Congrats to The Mets 👏 I had you to win on Stake so im over the moon right now, I need to thank Lindor, dude played out of his mind, I think the big contract was worth it on this one, and he is actually a great leader too. The series was one of the best I've seen in my life, 3 good games from 2 good teams.

The dude is having his best season as a Met. A true leader in every sense of the word and his baseball IQ is off the charts. I normally don't like big contract players because they're rarely worth it but Lindor has been worth every cent of his contract.

My brother and I grew up following the early 1970s Washington Senators teams and after a thirty-three year lapse, the Washington Nationals, remember well the Pirates in gms. five, six, seven in the 1971 World Series and again in 1979 with the playoffs series of 1972, 1974, 1975 in between, then the 1990, 1991, 1992 east division titles and the wild card or 2014 division series of the previous decade. Milwaukee, like Pittsburgh has seen not many playoff series in the past four decades.

Mendoza said again today that "we're gonna go back to play at Citifield again for our fans" and just the way he said it he believed it. I think the team believed it too. This team is special.

I’m terrified. Absolutely terrified. When I see the Mets, I see the 2022 Phillies. I see a team that doesn’t quit no matter what and has been forced to play playoff baseball for months. I see a team running on magic and storybook. When I see the Phillies, I see the 2022-2023 Braves. I see a team that has coasted throughout the end of the season and limped into the playoffs. I see a team that is extremely vulnerable and has no clue what they’re dealing with. I have no confidence we’re going to win.

That's a good comparison. That Phillies team kept losing then they fired Girardi and came out of nowhere to go on that incredible run. The Mets turning point could be when Jorge Lopez made that comment then Lindor called the team meeting. Every year there seems to be at least a team that comes from nowhere and goes on a run. This year it's the Mets with runner up going to the Tigers and the Royals.
The Brewer's fans are in a state of disbelief. One thing I left out, the Alonso homer fell into the party area. They are not partying in Milwaukee.

You can sum up the New York Mets six decades like this- the Seaver and Kranepool era (1962 to 1979), the Keith Hernandez era starting in mid-1983, the Mike Piazza era starting in 1998, the David Wright era starting in 2004 and the Pete Alonso era in the late teens and early 2020s???
@@gregpaspatis9425 That's pretty accurate except I would go Hernandez and Carter for the early 80s era. And for the Alonso era I would add Lindor (who joined in 2021). We might be looking at the end of Pete's era then it'll be the Lindor era. It'll all depend on how much he's asking and if the Mets are willing to make an offer. He has a chance to make a HUGE case for himself against the Phillies.
Mets fans were disappointed in Alonso but we were always rooting for him . The guy we wanted to be clutch just had the MOST clutch moment of any player this year. Couldnt be happier . Polar Bear Power. LFGM!

i can't speak for all Phillies fans, but I definitely feel like most would of took a Brewer matchup over the Mets. I don't know who will win, but I would imagine the Mets are definitely more concerning to the Phillies. I wanted this division series badly for the Mets, and it felt like that wasn't going to happen. I think this will be a very exciting series.
