- "You better dig what you got now, 'cause it ain't gonna last forever"
Maybe the grammar wasn't perfect, but the message contains so much truth. Time moves very fast, stay close to those who had your back and by your side when you needed help, but most of all tell them how much you love them because one day soon, it will be too late ⏰👻💙
Henry Winkler was an excellent actor and human being!! Can you dig it!
I was a kid when this show aired. I never got the depth of this episode until watching it now. What stellar writing and acting. ❤
You articulated My experience as a kid seeing this episode versus seeing it today through the eyes of a 56-year-old man.
"Dig what you have now because you're not gonna have it forever" Fact.
I agree my friend. A total FACT. Only the Fonz could have come up with that one.
I've just started reading Henry Winkler's memoir and watching this scene makes me think "He's obviously digging into his real life for inspiration here." No wonder Fonzie likes being with the Cunninghams. Because they're a family, something Fonzie never had. Henry's own family didn't show him much in the way of love either. Calling your own child "A dumb dog" because he or she is a slow reader is just cruel.
You can have it forever. It just depends on where. If you choose Jesus (Yeshua), you can have life forever with him and the Father. If you choose not to know him, you will be cast into outer darkness without him forever.
Otherwise, on a different note, I thought that this performance and his performance when Richie was in the hospital were the two best performances he did on Happy Days.
This is actually a great scene for this show. It has a lot of emotional depth and nuance and resonates even to today as glad they’re willing to embrace such an important subject as young people suicide, and the pretty much out come out and say that you need a bigger perspective than the moment you’re in the moment you’re in a place you’re in may not be the worst thing and it won’t be there forever.
no the best fonzie scene in my opinion is two.....first where fonzie has to hit richie to save face and second is when richie is in a coma from a bike wreck and fonze ask god to save his friend and fonzie cries.....
The Fonz rules!
I don't remember this episode but that was a Hecuba good scene!
I see what you did there! Nod to Hamlet the Musical…😂
Wow...I remember this episode but not Fonzie's speech to the audience. Or his confession to Richie, I think that went over my head.
Love U ABSOLUTELY Fonze 😊😊😊😊😊 ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL
Damn the show was so good back then - Seasons 1 & 2 just killed it. Then they went live and .....
The first two seasons were classic. The first two or three seasons of "live" were OK, but Seasons #1 and #2 were classic and memorable.
We all loved Da Fonz and Richie because we could relate to them on many levels...then and now.
Bless U Fonze, every day I think that not to B😮😮
The best possessions are friends and family!
Can't say ENOUGH ABOUT THIS EPISODE 😊😊
I’ve never seen this before, it made me cry. Beautiful!
BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL 😊😊😊😊
BLESS U HOPE ALL THINK ABSOLUTELY ABOUT THIS EPISODE 😮😮😮😮 CAUSE I DO
Almost 59 I think it every time 😮😮😮😮
Why were all the comments deleted from my post? They were all positive, upbeat, heartfelt comments. I guess that's not allowed on UA-cam. Jeez
thx for sharing video...makes me nostalgic for that time Happy Days was on and people.
I usually screenshot my comments & sometimes just direct message channel owner...as gets deleted. feel utube gets badly possessed...think Amazon is going to start filtering out reviews if algorithm thinks made up by fake poster. Safe comment place Amazon...adieu and farewell
I need this show on blueray all episodes
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😮😮😮😮😊😊😊😊😊
YES YES
First of all it was just TV show and he was cool hanging around high school kids because he taught them positive life lessons always did the right thing when he talked about library cards kids went to a local library and got library cards like never before , but again it was only a show
This is really good but it is the early Fonzie Xmas episode that always gets me. “ Aaay-I got a tree.”
I CAN'T SAY ENOUGH ABOUT THIS EPISODE, WATCHED THEM ALL 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉😊😊
Is it really so bad to not to be? Suicide is not the answer in nearly all cases but the idea that one day we will be in a state that is worse than anything imaginable is horrible..
Continuity problems.
If you can pretend a family member never existed in later seasons, then you can pretend that Fonz's dad left when he was just a toddler...
@@divinity176 I'm not actually sure what you're referring to. I was talking about how, in the time it takes to go from one shot to the next - no time at all - Fonz's cloak goes from in front over his shoulder, to behind his shoulder, at 0.16. That's all, no big deal.
@@MarkLewis-d3l OH, ok 🙂I thought you meant character continuity - as the Fonz developed, they settled on 3 years old being when his father left. In this much earlier episode, it was 12.
The only way the Fonz was cool was to hang around high school kids !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You're the same guy who leaves idiotic remarks in the comments on Rifleman episodes. You point out all the reasons why you think the characters on the shows are ridiculous , yet you obviously spend a good deal of your time watching those shows.
I think you leave the comments because you depend on replies as a source of attention. You don't have any actual friends and these exchanges are the closest thing to human interaction you can get. It's an awfully sad existence - yet I feel more contempt than sympathy towards you.
@@PlayerToBeNamedLater1973 I`m free to leave what ever comment I want,, Karen
@@mid-ohioguardian6927 You sound just like what a Karen would say.
@@ttuny1412 that`s Mrs. Karen
What a horribly and needlessly cruel post. Shame on you. @@PlayerToBeNamedLater1973
