Personally, I wish Connie and Bobby Darin could have married despite her father's objections. Could have made a tremendous difference in both of their lives. Bobby died way too young due to health problems. I'm sure they still had deep loving feelings for each other. I loved all of Connie's movies and her voice was beautiful.

Connie Francis was lucky to escape Bobbie Darin who had strong feelings for Connie. which Connie's father did not approve of him due to good reasons. What is sad he went on to marry Sandra Dee after being in a film with her and got her mother to convince Sandra about dating him which he later proposed and married her right away. Sandra married Bobbie Darin who turned her world upside down due to his "huge ego" which Sandra Dee was more popular due to her years in movies. He became obsessive and controlling and refused to have her work in films. It took a lot out of her, despite having his child -he later dumped her due to his own reason stating he didn't love her anymore. Bobbie Darin lacked concern and true love for anyone except his own self. Sorry - but a man that treats his wife like property is a bum!
