Andrew Garfield should have been nominated for a Supporting Oscar. He and Jesse gave AMAZING performances.
I knew he didn't win, but to hear he wasn't even nominated is a tragedy. This scene alone proves that
He shouldn't have been nominated. He should've won.
My favourite part about this scene is the heavy breathing you can hear from Andrew as he is rushing in. You cab sense the rage in him!
I love how he says "all of us wish we were that articulate, that erudite, that funny, that slicing...": the sign of great dialogue.
So beautiful he mentioned his acting coach. Soooo humbling
Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross made the impact of the film so much stronger, perfect pairing with Fincher.
100%. Till this day I still jam to their score
Yeah they have an icy intensity that matches fincher’s sensibility really well
@@user-mf6dm8rt7w So true. The music managed to make this movie feel like a Thriller. No small feat!
They do the music on a bunch of his films
@@JTD472 true, I really like girl with dragon tattoo score
Its great how instead of talking about himself, he spent few minutes talking about his acting coach and how she helped him deliver that performance.
Andrew Garfield is such an articulate person, and can explain/breakdown acting ins such a way that is fantastic to listen too, a true actor
You can tell he kind of thinks it was the crew that created that moment and he was just in it. But it really is his delivery AS WELL AS all that. Great actor, great crew
No he just one if those actors that don’t want to praise themselves
That scene was jaw-dropping, so iconic. That's when I knew this movie was on a whole other level of great.
“You better hire security ass hole, because I’m not coming back for thirty percent I’m coming back as Spider Man”
Lmao! I love it!
Jesse: “and I’ll be waiting for you, as Lex Luthor.”
“At some point, I stopped pulling my punches.”
@@Drifter1989 lol. I love that it
@@8bitdee he got enough money to hire the sinister 6.
Josh said it best, that Social Network is the most re-watchable movie. I don't actively look for it but when I do see it while browsing other things, I take time to watch it.
"I'm not coming back for 30% I'm coming back as spider-man"
Andrew is right about the score. The Social network is one of my favorite movies and it wouldn't be half as good without that amazing score.
Salivating at Trent & Atticus’s score in this movie. Pure perfection!
That scene made a great movie even greater.
The way they cheered when the scene started!
You can break that scene down and literally everything about it is perfection. From the score, to the camera angles, the acting, the script, the way they cut to the lawyer asking the questions. It was well paced and as a viewer you can really feel the rage, the betrayal, the realization that a friendship and partnership is over and probably had been over for a long time. Really great job from everyone involved.
I'm glad he said "one of the most rewatchable films" because I thought I was alone there. I watch this film at least 4/5 times a year.
They cut out before the best part!
It makes me look so tough.
dead❤
Was just thinking exactly that.
That scene (and most of what Fincher directs) is such a masterclass of every part of the set being superstars. Actors, crew, director, camera, sound, background- everyone absolutely nailing it. That's when real magic happens. All-time cinematic moment
the ending of this scene is brutal. when he told Parker he likes standing next to him. “Makes me look so tough.” Garfield is a class of his own.
How The Social Network didn’t win Best Picture at the Oscars will never make any sense to me.
Iconic, even today. ❤
I’m a performer and the idea of a whole crowd watching me react to me watching a performance I did 15 years ago is absolute nightmare fuel 😂
Most actors do have the luxury of being somewhat removed as they perform other people’s work.
Congrats superstar
Andrew should have been nominated for best supporting actor. This is the best performance of his career. Legendary movie. Also goes without mention that Fincher should have won the directing award too, along with Best Picture tbh.
The Social Network really is a flawless movie. Perfection
Tremendous bit of acting but he was right to share credit with his acting coach, the script, score and, most especially, Fincher, who shot many takes, allowing Garfield to go deeper and deeper each time, not to mention choosing the optimum angles and editing the sequence to the best strengths of the scene. As Jeff Daniels said: 'If they film you at the just the right angle and put the right score under you, you'll look like a fxxking genius'.
you can tell that he (metaphorically) appreciates this particular sausage but hates everytyhing about this particular sausage making process
Andrew should have been nominated for an Oscar for Social Network
Pretty amazing how rewatch able this film is. Last year around this time I was recovering from a spinal fusion and I swear for the first month of best stuck at home I had this movie on repeat.
The cello in the soundtrack is perfection.
Teams. End of story. *EVERY* single moment you magically "believe" something has happened all because of one person, you're wrong. Garfield made certain to clarify it, which is noble and astute.
one of my favourite movies for the longest time ..this is the movie that actually got me into reading for pleasure; on a rewatch i saw that it was based on the book 'The Accidental Billionaires'
so i read it in college, incredible read that got me to seek out another book
The score for this movie was incredible - I put it on sometimes just to hear the dialogue and that in the background. I’m curious what he had to channel to act out this scene, where did he pull those emotions from…I’m sure too personal, but what a great film!
One of the best and iconic scenes in Hollywood...
The score was 🤌🏼
Angels in America will ALWAYS be my favorite Andrew Garfield performance... TONY AWARD WINNER
I love Andrew, such a amazing actor
I dont know about the acting coach but i loved him since I saw "Boy A".
Andrew Garfield is such an incredible actor .
Bro hasn’t aged since 2010
i was hoping someone would mention it
aging comes in bursts. it's not a linear progression. scientists have found out that the bursts of aging happens usually at two junctions. around 40 something and around 60 something. so one day within the next ten years, he will age and catch up.
@@spextrekid9410 don't be jealous
@@srinivasavaradhan4231How is he/she jealous?
@@jesseowenvillamor6348 it's just the impression I got
I like hearing Andrew swear
The very scene when I said, "Fuck he's a good actor."
It was definitely an Oscar winning performance
love this film
Is it okay that I'm blushing during these scene? 😊😅
Sure, why not 😆
I always wondered about the Arm and Hammer t-shirt that Jesse Eisenberg was wearing. Perhaps an inside joke referring to Armie Hammer who portrayed the Winklevoss twins?
The Social Network should have won Best Picture
Incredible dude.
Audience: WOOO!!!
"Along with my hoodie and my fuck you flip flops" do those really exist? Because I want them.
Andrew should’ve gotten an Oscar-nomination for that role. He was way better than Jesse Eisenberg, whom DID get a nomination 🙄
I wonder if he knows this performance has been called “Bully Garfield” AKA his equivalent of the Bully Maguire meme.
Re-watched that so many times!
Good looking kid. Good head of hair.
Yeah i needed this in 2024
Looks like I know what movie I'm watching AGAIN tonight!
Is this the new Inside the Actors Studio? Because I approve 🥰
Crazy thing is, even at 0.03% ownership, Eduardo would still be recognizing like 36 million a year of income, so he could take a lot of that as distributions and live well off of it.
But the extra $ wasn’t the issue for Eduardo, as depicted in this movie. It was that his friend & colleague Mark didn’t have the decency & respect to INFORM him to his face that he was (drastically) reducing Eduardo’s ownership share AND firing him from the company. Mark was a cowardly backstabber. And Sean Parker, as depicted in this film, was vicious.
Amazing Amazing Amazing
It is unfair how little this man has aged
He speaks well.
Generous is such a great word for that
how is he getting hotter with age 😭
My pradas at the Cleaners!!!!!
OMG! I am today years old realizing Garfield has a British accent.
what the hell how old are you
@getalife5650 2 things: 1-I don't give a damn about actors lives outside of film. They're entertainers and that's as far as that goes with me. 2nd, I'm 54.
Can we get an andrew garfield and jesse eisenberg reunion please
I’d love to see them do a Comedy.
I wonder what the real Eduardo thins of the story and andrew´s performance.
Why don’t you clip Andrew talking about Palestine?
Perfect movie. They need to make a sequel
Yes, it’s one of those rare Perfect films. Its sequel would need to match that level.
That's what they said about Joker, but....
@@user-mf6dm8rt7w Was JOKER considered a perfect film? 😃
No they don’t. Good film, but sequels cheapen the original, especially as an after thought.
No
I wonder what his method is
Andrew, please film something together with Jamie.
❤😂🎉😢😮😅
Is Josh Horowitz Jimmy Fallon now???
Not going to lie Josh's clear discomfort when Andrew talks about Palestine kind of sucks as a big fan of his. Different part of the interview but wanted to flag.
The great thing about free speech is that everyone is allowed their own views.
Well, it's new information that you may want to use to reassess your fandom
@@xzxzxccxzcw2028nope
I’m not certain that Andrew is condemning Israel’s actions or considers it the Bad Guy in the Conflict. He simply expressed sympathy for what the Palestinian citizens are experiencing.
Are we getting a Social Network sequel yet?
0.3 % of the net worth 134 billion of Facebook is still over 400 million. The numbers are insane!
Respectfully. It’s just weird how obsequious//servile//overwhelmingly reverent people are about films/actors/celebrities. This guy didn’t cure cancer. Like relax with the hyperbole. Chill dude. It’s just a fuckin movie. Honestly you critics/pundits/talking heads man. Y’all need to find some hobbies
Free Palestine
He was shown a clip with some of his most outstanding work from an iconic movie that people still to this day can’t get enough of and yet, he went onto credit the director and his acting coach for bringing that out in him. The way I absolutely adore and respect this man…❤️💯🫶
