    From my experience as a Marine: depending on timing and recruiting quotas some odd people slip through the cracks. Once they're in boot camp they usually will force them through despite being frail, sickly, or clearly not a good fit for the military.

    I started playing 40k in 2007. Some guys in my platoon were playing and ive played tabletop games and kinda heard about the game from hobby stores i'd go to and saw them playing a game and watched and got hooked. Bought an army of elysians from one of them and played for years before going to an official store to play a tournament. I stopped playing publicly because when i got into the store, the smell from all the nerds was so horrendous i had to leave. The store smelled like old fast food wrappers baking in a car in the summer time, BO, and shame. I dont know what the hell was going on but i couldnt stay. Took me 6 years to play at a LGS again.

    This is something I've struggled with. It is your duty to report abuse. Things can very easily get worse for the next guy, and if it does you may carry that guilt with you as well as the weight of being a victim.

      This. I told a ex friend a few months ago to report someone for sexual harassment on a worksite and he refused, said he wasnt a snitch when i asked why. Also said dont put the guilt on him for not reporting if the guy who harassed him went and did the same to someone else which just baffled my mind.

    I feel attacked, but I was an infantry man and companies love me cause i pour everything in my work. North if you came to my house and saw all my hobbies or knew about the different businesses I run on the side while working my 9-5 you'd understand 🤣

    Some of the smartest guys I know were infantry guys north one is in his final year of med school the other a high school principal. Myself as a sniper who you'd might think would need to be some kind of math wiz still "just" an infantry guy with an additional skill identifier. The type of people who ignorantly hate on the infantry are the same ones who wouldnt hack it in the infantry. Respectfully unless im unaware of your background you dont really have a seat at the table to speak on the quality of servicemembers based on their job fields.

      You do realize I’m British. Your version of big standard infantry and mine are rather different.
      All military dudes are heroes and that’s why I always thank them for their service on the channel. But I also think some of you need to give civilians a break and stop acting like pussies if we say something that is a gray area and gets your panties on a bunch.
      All infantry dudes I’ve known in my country are shaggers, reprobates and scoundrels. And I love them.

      I’m infantry but I also went in under an option 40 contract. (Ranger) which has a requirement of 120 GT score.
      That GT score is more than enough to qualify you for anything else in the military.
      There were plenty of men in my unit that were stupid, but none of them were unintelligent.

      @@northernexile Marine Corps infantry isn't 'big standard infantry'. It's not about panties being in a bunch, it's about you doing the meme that the people who actually know wtf they're talking about encounter all the time. You are wrong, you don't know what you're talking about, and your response is actually you getting your panties in a bunch about that set of facts.

    21:50 creepy straight men do the same thing to women. But yeah, I have very rarely heard of women doing this kind of creepy to people they are into.
    Speaking as a guy who often gets thought of as gay (I am just quite flamboyant); I have experienced creepy people twice in my life. Buuuut both backed off when I said I was straight and definitely not interested.

    Ralderon, us “redcoats “ actually use miles kilometres to be fair when they tried to change the measurement system, the generation before like my parents still use the imperial measurement system so a lot of us grew up with both pounds ounces pints as well as kilos grams and litres also feet and metres it is bloody frustrating at times 😂

    In high school, I did play footsie with my girlfriend at the time sometimes when we were in large groups. She was also the one that primarily initiated it.

    New comers to the hobby have more guidance then we did, as a result most of the old guard dont evolve into the new methods. Im trying but some of the new methods i dont enjoy such as slopchop or what ever its called 😅.

    Hey man I love the content and I don’t want to seem like I’m being negative but I have to speak up. I think it’s irresponsible to say that if a man were S* assaulted and was severely damaged by that assault they are in some way homophobic or repressed. Anyone and everyone would understandably be shaken or mentally injured by things of this nature. Would you have said a woman who was assaulted and traumatized by the assault hates men? I know you want to help but this sort of view of male S* assault is exactly why many men don’t speak up about it. S* assault is just that, assault. If someone were physically assaulted and broke their leg the best thing to do is to admit there is an injury. The same thing applies to mental/emotional/spiritual injuries from any form of abuse. Again I know your intent is to help so is mine. 25:08

    • @Raygun9000
      @Raygun9000 18 днів тому +2

      I didn't see the intent that you did. It's more an extreme hypothetical rather than saying all men assaulted are his hypothetical.
      Your woman victim example is confusing. Would it be better to say "you wouldn't say she's heterophobic?"

    • @Platnumpatrick
      @Platnumpatrick 18 днів тому

      @ I’ll agree saying “heterophobic” vs. “hates men” is a more similar phrase to the original but either way that feeling is not responsible for the victim’s trauma and more often than not victims may harbor those feelings as a result of the assault rather than existing beforehand.

    • @Raygun9000
      @Raygun9000 18 днів тому

      @@Platnumpatrick the feeling could be responsible for the degree of trauma and the limitations of how to cope or seek help. It is relevant.
      But a qualifier may have been a good addition on North's part, but he's not scripted. It comes with the territory (his type of content).

      I would say this is an accurate statement.
      Psychologically speaking hatred towards the thing that attacked you is a self preservation strat.
