The whole issue I see when people talk about GER vs Goku is that GER’s ability is passive and it works automatically. No matter how fast Goku can be and no matter what Goku can do like destroy the planet, universe, multiverse and anything above that. If it has any intention to harm Giorno that his life is at stake it will be reset back to zero automatically without the influence of Giorno needing to do anything.

Everyone uses the “giorno has RTZ( return to zero )” argument but forgets that goku can blitz giorno before ger can even activate rtz. There is no evidence of ger reacting to a guy who is quadrillion times the speed of light with galaxy - multi galaxy levels of AP in DBZ. This is goku who doesn’t even have UI or super sayian god and goku travels in hell in BASE. There is no win con for giorno. Goku wins neg difficulty
Goku could not even transform into any of his form cause of return to zero. And lets keep in mind that GER has every ability of normal gold experience. So if Giorno lands a punch on Goku, his senses would go berserk. He would feel like he is even faster and stronger. Hit stops jiren in place but jiren using his power to walk while stuck in place. Goku stacks kaioken with SSJb to simply make contact with hit. Hit’s timeskip is basically hit entering a separate dimension which after the timeskip is over, it’s like hit wasn’t even there.
JJBA is a verse that is mainly carried by its hax. Just because ger can revert anything doesn’t mean it can revert anything it cannot see. Ger is NOT an exception to this. Yes giorno wasn’t aware of diavolo’s time erasure move but ger would have to register that an action has happened. The moment diavolo tried to end giorno’s life is the moment ger had to activate its ability. There is absolutely NO WAY Ger is using RTZ on a guy who is quadrillions of times faster than the speed of light. Goku is too powerful and too fast. Speed blitzing giorno is an option for this match and there is no way around it. Giorno lacks the AP and speed( 100% the speed ) to even beat goku. Please try better than that

I don't think you realize what a lack of time existing means. It just means time based abilities don't work. And another thing, Goku attacks once, "korega requiem da", Goku never made that attack and never will, repeat, single punch from GER, infinite death loop for Goku. I don't think you understand the definition of 'a lack of a common concept'. If Goku is incapable of making attacks, Goku can't attack, because even if Giorno is incapable of keeping track of Goku's movement, GER's reset to zero is automatic, meaning it doesn't matter if Goku is capable of speed-blitzing Giorno, GER won't allow it, meaning Goku can't touch Giorno, meaning at the very least, Giorno won't lose (not losing is not the same as winning).

• GER reversing the effects of anything is not just causality manipulation, it reverses ANYTHING. No matter who or what it is, if the opposition is set on harming Giorno/GER, their actions will be reversed.
• Goku transcending time (which he might not even be capable of willingly, he's just really fast) doesn't mean much if GER is capable of the same thing; when Diavolo erases time, he practically transcends into a separate dimension where time doesn't exist (possibly the fourth dimension), and GER is not only active in this dimension, he can preform his reversal in it.
• Applying the in-universe logic of both these characters, Goku is a dullard who only has intelligence in fighting-fighting styles, defense, offense, etc. And he would 100% not go all out upon seeing Giorno, even after the intent of battle is present. Giorno, like the majority of JoJo characters, is always calculating, pre-planning, and quick thinking in the heat of battle. No matter how strong Goku is, Giorno will either out-think Goku, or simply allow GER to reverse his efforts.
So no, Goku doesn't win against even the likes of Giorno, who's IQ and stand isn't even number 1 in terms of how powerful stands and smart their users can get.

Yeah Giorno with GE gets bodied, but GER is either a Tie, or Goku is destroyed. Goku has raw physical strength, which is powerful, but not powerful enough to match GER's space and time warping abilities, any punch bound for Giorno, would be reversed by GER.

Why do people mention Goku's being fast enough that GER won't activate? It'll an automatic stand, its ability is that no one will use their ability. It'll just activate its ability when it needs to. "None shall come close to me" literally said in the scene. Like come on.
Salad Saiyan has the best explanation of this fight and that it most likely being a stalemate or Goku winning because we dont know how hard GER hits, but these scalers on UA-cam and tiktok sound so nerdy when they make these anime debates that make me wince.

"Scaling" is not the only thing, analysing the lore of the verse, and understanding the story can help to better understand a character.
