My favourate machine of all time. Its a bit of a shame that its a gamestop exclusive only so there is little known out there for it. However if youre slightly tech savvy and have experience with emulators, as in adding bios files and roms and configuration, if you can do that, then this thing is a beast for you. highly recommend 10/10
THanks for this video. I'm new to all of this and saw that the Iconic Arcade is now $299 in Canada. I see it's powered by a Rasberry Pi. I have a Rasberry Pi that I bought a few years ago but never set up. Now I'm thinking I could just replicate this system and plug it into my regular televsion and use my USB joysticks? That card you bought from Amazon, that has all of the game roms on it? Thanks James

I just ordered this from GameStop Canada, just wondering if you’ve tried it on a different screen with the separate from the cabinet controller configuration? And do you happen to know if you can plug that controller into a pc and use it as a controller only device ?
I have not tried it on any other screen. For me, I like the retro look of the cabinet. Any guest that visits immediately drawn to the arcade that I have set up in our family room and the iconic arcade quickly becomes the favorite.
Thank you for this. I’m kind of stuck in the same way trying to figure out how to get other games and what’s with batacera. Are you able to provide the link that you ordered the SD card from with Amazon? Thanks
Hey the steps on how to get other games is pretty easy actually. All you need is WinSCP and your Machine should be in the same Wifi Network. You can download your Iso files (Games) from the internet from CDromance, Wowroms etc. Then open WinSCP and drag & Drop the game into your correct Emulator file. Then you can play on your Iconic Arcade Machine your game that you got. There is also a Tutorial on the Iconic Arcade UA-cam Page. The name of the Video ist: How to add games in Batocera. There it shows you pretty easily on how to add your games.
@@benwilson2420 MAME along with alot of other systems came with the reformat using the boot up usb device that was provided when I purchased the machine. When you boot up the machine using the usb device and after you configure the controllers you will get to the operating system menu. Before you press any buttons, take a second and scroll left or right. You should see multiple operating systems. As far as the additional games you will most likely have to search for the roms either online from your computer or purchase from ebay or Amazon.

Give it a go let me know how you get on. Have you tried to duplicate your sd card from the iconic console?
Hey du kannst die Spiele Legal kaufen, aber es ist eigentlich leichter diese sich illegal zu besorgen. Du gibst z.b dein Lieblingsspiel ein wie Street Fighter und schreibst Iso dahinter. Ergo Street Fighter 2 Turbo Edition Iso. Dann lädst du dir dein Spiel runter. Du kannst dann deine ausgewählten, interessanten Spiele per WinSCP (Wlan) auf die Maschine packen per Drag and Drop. Seiten wo ich mir meine Iso`s ziehe heißen WowRoms, CDRomance etc.
The speakers are very good for what they are and since they fit right above the cabinets screen the surround sound it provides is fantastic. It might not be a great idea to replace the speakers unless you can fit them exactly where the originals are for the sound to travel right
Does anyone know why when I put a micro sd card in, it works but have absoloutley no sound to anything? The setup says I have sound and then I boot up the micro sd and there's literally no sound at all? Someone please help.

Anything is better than Arcade1up these days. Originally they were created as an alternative to full cabinet machines which were around 1k CAD. Nowadays, Arcade1up machines are reaching that price with barely any upgrades. At least with this one, you have the bones of a good cabinet for less than the price of a A1up machine.

I must say i am abit disapointed with it.
Mine came with damaged cabinet and problem speakers
Is it simple to add games to it
Are you using the 8 bitdo controller?
Not sure what bitdo means?, but they joystick control is an 8 way micro switch joystick and all the buttons are micro switch as well.

Yes
You need to config sound setting output
And may need to use kodi if settings menu didnt do it
The sound is fine, it's the recording device that has the problem.
