    For everyone in the comment section that dont know where the hardware goes (I didn’t know till I spent 10 min figuring it out)
    The head of the supplied bolt goes through the small hole underneath the under tray, you then mock the w brace up and apply some horizontal pressure so that you can start threading the supplied nut on without the bolt just spinning. Once you got them on the bolt (don’t tighten yet) you then reinstall the subframe bolt that was already on your car. Tighten everything down and your done. Should’ve been an easy 15 min job that took me about 30😅🥲
    The nut was a 15mm
    The oem subframe bolt was a 17mm
    @b__tr _ if you have any questions
    P.s I agree that this video didn’t help much

    I'm somewhat interested in this but worried about how low it hangs underneath. Most all other braces go under the splash shield. How often does it hit things? Speed bumps or curbs etc

    Dude I love this product but I can’t go over bumps anymore or else I’ll scrape bad, or bottom out on it lol definitely works on cornering tho. Think I might just put it on when I hit the track and take it off for daily use

      Does this really that low? Or did you lower you car already? Now I’m worried, I’m stock car of course

    • @ManuelGonzalez-nu5bb
      @ManuelGonzalez-nu5bb 3 роки тому

      @@chengzhong5342 I’m pretty low but the subframe brace does sit a little low. But if you’re stock height you should be fine. Just don’t go over bumps hard lol

    I’d like those, but roads in my area usually suck all season

    • @procivic
      @procivic  6 років тому

      +Taro McArthur If your car isn't too low, you shouldn't have too much of an issue with clearance. But if the roads are that bad, it would be best to be cautious.

    I have the front siri moto strut 10th gen I ordered from pro civic. I was thingking if this rear strut would also fit in 2018 honda civic sport hatch.

      The brace shown in this video is for the front lower. We current;y don't have a rear strut bar, but do have sub-frame links to help. See the link provided for details: www.procivic.com/p/ym/2018/civic/sirimoto-phase-2-subframe-brace.html?ctid=3776&+phase+2+subframe+brace+alvin&app_selected=41875

    Thoroughly lost ... there are only 2 bolts ? Do I have to take off the bottom cover like I am changing oil? If I am using the 2 bolts already on the car, where do the other 2 bolts go that comes with. This install video seems pretty worthless because it's to incomplete.

    Can you not do this install on a lift ? Since you suggest to use a jack to support the weight when you remove the subframe bolts ?I have a 2 piston garage jack and 2 stands... I'm not sure how to do this with what I have

    • @procivic
      @procivic  7 років тому

      +Josh Kessler The equipment you have is more than enough to do this job. The lift we have is a floor lift, which will simulate the car lifted on 4 jack stands. In your case, simply lift the front as much as you can safely and put the jack stands to hold it up. You'll have enough room to work with at this point and the jack should be free to help you hold the subframe while you do the work.

      OK great! I'll give it a shot this weekend, I already bought the part, but was just waiting to go use a lift. Thanks for your support! Your videos are amazing!

      So it worked out , as far as getting under the car.. However, I drilled the holes and placed the W brace under to mark the places to cut and realized that the part I had doesn't fit my car. I have contacted procivic.com to see what my next steps are. Hoping that I just got a wrong part :\ But the holes definitely didn't line up, about an inch off. I have a 2018 civic sport hatchback touring. Are the W brace's different sizes for hatchback vs sedan vs coupe ? Expecting to hear back from procivic on Monday.

    • @TheKezzla
      @TheKezzla 7 років тому

      So yeah the part fits, procivic.com explained to me that the hole you use for the bolt is underneath the tray, so you can't see it until you cut it out.

    Any suspension for the 2017 si?

    • @procivic
      @procivic  7 років тому +1

      +jfm041789 Unfortunately, not as of yet. The suspension is a bit different on the si due to the auto shock adjustment. Due to this, we are not sure when or if something will be released soon.

    Does it need to be removed to access service points?

    • @procivic
      @procivic  7 років тому

      +hondatrix It'll depend on what needs to be serviced, but for standard maintenance (such as oil changes), it does not need to be removed.
