Eh. That's pretty normal. Most teens in the Zombies era had probably never heard of Jelly Roll Morton, for example. That said, I bet a lot of these commenters would have heard one of their songs, or even a song that samples a Zombies track.
They probably would know "Time of the Season" if they heard it and possibly "She's Not There" or "Tell Her No" and when they get cool they'll know "Care of Cell 44."
That's the beauty of it.

Met The Zombies a few years back at a small venue in Atlanta, GA. Rod is one of the kindest guys I've ever met. We spoke for around 30 minutes and he even hooked me up with a free ticket for that night and let me sit at their friends/family table.

Dan Drehobol's skate part in Free Your Mind by transworld skateboarding was beautifully paired with "Time Of The Season". It was the most money Transworld ever paid out for the rights to a song and it worked damn well. I liked the song already before seeing that video but now it's something I'll never forget.
