This song and Chris just make my heart melt (swoon). Saw him perform this song last Sunday in Dallas with Johnny Reno on the sax, HOT!! One of the best things about Chris is his sense of humor and he doesn't take himself serious. Love the tie clips on his suit lapels :)
This is one of my favourites from Chris. It's usually set on "repeat" on my stereo :o) Wonderful. As someone else commented though, it's a shame there is not a more up to date version on You Tube.
They changed it up for this live version. But on the album, the last four notes played by the horn are a nod to a famous jazz / lounge song - I think it might even have been a movie theme. I'm drawing a blank. Anyone know the title of that song?
Yeah we do! some with us, some not... Jimmy Sommerville Jeff Buckley Ray Wylie Hubbard Peter Rowan to name a few.. not sure why (though the "why" really doesn't matter) but the high notes resonate on a very deep level.. on a core level.. cellular level...
This is my favorite song Chris does after Wicked Game
It's almost like a paralytic listening to this song--how the memories wash over you--a moment in time, etched and frozen; alive.
(& Doc--whoa!)
The control and restraint - the ability to hold back - by the band makes this tune. Incredible rendition!
Remember me those nights listenin' all Chris Isaak while lovin' my girlfriend. Awesome... Timeless.
also, I forgot to mention perfect hair and a thank you for sharing this.
He was so fine back then, still is now, but so cute back then. Perfect eyes, skin, face, suits, band, voice, music ...ah
This is a perfect combination of music and feelings

Great song by Chris. Simple melody and chords but such as sad shimmer to it. Very cool with Doc Severinsen on this as well.

Parfois dans cette vidéo, il a des airs à Robert Conrad ! Quel charmeur !!!
Chris! You should come to play in Hungary Europe, and You will see!
Wow, that goes back a few years. Was this one of his first appearances on TS? The video for this song is like a mini movie.
Chris was just a badass ahead of and behind his time if that makes sense.
I don't like the synth in the live version but this song is incredible.
