Silverado was to be a shining new community for north-west Arizona. Situated just off US-93, outside Kingman, the 5000-acre site would have homes (around 113 luxury dwellings would stand on their own two-and-a-half acre plots), parks with barbecue grills and an 18-hole golf course designed by Forrest Richardson. Neighborhood communities were planned with 12,000 homes, schools, a fire station, shops and a sewage plant. ‘The quiet beauty of the surrounding desert’ would, said the developers, ‘enhance life’s daily experiences.’ And then, in 2008, the housing market crashed and so did the plans for Silverado. The owners applied to the Mohave County Board of Supervisors to rezone 1400 acres residential to general commercial/highway frontage to build the Albiasa solar plant. Although, despite controversy over how much groundwater this would use, the county approved the zoning in 2009, Albiasa never applied to the Arizona Corporation Commission for approval and the project was never built.
I must have passed by this many times and never knew about it since I have traveled to Kingman/Bullhead City and Laughlin from Southern Utah, but I have seen this on other YT channels before but I like your exploration the best.
Would be nice sharing where is it at, and other locations you go to, Love your Vids young man, Thank you, and Stay safe, away from "lurking faces in bushes" hahaha, that was cool description.
Excellent video. Show so many different aspects. What does Siri could have been. But also that probably never should have been attempted. Economical factors possibly. Look at the harshness of the environment. Nature's taken back its own.
I dont condone it, sad as hell imo, everything, it has to be from angery frustrated stupidity. Mixed up emotions and letting it out. The urbex is nice, thanks for sharing another vid trooper!
If these were down in Baja California, the people would claim them and fix them up and live in them for free. In the United States people come out and just vandalize them
I have always wanted to visit the homes to see them from myself but I do not have a vehicle. I am off to 303 and Lake Pleasant Parkway are they near there?
I went by this project back in either 2012 or 2013. I can tell that 10+ years has not been kind to these homes. Even then I wondered if they might ever be finished and moved into? I guess not.
Love your nonchalant, and dare I say, quirky videos of desert detritus in the great American Southwest. Keep the great videos coming !
Man, what a waste of what could have been beautiful homes. Such a shame. Thanks for the video and for taking us along on your adventure.
i can not put any words to this shame... you said it !

And they appear to have build quite nicely too, looks like high-quality contruction as opposed to so many of these developments nowadays.
Got A lot Catch up to do 😄Great Clips bro

Good morning. Seen these homes before and always wanted to buy one, fix it up and move in.🙂👍

Great edit, creepy place 😳
Groovy man.
I don't understand why people smash these up. Would be fit for use by free campers, homeless or squatters if they just left them alone.
I don’t understand either, you save it, so others can use it, but no ! They smash it, then no one can use it
Just goes to show how considerate some people are, right?

Tweakers looking for copper wire a pipe to sell for scrap $$.
The houses seem very well ventilated, though... :D
All those semi truck tires are there because the individual didn't want to pay a disposal fee.
A great video.👍
Love the fireplace ❤️
Cool spot 😎
Cool 😎 thanks
Hey, good to see you
I would take that piece of property and put a pool in and live there 😁👍
Be safe and careful.🙂👍🙏
Just so sad that vandals came and did all the damage to those homes.😥
Tires use them for earthship buildings.(Homes)
I would buy the Santa Fe style one.👍

Vandalism is a terrible thing.
Someone just needs to come in fix the ones up that are there and be done.👍 Be a private neighborhood.🙂👍
Looks like all the copper wire has been stripped out of the walls
Trespassing is not illegal unless You have Criminal Intent.

Not bird shot slugs
Tweekers already got the copper.😢
That turned over trailer was an articulate compactor-roller. It, too, is gutted.😢
were any utilities intsalled?
What drone is that he uses?
nice vedio such a waste of time building nice homes but out there
I'd suggest the potential new owners had a lucky escape, the buildings look about as solidly constructed as a cardboard box!
Compared to the stuff built super quick today by developers these are actually quite nice.
buy one, fix it up and move in.
Good for police training
Never do these by yourself
What a waste
