Sold my 85 GM to upgrade my camera and had some money left so I bought this lens. I was blown away by how well this lens works. I don't miss my GM at all. Even if you're not on a budget, you should really look into this lens. Best bang for buck, hands down.
This is the comment right here I hate how every single review says it's good for the money, like it's good or its not good, mine will be here any day and I'm excited this comment is encouraging
Been using the same lens for some street photos on my Fuji camera and I absolutely love it! Only downside so far is that the focus ring seems to turn the other way then the default Fujinon ones. Great vid, keep it up!
I have been using this Viltrox 85mm f1.8 II with my Sony A6400 for a month or more. I tried it in different light and weather conditions, from still photography to sports photography. The image quality is really good. Now I just want to mention the problems I found, contrast is very low, purple and green fringing are quite noticeable. Otherwise everything is in the positive side, like, I never struggled with auto focus speed even in the track sports events. Background bokeh is mind-blowing.
Hey Curtis, great video very informative. Wouldn't mind a video using this lens on the A6400 if you have time? debating whether to get it myself for my a6400 :) thanks
Recently, it stoped working on my Sony A7 IV. Don't know what to do. Any thoughts? It is working on other cameras and my other lenses are working fine on A7 IV.
Just woke up a nap to see my photo in your video that’s crazy thank you so much for looking at it also a year ago when I started I was looking at how I’m suppose to grow on Instagram which I don’t care for anymore and it was like make a simple name I tried doggo army but it wasn’t available so I put a i instead. I shot it on a tamron 17-28 2.8 great lens
@@CurtisPadley oh for sure I need a new instagram name because I shoot for my school i shoot basketball may have seen it on my page, but I will definitely through another tag on one of them. Also did u go to school for photography or trade school not sure what it’s called over there but.

Thanks mate, I did play around with it with the A6400 and worked exceptionally well couldn't find any faults at all
Watching this Viltrox review. But I’m leaning towards TTArtisan’s smaller lens. Has anyone used the 75mm f2 and can tell me if it’s worth it?
Hello! Is the focus ring also extremely stiff for you
No not had any problem of that sort
Do you think that I would work well with the Sony a6400??
Definitely, I played around with on the A6400 and worked exceptionally well 👍🏻
But on the Sony a6400 is going to be around 100 mm right?
Yes about that but still works extremely well 🙏🏻
Is there any sample photos (specially Portraits) using A6400 with Viltrox 85mm mk2 ?
It will be very helpful to decide..

Seeing a few reviews lately saying there viltrox bricked they mentioned a firmware update …was tempted to get this or 75 Mobutu kind of put me off now
@@ivorwindybottom77 it just worked again after a firmware update, out of nowhere... but I sold it anyways... go figure...
