Carlos Erban You did an excellent job of explaining how to use the Nikon D7000 Sr. Erba, particularly to users of this excellent camera. As an Engineer and former officer in the Military and of late a High School teacher for over 12 years following retirement from the Military, and years of experience in teaching. providing instruction and writing operation manuals,. It is my view that you qualify as a top-class instructor. I started photography at age 7, more than half a century ago, and eventually doing my own developing. enlarging and printing, having invested in a DURST enlarger. Having owned several 35mm FILM cameras in later years, Nikon - Pentax - Minolta and thousands of $ in Photography equipment, most sold as Digital Cameras started appearing. I bought the Nikon D7000 DX when it was first released ... The Body alone was then priced around $1500 as I recall. Have not used it much over the past 5 years, and am now inspired to use it more having retired from teaching and have more time available for my own pleasure before I depart this earth.
It took me a few hours to watch.. I loved it very much and replayed several parts of it to make sure I got it. It was difficult to look down at my camera screen and mimic your actions, so I paused it frequently as well. I learned more in this one video than I have in several others combined. Thank you so much. .. now i need to watch the video on flashes.
Thank you SO much. I really appreciate because I am learning to use this camera for the first time. Reading the manual alone is too confusing. Your tutorial is the only one that goes through the whole menu in an understandable way! You are an excellent teacher. Having the view of the entire screen is essential.
Omg this video was amazing. I have a new-to-me Nikon D7000 and have watched several you tube videos on how to use it. Your video was the absolute best one I watched! I learned so much about my camera and took lots of notes. Thanks for taking the time do make this video!!!
Thank you very much. This is very helpful. I just picked up a used one and I'm starting to learn photography. I was overwhelmed by all the buttons. This is helpful.
ive recently got into instant film photography and film photography. and well some friends are getting married and im honored they asked me to takes their pictures even if its because they have a budget lol. but they also want digital photos. i didnt have that kind of camera but my mom does and its this exact camera you have in this video and omg thankyou so much. i was thinking i wasnt gonna be able to do this but now i know alot more than i did and im only 10 min in the video.
I am a novice. I have owned my Nikon D7000 for over a year, and basically used the camera as a point & shoot; no idea about ISO, aperture etc... Very interested to learn and this tutorial is great for me, to get started learning how to use the camera. I didn't know anything about ISO or F Stop, beforte watching this video!! Thanks!! Jim
This by far is the most helpful video I have found to make sense of my new camera. A novice like me needs to be able to understand what is being taught and Carlos is magnificent at explaining the functions in detail. I hope he can help with my other photography needs like how to use different lenses.
Found this tutorial to be informative, useful, and efficient. Really appreciate you passing down info you have learned from the photography course. Thanks Carlos!
Really nice and informative Job. Pro Photographer for 30+ years. I definitely got a couple mysterious settings sorted out. Thank you for taking the time to help us all out.

THANK you very much I just started out with a used D7000 and I love it your tutorial has helped me immensely and I now use it on MANUAL more often now ! 👍

Thank you Carlos Erban for a very informative and helpful tutorial! You keep it in simple laymen's terms, which has already helped me so much. Keep up the good work!
I recently bought d7000. To learn photography . i know its bit late for that model but i was able to afford it in 2nd hand price. thanks for the video it was very helpful . I appreciate your explanation
Thank you so much for taking the time to explain all of these things! I kept thinking during the video you sound like Tom Hanks with a latin accent haha
G'day Carlos ! Thank you for your video. I have learned heaps from this and really appreciate the time that you have taken to put the video on You Tube. Cheers from Sydney Australia.
Thanks for posting this helpful video. Believe it or not I just bought this camera used. It had only 4700 shutter releases. I am transitioning from a point and shoot to a DSLR. This is a great camera for a beginner like me.
Great tutorial. Thanks. I have changed the pre focus button to AE-L AF-L button but now want to change it back to the shutter button. Looked everywhere. Can you please advise on this thank you.
Old tutorial but a great one, only issue I will say is in between sometimes the movie get's too dark, can't see anything what you are pressing and where. Hopefully next time you make it's better.
Completely new to the DSLR world. I'm used to point and shoot as well as my iphone camera. Looking to purchase the D7000 from Best Buy with the 18-140 lens for $799 for my trip to Peru after Christmas. This video is very helpful for me, knowing nothing. Thank you for introducing me to this camera. While looking at DSLRs it seems that this camera is something that I won't outgrow when I get more into photography. I'd love some feedback about how it competes today since it was release a good while ago! Thanks again for a great video!
many thanx for the excellent video tutorial; only in few times i felt difficulty to keep pace with you as I got the d7000 just yesterday;seeing the video is much better than reading the manual; whats your opinion about 18-105 lens as i bought only body; i have 50mm prime and 55-300mm lens
The Nikon D7000 U1 and U2 positions allow users to save and recall camera ettings immediately as shooting conditions change. The Nikon D7000 was the world's first Nikon that enabled users easily to save and recall complete groups of settings simply by turning the knob. The U1 and U2 setting mode saves and recalls everything ... including: Autofocus modes, color and contrast settings, exposure settings, and, everything about the camera that would take time to set manually. The U1 and U2 modes are easy to set. Set the Nikon D7000 to your requirements, and then press: (select U1 or U2) then select
this means that in the mode you have the camera (e.g. meteering, shooting mode, video, etc) those functions are not available. For pictures, every function should be available with when you set the mode to manual

I appreciate your comments. This motivates me to do more
Very comprehensive and detailed video. Great job!! How do I find out why some of the function buttons are greyed out in the menu?
this means that in the mode you have the camera (e.g. meteering, shooting mode, video, etc) those functions are not available. For pictures, every function should be available with when you set the mode to manual
Wow this helped me alot, Didnt even know i could press the AF/M button.
Thank you!
Thanks for your full support, really find it helpful.
