I've watched a few other videos where guys replace the back, and you are the only one, or at least the first one I have seen that takes the time to add in the step of thoroughly cleaning the edges. Top notch.
Man, your video was a lifesaver. I've had this same phone for 2+ years and I love it, and I was so pissed when I discovered over the weekend that the back glass was shattered. I followed your video and replaced it myself tonight, looks brand new.

Hi there.I will replace soon the front and rear of that model.I was thinking using isopropyl Alcohol to clean before install and make a good clean.Its recommend?Keep the good work and i,m one more viewer of this channel.
Feedback: use the overhead camera view as a picture in picture frame somewhere. And alternate when switching to the different camera/angle.

All i have is a heat gun and also what kind if solution was you using?

My case rear started lifting at the bottom on my mi 11. I tried just cleaning the bottom edge a bit and putting a bit of the double sided tape there but that didn’t hold.
Then I tried removing the whole back and replacing it after I had cleaned everything and put b7010 tape all around the edges but it still lifted a bit after I removed the clamps I held it in place with for 24 hours.
I have ordered some t7000 glue to try along with the tape but because the rear is slightly curved it’s difficult to hold in place without putting undue pressure on the wrong places.
Maybe if I could think of a way to just hold the edges but not press down on the middle it might work a bit better?

Sir how do I know if my back is changed or not in my S20+? I bought it second hand.
If it doesn't have the IMEI printed on the back (that matches when you check it on your phone), and the only thing on there is the SAMSUNG logo, then it's probably changed
Can we use e6000 for glue
So, you keep the tape that comes with the replacement glass and on top of that also apply glue right? Also B-7000 is good enough right?

Would it be possible to glue it back on a way for it to still be water resistant
We cannot guarantee water resistant:(
Yes there are seals on ebay... nobody can guarantee water resistance but if they put on the proper seals there is only a very small chance that water could get in.

Was it on purpose that you didn't mention what the "special solvent" was, or did I miss it? Also, are you sure you heated the phone 5 minutes to 90°C. which is near water boiling point!???? Surely that should be Fahrenheit???

Me attempts to find permanent solution to my back cracked glass....promptly after finding out you need heat gun and etc tools...amzon search cute case that just hides my back cracked screen. Success! 😬
I've done this twice and never used a heat gun
I have a Note 20 Ultra, and the back glass has been cracked for a long time now. Anyway, this evening I stopped at a local repair shop. He said something like $50, but that he didn't have any white covers, like mine is. He showed me three he did have. Upon inspecting them, I noticed that 2 were plastic and were not even glossy plastic. The black one was glossy, but still felt plasticy. Also, none of them had SAMSUNG written on them.
He said that actually was glass. He said he could order me a white one. I said I'll leave.
So, how does one go about ordering a back glass that is actually glass? Can anyone order an OEM part?

I was just looking into it. Some places are like $200! I just bought the a Back Glass cover with the camera part already in it & the B700 glue off Amazon. I'm gonna attempt if myself. I feel pretty comfortable doing it. Doesn't look to complicated just gotta remember to get that camera audio chip off & on to the new back

I had to sell my Galaxy S10+ to pay to put my cat down on Oct. 19th. I only had him 5 months. I'm still a wreck, and using a Nokia that cost me $50.
I was using the nokia for about 2 weeks. It started having major issues... so I sold it for $40 so a 'frienemy' and am now using an LG K41... slow phone, only good for text/voice and lite surfing.
it’s alcohol nothing special about that, and you are complicating with this fix like it’s a tough fix but it really isn’t… and you are heating a screen instead of back glass…
