What a great list!! Same on HOFAS, I loved it, Iove that it was and wasn’t what I expected but it made complete sense to me and the characters and their struggles etc I loved everything. Blood & steel / legends of thezmarr is a new favorite series for me! My only disappointment is that I read it too fast 😂

Oh I love this! Now I’m curious about Throne of The Fallen. I didn’t pick it up because I had DNF’d her other series, but maybe I’ll give it a try. I just started Veiled Kingdom and so far I’m loving it. I love when stories just throw you right into the action

✨ such a good list!!! This year has been so great for fantasy romance. I will say books 2 & 3 of kingdom of the wicked series get wayyy spicier if that at all piques your interest in them 👀 book 2 def straddles the line between adult and ya and book 3 is prob just as spicy as throne of the fallen! (But also no worries if you’re just over it haha)

I ended up hating the Everflame series after the third book. It is just so high-school. I am over it.
She has the mandatory gay friend, the group is more important than the love interest, Mom troubles... it's just very YA.
I don't know why you didn't like the second book in J Bree's series. I picked up the series after your rec, and I loved both books. Maybe you had expectations that the book would go one way and it went another... Anyway, I loved the world building and the romance and can't wait for the next one!

My favorite is a fantasy book called The Sword of Kaigen I think you would really like it Tori it’s a Japanese study. The family is caught in a war. There’s a marriage in crisis. The audiobook was amazing. I got it on Kindle Unlimited and listened to the audiobook. It was great. I think you would really like Tori
