I've loved your recommendations thus far. Obviously Lagavulin 16 is great and it broke me into whiskey hardcore, but I found your page looking for alternatives. Watched the video you did on cheaper alternatives and hardcore agree that Uigeadail is yummy. Got a Port Charlotte in my hands now, gonna head back home and give it a go. Appreciate your content and you're guiding me through this newfound love of whiskey ♥️
It’s a huge favourite! It’s $115 Canadian before taxes but that’s scotch now - at minimum! It’s well worth it! Try and find the Lagavulin Offerman 11 4th edition! They sound cheap in the U.S.! Interesting video! This is always a delicious dram.
Yeah... Port Charlotte 10 is my 'go-to' spirit for the nOOb seeking to entry Islay 'heavily peated' whiskies. For me, that 'campfire wood' peatiness (I understand it is St. Fergus peated barley from Aberdeenshire) is the attraction. I have Laphroaig 10 CS, Arbeg 10, Lagavulin 16, and Ledaig 10, and the PC 10 replaced Talisker Storm. The Storm prolly will not return. I'll drink PC 10, along with other peated, but I don't play with the TALLL kids. The creosote note is too strong.
@@whiskywhereabouts So I've heard. Those are the ones I don't drink, but for the PC10. I'm into the softer stuff, like Benromach, Meikle Toir, Lagg and Kilchoman.

Great to hear. You've got your hands on a good one. Enjoy!

That's a little more than we're going to pay here, but it's a solid value.
@@whiskywhereabouts Yup I agree Tim! This scotch is solid value! Have a terrific weekend! Cheers! 🙂
One of my favorites.
Tea leaves man absolutely, I always get them. Great review Tim, cheers!
Appreciate it!

That's a nice flight of peated whiskies. Cheers!

Grilled pineapples wrapped in bacon, smoked over a campfire next to the ocean.
