Hardtails are the best bike in so many ways. The Roscoe 9 is best bike I've owned, ever. Cheers for the wholesome entertainment and chill vibes Matty. Hope you and your family have a great Christmas break.
So many cool bikes to choose from, I wouldn't know what to run! If I had to keep three I'd keep one hardtail, one full suspension and one gravel bike. But really you don't have to choose, so you get to keep them all so merry Christmas to you! Actually, you've earned those bikes, without all your hard work developing this channel those companies would never have sent you anything. You can always buy more hooks for the rafters in your garage!
The great thing is, you have a bike for any occasion with that collection. You should take the Roscoe out to Virginia Canyon one last time before the seasonal closure that starts in Jan 1st (VA Canyon is closed from 1/1-3/31 for wildlife) Drop shaft has been running great. You should try definitely shake up the content for 2025 too, like maybe sign up for an XC race with that Superior XC hardtail that you have, or race an enduro on the Roscoe, a bikepacking trip definitely sounds great too.
I have the Mongoose Argus! Upgraded a few bits on mine. 1x9 Advent X w/clutch PNW handlebars & stem Shimano MT 200 hydraulic brakes Love it for the snow!
Of your bikes, I'd choose the same and I have to say I did call the SE Bikes Fast Ripper. You have a very capable trail hardtail, a do it all ride, and of course a bike that eschews practicality in favor of fun. Nice rundown.
Matt, solid choices my boy. Your channel is the reason that I bought my Roscoe 9. I have roughly three grand in upgrades on it because it does everything I need and I just can't warrant buying a full suspension at the moment.
Ever try a fixie? I think you might like the vibe of a nice steel fixed gear bike around town. It tends to become very addictive, and will level up your fitness as a bonus.
You need a street BMX, I recommend everyone to get a street BMX, ride some street, park, even some light trails. That type of riding and being on such a smaller bike (make sure you have big bars, 9.5 or 10 if your an adult) will really improve your skills on all your other bikes. Street BMX bikes are also nearly indestructable, easily the toughest bikes ever, I ride a BSD with the highest quality aftermarket components. I came over to mountainbiking after 30 years of BMX street and park riding, and love MTB now too, going from a GT aggressor (super light duty commuter trail/path bike) to a Devinci Kobain hardtail (think Trek Roscoe) I recently got a Trek slash for steep chattery black trails which I have a ton of on Vancouver Island, and I have a Specialized P3 for the dirt jumps and airbag place I'm so lucky we have nearby too. Ride all the bikes, but seriously look at adding a proper 20 inch street/skatepark BMX bike in the mix, that type of riding can give you some skills you didnt know existed that transfer to all your other bikes.
Your final choices make sense to me. Keep up the good work! Your music is always dope. Tan grips, or better yet, pick up some black ODI Rogues and never look back. 🤘😃 super comfortable grips.
I enjoyed getting to see your fleet of bikes and what you enjoyed about them. Seems like you have a very similar style to my twin brother. He has no interest in a full sus and loves bikes from both Surly and Kona. I just have three bikes so that would make it easy for me which three I would keep.
Thank you so much for this amazing video! I have a quick question: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). How should I go about transferring them to Binance?
Ha. I am down to my 24” cruiser for racing, my super six evo, and a giant revolt. Still considering getting rid of the revolt. Dirt jumper, gone tarmac, gone SJ evo gone. I enjoy BMX racing and time on the road bike. Trying to focus on what I enjoy.
Great video as always, quality content from you brother. I noticed your Marlin 6 wasnt in this video, did you get rid off it ? Also, do you plan on learning any wheelie tricks?
about full power ebikes I've got one recently and you need to live close to somewhere you can actually use them or they don't make sense, living somewhat close to mountains there's not one ride I did on it that's below 3000ft elevation (that's a single uphill not cumulated elevation) and that's like nothing done in terms of effort I reached the same place on muscles several times but had to take winding roads, on the ebike I did those 3k feet on 20-30% pedestrian hiking trails also...snow that's what emtbs are for if you can't do that or much more regularly don't buy one, on flatter terrain they are frustrating, I bought mine to do 6000ft rides in the mountains something I actually did once on muscle but was so tired I could not enjoy the views nor fun trails because I was too tired and I'm not there for the chronometer or the achievement I'm there to explore and have fun
Wouldn’t necessarily say a screaming deal, I got one with about 4 miles on it for 700 cash everything included. 1100 is about in par with what they’re going for around my area
Hey hey hey Matty, 😂 you rock this stuff. Thank for sharing. I would pick my xtc as my go too bike. It goes every in Our America's... Western Canada Don

Hoping one day I can get one.....soon? maybe
@@FatDiabeticGuyonABike Roscoe 9 might be hard to find. I bought Orbea Laufey and I'm loving it so far.
The guy you need to contact about bike packing is Ryan Van Duzer in Boulder. You can see his U Tube channel for lots of good inspiration.
A Matty-Duzer team up video needs to happen!
Good choices, please more video of Breezer Radar x Pro

Thank you for being here so long! I really appreciate it. You are one of the main people who keeps me motivated to keep going

I remember when you were learning to wheelie. I was rooting for ya 🎉. Hope to see a bike packing vid in the future. Merry Christmas Matty.
I have over 600 miles on my Ozark Trail G1 Explorer! I converted it to a flat bar, and I ride it as a commuter.
I'm thinking of down sizing to 3 bikes too. I got a 29er full sus with a Jones bar. Running fast 2.2 tires and it so so fun!
I have the Mongoose Argus!

You should try out the Jones LWB rigid bike. I’ve heard great things about it.
What an awsome video. You're becoming an ambassador for cycling and it's great to see.

Ok bro. You picked the BMX to stay, we can be friends. 😂. Good videos, keep it up!
I'm down for some bikepacking!! Pueblo isn't too far from you
just got my GT Dj went with brown grips and pedals, looks so clean
Those peanut 🥜 butter colored vans grips look really good with gum wall tires😊
Great video. I'll go bikepacking with you.
Happy Christmas bud

What do you think of the Breezer rigid mtb vs your gravel bike? Is it a similar experience?

We need a breezer radar x pro with udh!

@Matty Active
Thoughts on a brand new roscoe 7 for $1100? Good deal?
Wouldn’t necessarily say a screaming deal, I got one with about 4 miles on it for 700 cash everything included. 1100 is about in par with what they’re going for around my area
I’d love to learn how to wheelie I guess I just don’t practice enough.
Rail 5 ebike here with larger 38 tooth chain ring to reduce cadence. I'm 65 years old and need all help I can get.
he he! I was 3 out of 3!! 😊
Hell yeah!
Hey hey hey Matty, 😂 you rock this stuff. Thank for sharing. I would pick my xtc as my go too bike. It goes every in Our America's... Western Canada Don
Do the wheelie vid.
but according to the n+1 rule those 3 should be 4 😀
The superior is a race bike you must of not had that bike yet when you did that race
Dude, you really are hoarding bikes 🤣😜
Dump the gravel
Why?
