuclear bomb. Grow up
I would like to thank you to show the real beauty of my country , great work and i hope to see you again in Tunisia and take you to other great spots. Thanks 🙏🏼
Comprehensive and instructive! Love the format. Food and road tripping make it real! Was this the rug haggling experience..? The thing I liked about this also was you gave a little bit for everyone, to include movie fans. Great job!

I'm tunisian and I'm amazed how quick you get all those small details about life, tips, which really help a lot to discover the deep side of the country...That's so smart. An congratulation for not loosing your sun glasses til the end of your journey... Ilived for a while in the USA as a french teacher in Louisiana and Americans don't even know Tunisia an never heard about it before..so thank you for what you're offering to us
Thank you on behalf of many other Tunisians for promoting For Tunisia 🇹🇳 ❤️❤️❤️
I am from Tunisia, it is really nice. I advice everyone to go.
Nice content, now I'm bagging my husband to go to Tunisia 😜
Welcome

Make sure you bag him in a big enough bag that's got hols in it, ps remember to check on him from time to time just in case
Make sure to leave the bag open a little bit so he could breath
It's begging, and I don't think you would still use bagging if you knew what does it mean
Love from Lebanon 🇱🇧 to beautiful green Tunisia and its impressive, sweet, open, intelligent people. ❤️😘

Huck Finn Hopefully you will have a great time among us, spending the new year in nightlife clubs can surely be fun
Hey David can i know what kind of warnings did you get ? ty
I love Tunisia so much
For me Tunisia is the best place in Africa ❤❤❤❤❤ 🇹🇳🇹🇳🇹🇳🇹🇳🇹🇳
This is probably the best travel review i have ever watched. And I have watch alot. This was very comprehensive and the shots were awesome. Very impressive. But you were there during Ramadan which is our fasting month...thus the low amount of people "touring" when your there. Great work.
this makes me miss everything about Tunisia, the food, the shops, the beaches, the people and especially my family, i haven’t been there since 2018 and i miss it dearly
Tunisia شعب الهريسة ❤🇹🇳
Thank you for visiting our country 💞
Thank you for promoting for Tunisia. I'll be sharing this video on my page
Tunisia is one of the most beautiful countries in North Africa, along with Egypt and Morocco.
In Morocco, we all love to visit Egypt and Tunisia. Amazing vacation for everybody.

Great video! You did a wonderful job. Tunisia is a beautiful country.
That was awesome. I'm falling in love with this place. I made a friend on Facebook who lives in Sousse. She offered to be my guide if I ever get around to going there. Again, great video.
Traveling with cousins and good friends is always wonderful 🤩 didn’t know Tunisia could be such an interesting place to visit! I made one Tunisian friend not too long ago who studies in uni at Hong Kong: might need to ask him to take us on a trip to Tunis and beyond with other friends 😹
Im from Tunisia and This put an smile on my face
I'm very excited to finish discovering Tunisia this summer, im planning Tabarka and Bizerta. the Tunisian Government allowed German citizens to travel with no restrictions, thank god Tunisia is the only covid-free nation south of the mediterranean and coincidentally my favorite! 😅

I'm so glad it tickled your fancy! : ) Thank you for watching!
Yes it was so informative
Grow up
I love this video it's so detailed and very well explained, and also I'm glad that you liked your trip to Tunisia!!
thank you!

i'm so happy when the people speak good about my lovely Tunisia and thank you for your visit we're so happy

Great job!
I came to know about Tunisia by my friend living in Matmata Gabe's,Tunisia. We are good friends hope one day I visit Tunisia.
🇵🇰🇹🇳❤️
Awesome video Haley!! You inspired me to do the Croatia-Montenegro-Bosnia roadtrip this summer (went to Dubrovnik, Kotor and Mostar with my family in the beginning of August which was AMAZING) and now you're inspiring me to do a roadtrip in Tunisia! Thanks for sharing your travels in parts of the world which some people wouldn't think of visiting!!!

My Grandma was raised in Tunis and have always.wanted to go there. My Great Grandfather ran the plantations while my Great Grandmother taught French on the schools. Although we are primarily Sicilian, I am also part North African amd proud of it. Though DNA I have found pme cpuson that still remaons there.
Thank you for loving Tunisia.. . next time u sould visit the north and the "sahel" .. I am an architecture student and I can help showing you some beautiful places arround the country and also, I can cook very delicious tunisian dishes :) you are more than welcome
Thanks a lot but why most of the people they do not speak English! 🤔🤔🤔🤔
@@iamokwithoutlovemylife6272 actually thats not true , most of younger people speak english and prefer english more than french . Old people speak arabic and french because we're a former french colony , also french and english are an obligation to study at school for at least 11 years for french and 8 or 7 for english .
im from tunisia exactly ... sousse town / we love all tourist people and y are welcome in every time haley :)
I'm Tunisian and I LOVED the video and how you described the places and all.. Btw in most tunisian cities you can wear whatever you want, you don't have to cover yourself or anything and you should've tried street food as well it's low prised and very delicious!
Please i really want to visit tunisia but i have no one over there, and i will be very happy to communicate you as well thanks, please add me on WhatsApp, +233238686792
I'm so glad to hear that it's not mandatory
This is some of so much fun waiting for you in Tunisia .
This video show's 30% percent of what u can find in Tunisia.
Thank you for your time to try and show our small beautiful country to the world 😊
You're all welcome here
Carthage ruins looks like Hierapolis in Pammukale, Turkey😍😍😍
Very nice video!!! My husband is from Tunisia and I've traveled there myself several times. I enjoyed watching your video and you have opened my eyes to some new places to visit!!
What a beautiful video you've made, but I can't believe you missed El Djem! Everything you mentioned and reviewed looks and sounds spectacular, but the third- largest Colosseum in the ancient world is a major reason I'd want to visit this country so rich in history. Great job with the video, I really enjoyed it! :)
Thank you! I knew I was going to miss a few other great spots!
Come and visit us 🇹🇳❤️welcome
yes, definitely Tunisia it’s on my plans now. 😍 so beautiful
