How lovely to start the video with the small troop of Blue & Royals on their early morning exercise ride, with the Corporal of Horse (no sergeants in the Household Cavalry) mounted on the lovely Northumberland outside Westminster Catherdral. Thank you for the "extras" today and for all your wonderful videos of the various bands throughout the year. Merry Christmas and a happy 2025 to you and your family, MrBaton, from a very warm Western Australia.
Thank you Mr. Baton for this amazing video! I love to watch these type of videos. The Band of the Welsh Guards were supporting the Irish and Scot Guards in this guard change. Irish as the new guard and the Scots as the old. Anyways the songs played in this video are: BAND OF THE WELSH GUARDS 27:45 Wassail 30:45 All I want for Christmas is you 34:35 Slattery’s Mounted Fut NO. 12 COMPANY IRISH GUARDS PIPER COMPANY 38:02 Company Marches of the 1st Battalion Irish Guards BAND OF THE WELSH GUARDS 39:29 The Thin Red Line BAND OF THE WELSH W/ SCOT GUARDS 43:50 Figaro 44:43 The Purple Pageeant 47:43 Men of Wales (Thanks for the Help!)
Sry....I heard a bit different. Perhaps no the official names but memories from childhood. 1. 12 days of Xmas 2.Noel 3.hark the Herald Angels Sing 4. Jingle Bells 5. Dancing through the Snow on a 1 horse open sleigh 6. .....and to you....a happy new year 7. All I want for Xmas is you 8. ?Paddy McGinty's Goat -Pipers 9. Its the greatest mix up I have ever seen, father he was orange and me mother she was green -Pipers D on't remember the rest sry.
38:02 - I believe that these are some of the "Company Marches of the 1st Battalion Irish Guards" though I might be wrong on this one 38:39 - "The Thin Red Line" by Kenneth J. Alford 44:43 - "The Purple Pageant" by K. King 47:43 - "Men of Wales" by A. Elis Also at 43:50 the march is "Figaro"
@GloriAlexandria I was just about to reply to give you the missing marches, but @nicolayordanov9799 has just beaten me to it! I agree with the answers, but "The Thin Red Line" (Band of the Welsh Guards) starts at about 39:30 not "38.39".
Great video once again MrB! I think the Band of The Welsh Guards sounded a bit off at times here (not to the untrained ear I'm sure) they possibly had a late one for the last Saturday before Christmas and a few may have been feeling a bit rough

In the first scene, is that how they teach their drummers? Very interesting insight!
