Great vid! I maintain a 1995 SL600 . Always something to do on these old cars. Check all your engine wiring harnesses. Had to have new ones made. Check your cars date of manufacture and the years they use biodegradable wire insulation. Also i take car of a 1990 Jeep grand wagoneer. You will love the fuel injection conversion. I installed the Howell system and it runs like a dream. Have a good one!
I also have a 1994 SL600. ASR SRS lights on :(. I changed a lot of parts and engine wire harness sounds like I "should" according to posts I've read. However.........center, top of engine ,F to back look perfectly fine. As well, cut the protective layer about 12" in from end of Throttle bodies, also look perfectly fine. So, not sure if, do it any way?
Hello Rich I heard through the grapevine somewhere that apparently a Ford 93,94 Mustang cobra throttlebody is a perfect fit to the Mercedes M120 engine just in case the ETAs have failed. I was thinking of doing that to my ‘95 s600. This whole thing can bring anyone to their wits end, I know I am!
Wow that's great info! I may have to test it out as I suspect I'm going to have the trifecta of common issues with this car. Top wiring harness mass air flow sensors and throttle bodies. Thanks for watching!
Mr. Cassidy, Will you tell me where to purchase the Star Diagnostics software? I also have a Mercedes Benz and would benefit greatly from having the Mercedes Benz diagnostics software for my personal use. Thanks
Hey there Flynt thanks for watching! I got mine off of the Alibaba website. You know, the Chinese amazon. Just be really careful. So much stuff on there is bogus and sketchy.
@@cassidycarcave2781 Thank you for answering my question! Are you still making UA-cam videos? The newest video I could find was made one year ago according to UA-cam. I would enjoy seeing new videos made by you. 🙂
@@flyntmyrick6291 hey Flynt thank you so much for asking! I've had to move Caves a couple times but I am expecting to start making some videos again soon. I'm in a new location just getting things organized. Definitely want to do an update video on the Bentley and the S600!
You got that right Max! I ended doing quite a bit to that car to get her road worthy. All three wiring harnesses, Throttle Body, ADS repairs, bushings and multiple sensors. Once I finished all of that she ran great. I drove it last summer then sold it to my brother who is loving it today - it is his wife's dream car! All in all a good project. Easier to work on than the newer V12TT because it has more space, but more difficult to diagnose due to the older on board diagnostics. Worth saving though she rides awesome and has old school analog power:-) Thanks for watching and commenting - new videos coming soon!!!
@@cassidycarcave2781 wow that’s a longgg list 😅 I’ll be expecting something similar if not longer! But I will have the V12 running again 🤞 If I remember I’ll update with what’s wrong when I get some time off work to have a serious inspection.
Please can you say where can I order the fuses from? I'm dealing with my sl 500 roof not working at all. And this is my first experience with a mercedes, also if anybody knows how to fix the cluster , my one is not working, only temperature , clock and illuminate gages (battery, abs, check engine etc.) Works, but no speedometer, tachometer, fuel, odometer or fuel efficiency gages. Please any info will be appreciated Thank you
I admire your confidence and your ability not to get dismayed by such complexities.

Good luck Rich 👍🏻
I need it! I was pretty down on this car when the roof/windows were inop!! Feeling a little better after finding the corroded fuses...
@@cassidycarcave2781 Your patience will pay off. I am glad you figured out.
