- Welcome to my 2nd (?) tomato garden tour on #tomatotuesday July 9, 2024.
I'm growing 19 different varieties, 32 (33) individual plants in raised beds and containers. There's been a lot of growth but I'm also having my fair share of issues. Please join me on this rainy day to see what you can see (psst a jungle).

Hello hello Hudson, good to see you. I appreciate you watching and chatting. Yes it sure is a lot of tomatoes! In the past my harvests have been nice but nothing crazy especially considering what I plant. But this is the first time I've grown THIS many. Also has me thinking about my growing methods...I swear every year I'm going to prune to a couple of leaders but dang it I can't seem to do that! Lol. But like I say in the tour, I usually prune more than I have so far. That said, I can't wait to see my preservation game too! 😂🤔 Hey if I get enough to eat fresh weekly and share some I'll be happy. And if I get some to freeze for chili in the winter I'll be happy then too! Take care!🙋♀️💜

I like black cherry tomatoes almost as much as my favorite sungold but they take a long time for me to get any. The sungold will have been producing for about a month before the black cherry fruit really come on strong.
Ahhhh okay good to know. I recall it taking a long time for me to even get the couple I did last year, but I assumed the issue there was my care (or lack thereof) and the plant's location. I too was getting fruit from other plants before it, same for the Brad's Atomic Grape. I have a nice looking truss out there full of fruit so we'll have to see how long until they ripen. I don't know how you keep up with all the names of your tomatoes and where each is.
😄 I like to nerd out on varieties and knowing what they are. I do have tags in the ground for almost all of them. It's like practice; once you've done it enough times you just remember. Even then I still stutter at times. I got all my garlic varieties mixed up last year and that is killing me! I want to start over with varieties for which I know the names and then save those, instead of just save seed garlic again this year. Lol! Thanks for stopping by and chatting. 🙋♀️💜
