  • What is up my UA-cam fam! In this video, I go over How to Repair a Samsung Galaxy S20 with a Cracked Broken Front Screen. Please keep in mind this video is for education purposes we are not responsible for any damages that are done to your device or self if Repair is attempted. This Galaxy S20 Cracked Screen was Repaired out of frame. This is not your traditional method of repair, as most repair shops will be swapping the entire display and assembly. I carefully remove the broken front glass and salvage the "working" AMOLED display. We will be releasing new video repairing in-frame once molds are out. Please make sure to subscribe and hit that like button! Cheers!

    • @NeverSuspects
      @NeverSuspects 2 роки тому

      @@asrarcheema6299 The frames for newer devices are not rigid enough to resist even the forces that can happen due to the size of the phones now being large enough to crack just being pressed from tight fitting clothing onto a curved body or just being in your back pocket and bending over depending on your body shape. They are big enough so just getting pulled by your pants into your ass can crack them. They are made out of what seems to be light plastic and just glued now so the shell isn't really acting as a rigid structure even though they could make it all out of aluminum or tool grade plastics with fiberglass reinforcing with a complex internal structure or simply encase the battery in a solid shell that is connected all over the outer frame to make it really difficult to flex at all as the glass cracks with just a little bit of twist and it would not add too much cost to manufacturing but as the trends have been there is no market incentive to produce a more durable phone as there is no product line or popular brand that has that kind of practical line of thinking when it comes to device development. It wouldn't stop impact damage that would break the glass but definitely stop them from cracking in your pocket. They could just make the glass a bit thicker also, this might make them significantly heavier though and that could cause them to be more likely to break when dropped but I'd rather they break if I actually drop them and not from just carrying them in my pocket. They just aim for super thin super light and modern looking design with a ideal durability of a year or two before you buy another one. Making them last until you actually need to upgrade for hardware reasons would result in quite a large portion of the market keeping them for a decade only to replace the battery as they would only use them for what they need them for and if they still work there is no Reason to spend 300-1500 dollars for a new one that is only marginally better in storage space and camera that will probably be running a new OS they decided to skin the UI so different year to year you spend months learning to navigate it all over.

    Is the scenario here where the digitizer/amoled fine, but the outer glass is trashed?
    My scenario is that I have side chips at the lower left and upper right and a transverse crack developed, and the upper quarter displays fine, but does not respond to touch.
    I assume this means I'm looking at replacing the entire assembly, which seems to be a much easier, but more costly repair in terms of part cost.

    • @tristonbowen9923
      @tristonbowen9923 3 роки тому +1

      Just a heads up the s20fe screens are extremely fragile. I dropped mine today off of my bed which is roughly 2'. I wouldn't be surprised if I had hardwood or tile flooring but my bedroom is carpeting with a wood subfloor so it was a very cushioned fall. My phone is 3 weeks old and It's in a wallet case that has a raised protective edge, I also used a silica wipe on the screen protector, and I sadly was waiting for the tempered glass protector to come in next week due to backorder. I have been reading about the poor screens which these phones have so to anyone who has or is thinking about getting an s20fe please please please protect it and make sure you have some sort of insurance on it. From my understanding, the gorilla glass screen which the s20fe has is great when it comes to scratches but is a horrible drop resistant phone screen. Hopefully, otter box or LifeProof will be making cases for these phones with the popularity they are gaining but I doubt they will due to not being a flagship.

    So you will know, this is a design flaw. If you go and look across the internet, and I went on to the Samsung Community wall, there's a lot of complaints about this. If you'll note even in this video he's pointing out where their flaw is that, which is where the crack started. There is evidently a small Gap put into the glass over where the power button is, and that creates the Flop. I have one that I had a case protector, and glass protector, in a purse that I bought specifically to protected that it fit in nicely cuz it's such a big phone. I put the phone in on my way to class, did not hit her drop my purse on the way, took it out at class, it was broken, right by the power button. I'm encouraging people to write a complaint to Consumer Affairs, and I am actually going to look into an attorney if needed. Samsung needs to stand behind this very expensive product. As it is they are making $300 per repair on these! Despicable!

    Do you have new training videos? I don't want to pay $500 for your Samsung S8 screen refurb training. I prefer newer models

      Technique and process pretty much the same. It's recommended for beginners to start with the old models since cheaper. Less cost if damage is done. I'll work on getting latest models io

      @@MrPhoneDoctor looking at the amount of time it takes to do this procedure and that's not factoring in any specialized tools then it doesn't seem financially feasible to charge for example $150 for this procedure. Not unless one has many to do .

    I dont recommend a glue remover maschine its too delicate, I got a small pixel issue. I recommend only glue remover liquid and a soft sponge. This polarizer is very thin and sensible

      If you know how to work the glue remover no issues

    I have the note 20 5G and I broke the front glass on it. Everywhere I look for replacement glass keeps bringing up screen replacement at a cost of £300 😵 .

    Interesting. I have a repairer telling me this can't be done. They are saying it's all one part and you can't replace the outer glass.
    Am I just being scammed to spend more money?

    Why not just change the entire display unit instead??? It's way quicker lol. I don't even change glass anymore because it's just to time consuming. I just install a new display.

    Im ready to dump my S20 plus,,,, glass backs suck,,and a proper case sucks in your pocket and when using it. They can make these things unbreakable if they wanted to.
    Screw the cost their already costly
