Druid was so far above every other support until the alac changes(the only negative is that everything lined up rather perfectly with alac previously), still outperforms most when you are good with placement etc....but as he said as well, Scrapper is in a really great spot right now and using Karakosa you can actually maintain about 5-7k hp/s healing. Even Tempest isn't in a bad spot with Elemental Bastion, since they also lost alac but at least now most of the support are a lot closer than they have ever been.
Hey Metallone, love the vids, You forgot to mention that skill 2 in avatar is insta cast, so it can be cast WHILE channeling 3 (or 4), if you do this then skill 2 will steal the benefit from quick draw and it already has a super low cd so its a waste. I always wait till the skill I want to use (3 imo) has finished and the quick draw disappears before hitting anything else just to be sure. :)
I just don't see how this build can outheal the current mace/warhorn build. Drop healing spring, blast with frost spirit, blast it again with horn 5, then blast it again with mace 3 and staff 3, then switch to celestial avatar and blast it again with skill 3. If done correctly, that combo can outheal any other class (at least in my experience). Also, I think Glyph of the Stars is still the preferred choice for elite skill. It's one of the most powerful cleanse skill in the game and cooldown is 1/2 vs. Spirit of Nature. Reviving people is Scourge's and Warrior's job. I think Druid's main job is cleanse and heal. Interesting build though!
@@whocaresjustdoit i guess you run karakosa? I just run dwayna because your regeneration will be the best one and take over other regen, but karakosa/monk are very strong too. Warhorn is good but i never liked it too much, off hand mace is more cc, more skill reset and healing modifier Glyph of star is strong af indeed, Spirit is more situational , especially good in though fights, and if you coordinate with scourge transfusion it can really turn the fight.
@@metallonegw2283yeah I still run Karakosa! Warhorn 5 is such a great skill since it’s a 5 in 1 skill: regen, daze, blast, boons, weakness. I think MKS is the preferred choice lately but I can still outheal any scrapper/vindicator in the squad with the karakosa build. I think the problem with the current meta is the conditions drain your health so fast in zerg fights, you need massive burst healing to get health back up. I’ll try your build in a smaller zerg fight to see how this works!
Stupid question, but I'm not able to equip mace on my ranger. How do I do that? It even shows up as a usable weapon skills, but it's description is red and I can't drag it into the weapon slots. ???
So it might be a noob question but I'm starting to run wvw with my guild and sometimes we get bodied in the first few moments of a fight. I was wondering if you have a sort of set up just before the clash with the Druid or do you try to be super fast with reaction to ongoing problems as they crop up?
@@CrowleysCornerSpiral if your group gets deleted very fast, there are some possibile options : Enemies are bigger (like at least 10 more people) Wrong squad composition(lack of barriers, lack of stability so you can't dodge safely) Skill issue(wrong timing in skills, not casting skills and so on) Imo, just try to cast barriers before the fight starts, like the second before you dodge into the enemies(scourge skill 6 and f3, scrapper f5 and bulwark gyro, spellbreaker warhorn 5 and banner of defense) then be sure that everyone has stability, and if it happens that it gets stripped, make sure to reapply it and stunbreak the stunned allies. The same goes for resistance: chill ,cripple and immobilize can really destroy your ability to move around freely, having pulsing resistance is crucial (banner of tactics from spellbreaker, for example). The same applies for protection, which is 33% damage reduction (a 20k burst becomes like 13 -> you don't get oneshot -> you heal back to full hp -> you win the fight)
Thanks for the replies! yeah ran today with the group and you could see like half a squad being a little sedentary compared to tag and the other half of the squad. honestly, the groups we are fighting since the last relink have mostly bigger numbers than us so that's always making it harder.
Interesting for me since i'm really not familiar with healing / support class and am trying to get a grasp of it ! Thanks it's helpful really !
Also check out scrapper, it's one of the best atm

I started wvw and I enjoy playing as a support. Will definitely try this out!!
Thank you for this. This helped a lot!

Do you run any scourge/spellbreaker? Barrier is crucial to mitigate any burst which is hard to heal because it happens so fast
