I've change my upload day to a Sunday. I hope this works for you all. Wishing you all the very best with your investments and enjoy the remainder of the weekend :)
Love the ETF reviews. IITU is one of holdings, it's been a great return this past year, I'm a little nervous about the correction in the tech sector but I don't think it'll happen for some time yet. Hope you don't mind this feedback, but you could do with some soft furnishings in the room to trap some of the reverberations in the audio.
Thank you so much!! I’m so pleased IITU is performing so well for you. Thank you so much for the feedback on the sound too. It’s definitely something I’m no expert on so I need to work on it. I did wonder about getting some sound proofing foam or perhaps more soft furnishings will do the job? Thank you again and have a great 2025!
Hi Rachel, first time viewer and enjoying your content. I’m invested in LGGG which tracks very well against FWRG at just 0.10% fees; plus a smaller allocation into V3AB which is a global ETF that adds a bit of exposure across emerging markets and small cap. Planning to open a SIPP very soon and will most likely go with FWRG as a single fund holding.
Good content, agree with yoirbstrtegy. Nice to see a video in the new year not focusing on the doom and gloom expected as with so many other YT channels! What I have learned in my small time in this space is that no one really know what will happen 👍🏻 Oh and a second thing... stay away from financial planners!
Thank you so much for your really kind comment. It’s much appreciated. I look forward to seeing what 2025 brings and I wish you all the best with your investments.
Hi Rachel. Apart from other Funds and ETF’s such at VHVG and single shares which I invested in at the right time (Tesla, Nvidia , Palantir and now Joby) I also have VWRP, IITU, SWDA VWRP and VUAG. Why have you selected VUSA which is a distributing ETF instead of VUAG which is accumulating? I obviously know the difference. But can’t work out if one reinvests the dividends of VUSA back into the ETF do you get exactly the same result as VUAG? I’ve compared the two ETF’s using Morningstar and they are exactly the same except that VUAG is slightly more expensive - maybe this is because the dividends are fed back into the fund. With IITU this has a bronze shield rating with Morningstar. There is a very similar I shares fund IUIT apart from the performance. What is the difference between these two? Thanks for your efforts and regards from Owen
It just depends on your investment. Are you buying into a pension or savings ISA. If you buy the fund in a SIPP, then you want to go accumulating first, and then change to distributing/income near retirement. If you buy via Stocks and Shares ISA, then you want the distributing version for liquidity, as the ISA is just a savings plan that you can invest into stocks and shares. You can decide what to do with the dividends - either to reinvest back into the fund, buy other and different fund/stocks, hold as cash, or withdraw the money to use. If you don’t need the liquidity then buy the accumulating, but you would have to sell part of the fund later, to release cash if you need it. Another point to make , it also depends on your countries tax liability, some European countries don’t pay tax on Acc, but pay higher tax on dividends so it makes sense for them to get Acc funds. The UK however, charges income tax on Acc and Dist funds, if you are not in a SIPP or ISA. So it matters more that you have to monitor the acc fund each year, and add the reinvestment amount to your other income taxes, with dividends it easier to monitor and see it.
interesting informative vid thank you, i like the graph of 1 and 5 yr gains. next 5 year is usa inc sm cap, tech and cyber for me with invest engine. thanks again.
Thank for the video, very useful to everyone already or starting investing 👍 Just kind of like a suggestion: Despite your undeniable beauty, you could be a little far from the camera. Maybe the framing would be even better 😉 And please, keep up the work. Is much appreciated.
Thank you so much for your kind comment. Do you think I need to be further away from the camera? I definitely need to work on the lighting/framing and sound. Have a great day.
Yes a little bit further. Try different approaches of distance, lighting/framing, and color temperature. Keep up the good work. It's enlightening to receive information from a notorious growth mindset person.
Good Video Rachel. It has to be the USA for the next 5 years and it has to be Tech and it has to be ETFs. Why would anyone go for a managed alternative when they cannot perform as well? SJP for example?
Hi Rachel. Really enjoying the content of your videos. I am new to investing and I was wondering if you could advise me on which trading platform to use for ETF's in the UK?. Thank you. Franck
Thank you so much for watching. I personally use a couple of platforms. I’ve used Barclays Smart Investor for a long time and more recently have used Trading 212 as well. There’s a link in the video description for Trading 212 where you get a free share. I also use AJ Bell for my SIPP. Obviously these are just the platforms that I use and they may not be right for you. Take a look at the fees as over the long term they can have a big impact on your pot of money. Wishing you all the very best with your investments.
Thank you so much for watching and for your comment. FWRG provides diversity at a low cost and I personally like the ESG screening on S5SD. Wishing you all the best with your investments.
Thank you so much, it’s much appreciated! Most investment platforms will provide the SD but I personally like the Fidelity site 👍 Wishing you all the best with your investments in 2025 Steve.
Thanks for the video Rachel! What would you recommend for someone with a lump sum wishing to invest in 2025? I purchased a standard S&P500 ETF last year, however I am reluctant to do so again in case there is a correction and I lose a significant amount in the process. Best of luck with your channel!
Thank you so much for watching and for your comment too. I don’t actually have a video on lump sum investing vs dollar cost averaging but when I had a similar predicament I found this video from James Shack useful: ua-cam.com/video/lMYflVzok30/v-deo.htmlsi=Y-i_nb7Wb1CZKoD- His videos are great. Hi Rachel like FWRG as a portfolio backbone though i would choose satellite positions to bring down the US exposure as their recent election has introduced a level of irrational behaviour that i am not entirely comfortable with.

@creatingbalancefinance UBOD, UGRW, EXCS, XDEQ as I like to be a bit more geographically diverse and am seeing how I feel about the quality factor also IEFQ for Europe but that's not exactly pulling up trees currently, your choices do appear to be chasing performance and are less defensive than I might lean towards.
