mac is much deeper than people expect looking at him from the outside. Really miss this guy and he is a good rep of his generation. He did a lot of drugs and stuff, but he was pure and authentic and himself, and evolving as a human and artisticaly. Gonna miss his free spirit, and try to be a free spirit myself going foward.
I actually got sober at the same time as him, and when he was dropping depressing music sense that's the way he was feeling, i actually ride that wave with him.. and now I'm doing so great I only smoke cigs ! Fan for life!

It never even crossed my mind that mac would ever od probably due to my own ignorance but after watching all these interviews it’s clear he was always troubled he was just always able to keep a smile. At the end of his life it was the most unexpected time for him to have overdosed because he put on the facade that he was totally sober and was able to fool the public but his music speaks volumes and being an addict isn’t as simple as doing it for years and putting it down without a long long struggle
All his songs telling something...simply all ..not even a one song is for jus sake of rapping or singing or for entertainment it holds much deeper all

Faces was a tight album. I can honestly say I enjoyed all of his albums and I love that they're all different. Someday I think it would be cool for him to try some of that olschool shit again. A lot of people say hes improved so much which is true but I still think he was tight back when he was rapping in a parking lot with his homies or his basement. The kids mad talented..

Mac is much more clear in this interview compared to the HOT 97 a year before, just showed how quickly he came out of that dark shitty phase and bounced back harder than anyone could imagine.
