I was living in Philadelphia, PA when the Flyers hockey team adopted her rendition of "God Bless America" as an occasional substitute for the Star Spangled Banner. The team won like 90% of those games and won back to back Stanley Cups. (1974-75, I think). Kate made a couple of surprise live performances during that streak.
@@mmjhcb I’d suggest you learn that people don’t have to kiss your butt and agree with you. Personally, I prefer Eula Beal’s version, but to each their own.
My dad LOVED Kate Smith! He would play her records while washing dishes....helping my mom.❤
A very inspirational rendition by Kate! She lives each word of this beautiful hymn and shows her reverence for the Madonna and the Lord.
The great Kate Smith

Sublime version de l'AVE MARIA DE GOUNOD .
😢😢😢
18:00 h. Hora da Ave-Maria.
I love Kate Smith, but I don’t think the classical repertoire was a good fit for her popular singing voice.
and yet she sang this song beautifully.
This must be a joke. If so don’t be a comedian
Great singer but hmm version and style
i didnt think it possible to sound bad singing this song.....
If you think this is bad, I'd suggest a Beltone appointment. Fast.
@@mmjhcb yes as soon as possible!

Bad? Every note is perfect.
Bad hahah. You probably love all of the popular garbage on the radio today by the sound of it.
