- Beth Reich, the ex-wife of the Dulos’ real estate agent, took the witness stand Wednesday afternoon in the missing mom murder trial. She recalls being at the Dulos’ house for dinner the night before Jennifer was last seen, and explains the evening as being normal and happy. Reich recounts a toast they made for a ‘positive resolution’ between Jennifer and her then husband, Fotis, after a long custody battle. Fotis’ ex-lover, Michelle Troconis, is now on trial for her alleged involvement with the disappearance.

Fotis was excited to have found the solution to the custody battle, murdering Jennifer the next day. That’s what this witness was unwittingly toasting to.
I think that's exactly why they were happy...she had threatened to leave him, and he changed her mind by telling her he would "get rid of Jennifer" in the words of Caesar
"the die is cast" ..the decision was made!
@@bernimacI haven’t been able to follow this trial as closely as I would’ve liked and I didn’t know there was any threat by M to leave Fotis. Wow! That says a lot and makes me more convinced that it all was very calculated. Thanks for that info.

I don't understand the point of all these "dinner party witnesses". FD and MT were happy, sure. But they were happy because they knew JD would be out of the way soon, and they used the supposed positive outcome of the custody proceedings to make it look like they had no motive. Very calculated.

They spoke that there would be an end to this. And the next morning there was. No wonder Fotis was toasting. And who leaves a dinner party twice? That is extremely odd.

She was horrible to Fotis and in fact he was the better parent. Not all victims are angels. She didn't deserve to die. But Michelle DID NOT KNOW
The fact that this witness and her husband remained loyal to their fondness and friendship towards Jennifer while Fotis attempted to sway their opinions of her speaks volumes. They didn’t have to tell Fotis they weren’t taking his side, he knew where he stood with them. Also, the alarm in the background is annoying! 🙃

I can’t listen to this defence attorney speak anymore. He reminds of Amber Heard’s female lawyer. Even the way he stresses certain words. The intonation is exactly the same. Very very irritating. I’ll be back with the state speaks.

I agree that he is a little over his head. I don't think he is as experienced against the prosecution. I see this a lot when the defense does not have the support behind him and he may be doing it for less money then a more experienced attorney. That is really sad because sometimes the defense doesn't have a chance. This is one of the problems with our legal system.
What kind of meat was grilled, how was it cooked, and what herbs were involved? How did we not dig in to that?

@@jenniferruth812 it was from yesterday. Yes. I’m not going to be watching any more trials after this one bc it’s too time consuming but this one, I learned a lot about legal issues. And also the complexity of how he accomplished the RedRum, I lean towards puzzles so this one is definitely puzzling.
Ooooooooo!!!!! Beth's testimony about hindsight. Seems it was OVERLY positive the night before. Just as I suspected, of course, they would be so optimistic...Jennifer was going to disappear the next morning. Also, why was fotis going off out for "meat"? In the direction of Mountain spring rd the night before Jennifers disappearance Didn't michelle go shopping for meat the very next day??? , but if fotis forgot the guests were coming why would he need to go get extra meat 🤔 Allegedly..
I also wonder why no one mentioned Fotis close cropped haircut that night. A haircut, that might not leave telling DNA behind. Fotis grew his hair out afterwards. Yeh, I agree with you that this dinner was for a criminal purpose.
@irenetsomidis2167 MT said an awful lot that wasn't true, though, didn't she, hence 3 interviews. Having a hearing for contempt of court soon isn't she as she's less than truthful. It's interesting how she remembers little insignificant details such as the meat was frozen, which is why fotis had to go out but doesn't remember bigger details.
I guess trying to plan the perfect murder wasn’t as easy as they thought it would be. So many little details.
All except Dulous was driving away from his home with someone following him. Michelle was flustered at their arrival as evidenced by their guests hearing her talking to herself out loud.

there's a hole here. if this witness overheard MT "talking to herself" as they approached the house for the dinner party, how did she decipher that MT was not talking to someone on her cellphone or someone else in the house unknown or HIDING? the witness speaks spanish, too? and if so, then, what exactly was MT saying? she can't have it both ways. she can't say she couldn't see MT AND know MT was talking to herself. to decipher, the witness either understood spanish and knows what MT was saying but not sharing it, or the witness is guessing MT was talking to herself, which is just a guess and may not be fact. there may have been an unknown person staying at that house overnight for early morning business, ESPECIALLY if food was missing!
