I think the baby is some kind of abomination. I liked that she killed the baby, it always bugged me that at the end of Rosemary's Baby that a mother would even love the spawn of Satan and let it live. This ending is part of why I liked it much more than THE FIRST OMEN. I also like her character arc in the film.
So honestly I didn't feel there was any ambiguity in the end, you see the other babies in the jars and how mutated and no human they look, when the baby is born there is literally gasping and gurgling sounds coming from it. It's a mercy kill of an abomination. I don't know how much interpretation there is
The babies in the jars didn't make the full 9 months. This seemed to be the only baby actually born after 9 months from the evidence presented to us. It may have been Satan himself! 😱
It wasn’t ever something I saw as ambiguous. I just felt she was driven to kill the baby in the circumstances, regardless of its form.
Driven by rage? Due to how it was conceived? Did she even kill it? 🤔
The idea of trying to clone Jesus with his blood and the failed clones in jars do kind of ripoff what was done in Alien Resurrection.
I guarantee the makers of Immaculate have not watched Alien: Resurrection 😂👽
I think the baby was in fact, not human
I think the idea of extracting DNA was obviously copied from Jurassic Park, where they instead extracted dino DNA and re-created the dinosaurs. It was fairly certain that the "child" of Cecilia was not normal. We saw earlier the results of failed experiments in jars, in scenes that looked like taken from the Resident Evil series. As for the ending, it was left ambiguous. We didn't see what happened to the baby: perhaps she missed deliberately, and the baby survived. We also didn't know what happened to Cecilia afterwards, and so there could be a sequel. Perhaps she was recaptured by the convent people and forced to make more babies. Perhaps she escaped from Italy and went back to join a convent back in the US who didn't know her past history. There are so many possibilities, and Sydney Sweeney can play the character again.
Way better than The First Omen.
What's wrong with the other nuns that are there . They seem supernatural or something. And why are they evil in that way.
I guess they're just excited for the second coming.
@@WolfmansGotNards The bit at the beginning though when the nun tries to escape and they all come over moving side to side in unison really spooky like shadow people or something, I really didn't get the whole movie to be honest. I thought it was really odd. I understood it but there was also a lot that wasn't explained.
My theory is that at least some of them (like the ones in red veils) are "failed" mothers, maybe insane with religious delusion from believing they were going to be mother to a god and then losing the child/also having it come out as an abomination. Their actions may be trying to prevent another failure (in their minds), or they could also be possessed to some degree if you go with the anti-christ/demon angle.
@@victoriamarie1859 Ahh I see. And that's why they kill the ones who try and escape. That makes perfect sense.
Immaculate was better than First Omen. Faster pace higher body count and very bloody. First Omen was boring and Garbage for the simple Fact it shits all over the Canon and lore of the Omen trilogy.
