Marine needs to be able to run 3 miles under 27 minutes as well to pass the annual fitness test. So he can’t just blast gear and lift heavy weights all year round.

Fittest I ever been in my life and as soon as I stopped working out after the military, my fitness digressed within a 3 month period. Its definitely an effort to maintain that balance on the daily.

Honestly these guys are REALLY STRONG for Marines. Most Marines can’t lift heavy. Because all the workouts are based on Calisthenics. Marine training doesn’t really include much strength training.
