My father was a mines inspector for the North West. Sutton Manor was one of the pits he inspected, as was Bold Colliery, which may tie in the the bold blacksmith griffin slayer and the subsequent Bold family. I am enjoying catching up with your older bimbles.
Another great video Kieran. My dad and grandparents are buried at St.Nicholas close by where you were standing, and my daughter and husband live close by where you finished at Farnworth.
another interesting video keiran, the dream was featured and filmed at, in a netflix series called stay close staring james nesbitt, also a marvel series called secret invasion staring Samual L Jackson and Emilia Clarke was filmed in st helens at the Watson street plilkington glass works. keep up the great content,
Brilliant video, I live in Bold and the myth I was told donkey's years ago was as a prize for slaying the Griffin, the skin of the Griffin was to be stretched out and all the land it covered was be given to him 'John the Bold' hence the area known as Bold.
Ah! St.helens, my neck of the woods. Only been to the dream a couple of times myself. Went to a wedding back in the day at st.Nicks church. Great bimble.🚲☕
Love the video bimble. Just a small thing. The name Dream came about through Jamue asking us about the darkness underground and we said for us being in darkness for 8 hours that light becomes a Dream. He loved this as coming from the Mediterranean he said he took light for granted. Loving the videos keep up the great work.
Just brilliant Kieran love your sense of humour , how do you find all these cycle tracks around towns and it seems you know where your going having never been there before
I wish i had chance to go on these rides and memorize them. I study several maps. Open street maps has a cycle overlay, bing lets you look at the ordinance survey on its maps and i also use google maps to check whether its going over a mountain. The rest is good luck. Ha
@bimblism Love these videos, although I’m surprised you didn’t visit St Bart’s around the corner from the Dream in Rainhill. That’s an unusual architecture I thought would have been right up a Church fancying Bimbler’s street! Hopefully on your Rainhill episode 🤞
We used to go to Warrington as kids from Runcorn east… we buzzed of it getting train and going to the skateboard shop… empire skate building if memory serves… then go the pictures we watched Rocky😉
Thanks for doing my hometown, Kieran. I think youre correct aboyt the flour mill, it may have been linked with the one on Sherdley park, which s long gone now but I remember it still operating in the 70s
Nothing to stop you putting Lancashire on after the town, so long as you put on the post code. Try posting a letter to your self with just your Name, house number, post code. And nothing else it will reach you just the same.
Been up to the Dream a handful of times, was a bit of a slog the first time getting up it until I realised there was a less vertical route up if you come up from behind
Lovely video Kieran but I wish you hadn't planted the thought of The Dream looking somewhat like a ... cough ... appendage. You then went on to discuss various shafts and I lost my concentration for a while. I had to rewind/replay. Cheers 👍🏼
Great Bimble, nice to see "The Dream" again. Carry on Bimbling.
Just came across your videos I’m addicted thank you music is fab too ❤
Thanks for the image at 8.40. I will never unsee this now XD
Thank you so much for these videos, Teaching me a lot about my local area. And the music is awesome.

While at Farnworth you forgot to look at the Coroners Bridewell right next too the church. A very important piece of history.
Another great video Kieran. My dad and grandparents are buried at St.Nicholas close by where you were standing, and my daughter and husband live close by where you finished at Farnworth.
Just love these Bimbles - stumbled on them by accident and addicted now!!
@@lindagraham8016 good to hear Linda :)
Thanks for this Kieran! Another fascinating video and most enjoyable. Keep up the great work! 😀😀😀
Mile stones or mile markers is my new bimble excuse to pop out, after that I may do bridges again! thanks for the video, you do them so well.

Nice to see the Church of St. Nicholas again. I've sung songs in church.

Great video Kieran. Must make a trip the Dream, like you I have passed it many times. Them Paley churches are everywhere.
We used to go to Warrington as kids from Runcorn east… we buzzed of it getting train and going to the skateboard shop… empire skate building if memory serves… then go the pictures we watched Rocky😉

Let’s bimble 😉
Your videos give real positive vibes!
A party under that road at 11:40 that looks an ace speck if no houses close 😉
Maybe not awesome all the same 👍
Another fantastic vid. You cycled past my house as well
I'll wave next time :)
We've got plenty of the cannal
Never been, (well I went to the colliery in the 1984/5 miners strike) I keep saying some time soon.
👍🏴 up until the 70s liverpool was still in Lancashire. I miss not putting Lanks on any correspondence .
Me too. It was a but if a knock to be classed as Merseyside.

When you were at Farnworth you missed the old Coroners Bridewell just near where you were standing, it has a very interesting history
I was told that it was NW Englands answer to Newcastles angel of the north, locals apparently Call it the phallus of the north😀
As seen from motorway
Fantastic close up. Ha
The kids call it knob head
Been up to the Dream a handful of times, was a bit of a slog the first time getting up it until I realised there was a less vertical route up if you come up from behind
I've often found that. Ha
At last a griffin. Been waiting ages for one to feature. How about a Hippogriff next?
Unicorns and mermaids next week.
Do you find time for a beer after all that bimbling? Exhausting work
I make do with a coke zero. Ha
Frodsham could be a good bimble I reckon
St Nicks Church is in sutton, not lea green
Just curious, how long did that take including filming stops ??
Been that basic route loads
Each time I stop can take an hour with the talking bits and the different shots. Don't get the miles in on filming days. Ha
My sister got married in this church
My cusion got married in that church in 1997
