I basically live for these speed run postings!! I don’t really use UA-cam for much else - basically bide my time until another speed-run is posted - thank you Eric for the last cluster! My life feels complete!
The heck Eric! Another consecutive episode! I like your irregularity with posts, make me suprised :) And I love your stream with your patience and being, what I feel, compotured with your emotions and same time being free with them.
Wow, that was two games you won but might have lost. It just goes to show how difficult it is to play the perfect game especially under time pressure. Great two see you end game techniques though. Thanks Eric for this series, we all love it and most of us will have wathed every single game (at least once!).......
Hey Eric, long time sub on twitch and youtube! I'd love to see more London's as there are a bunch of tricky lines that are great to see (I regularly revisit your Andrea Botez lesson videos) and from the black side I'd really enjoy some Cambridge Springs openings against d4 or c4. For black, I'd also love to see some Schleiman games against the spanish or some fun aggressive lines against the Italian! Thanks for so much amazing content over the years!
Love these bro, learning a lot from these. I really like how fast you are getting these episodes out. Learning a ton from you sharing your thought process and how you review
Eric - I absolutely DON'T fall asleep. I pay full attention and learn, as it's relevant to my play. In that first positional game, it was especially interesting to hear your thought process. I hope the other guys are joking about dozing off! I suppose I'm in the minority, but I prefer normal chess with risks and gambits only where it's appropriate, to games which deliberately include gambits and sacs.
I love these speedruns and he is doing a lot of them right now. I would like to see new speedruns where you only use the same openings for all games. This would also help to understand what level you should not use this opening at.
Eric it’s beard season! Also thank you for the onslaught of videos. I blew my back out again on Sunday and need something to keep me preoccupied while I’m laid up.
When Eric's opponent started with the Saragossa, I thought maybe they were going to play the Elshad System from the white side. I would love to see Eric play around with the Elshad System.
50:03 that Endgame is wild and the trapped rook trick is amazing. Fantastic stuff - that's how rich chess is! Edit: I don't know if it makes sense to include these in a chessable or similar tactics course?
I don't have a problem with the slow approach of the first opponent. He/she probably knew they were outrated. I think those slow positional struggles, where you probe for weaknesses are interesting. Some of the comments have criticized opponent 1 but if you overreached, or were careless and left weaknesses in your position, I bet they'd capitalize, as evidenced by their 2200 rating. In this case, Eric's expertise told him to be patient.
51:30 Did you see this stalemate earlier and that's the reason why you didn't take it? Because I was thinking that was worth cleaning up to not be worried about the promotion threat.
Thanks for these. Game 1 was really instructive. I don't understand why people play like this with white, but I do struggle to figure out what to do about it, so I guess the answer is in the question
Glad you beat the first dude who had no ambition of winning and just played for a draw. Drives me mad watching someone play like that. Shuffling his queen in the middle game instead of trying anything.
Happy to see some French defense as a French defense player, but I dont think I have seen this Bishop white move that early . It just seems suboptimal for white ? I see a lot of Tarrasch, Advance and if they want to go into the Classical line, I normally like to go for the Rubinstein Variation (essentially another exchange like French) I dont know if you know the theory or played a lot with the indian defense, but I just tend to struggle a little bit with the anti-nimzo. Sure I can go Bogo-Indian or Queen Indian Defense, but I just want to add something to my repertoire against it
Yes, that Bd3 line is probably a bit dubious. I analyzed it briefly after the game and realized I should have included a quicker cxd4 where black should have a small edge. Regarding the anti-nimzo, I assume you're referring to the position after 1.d4 Nf6 2.c4 e6 3.Nf3. This used to cause me some headache as well. These days, I'm happy to play 3...d5 which usually leads into a QGD Barmen Variation, Cambridge Springs, or Catalan. This repertoire requires learning some additional lines, but I've found that there are so many opportunities for black to get active and exciting positions.
@@eric-rosen Thanks for the answer. Im not looking into Catalan lines that is for sure. But Im willing to look into some QGD lines. I have seen some Semi Tarrasch lines that interest me if they go 4. Nc3 I think my biggest issue is when they go 4.g3 Or sometimes they go 2.Nf3 3.g3 and it is another time that I struggle I just want different weapons I appreciate the time you took to answer Edit: I also have looked into the Ragozin Variation: 4...Bb4 which seems a lot of fun since it look it can lead to some tactics
Man... why would you play Chess enough to hit 2200 only to play like that first guy? I hate playing opponents who just do nothing all game, but seeing your patient handling of the position was really instructive! It's so easy to go too hard trying to "punish" them for their passive play and just end up over extending.
first opponent went for the c-h-a-d opening
Rosen’s speed run is what I go to sleep to.
Me too!
It’s what I 🤤 to
I don’t blame you. 😴
They are very soothing, but no way I’m falling asleep and missing out on the instructional games
@@gristlecassidy3406 that’s why i falll asleep to it and then immediately play it again when i wake up
Dude is absolutely cranking these out
That’s what Hikaru said.
I basically live for these speed run postings!! I don’t really use UA-cam for much else - basically bide my time until another speed-run is posted - thank you Eric for the last cluster! My life feels complete!
Not quite yet complete. He still has to reach 2400. *THEN* your life is complete.
THE EDUCATIONAL VALUE OF YOUR SERIES IS EXTRODINGARY
Narrating your thought processes really helps me understand tactics on a more in depth level. Thank you for this invaluable information.
woo so many episodes lately, love this series.
Daily speedruns are absolutely appreciated
+39:42 "clearly have the edge" .. that edge being the A-file.
The heck Eric! Another consecutive episode! I like your irregularity with posts, make me suprised :)
And I love your stream with your patience and being, what I feel, compotured with your emotions and same time being free with them.
This has been my favorite series!!!
Thank you for posting so much😇
"I still have a full cup of tea..." - fighting words from Eric Rosen :D
The slightly troll chad opening.

London is played out. More scotch!
And no one plays much of queen's gambit which is really sad

+100
I've been enjoying the increased frequency of speenrun episodes! Thank you!
No way! Just finished Episode 74 and here he is with Episode 75! Go Eric!
Last game is really awesome
More speedrun episodes love it
My favorite chess content on youtube
I love these speedruns and he is doing a lot of them right now. I would like to see new speedruns where you only use the same openings for all games. This would also help to understand what level you should not use this opening at.
Pretty sure the Scholar's Mate speedrun would be nasty, brutish, and short.
51:14 Eric is absolutely a stalemate expert 😂
Let's appreciate Eric looking strictly at the board all the time. So that Kramnik has nothing to worry about.
Thanks Eric , I really enjoy your speedrun episodes.
watching these endgames... Oh no my brain!. They are fascinating to watch, but way out of my league. Still loving the content. Thanks Eric
Eric you fixed my sleep schedule and I feel better mentally. Learning chess was a strange rabbit hole.
Eric it’s beard season!
Also thank you for the onslaught of videos. I blew my back out again on Sunday and need something to keep me preoccupied while I’m laid up.
Thanks a lot as always. Now I know how to win at this rating level, just need a lot to do before actually getting to this rating level tho.
These episodes happen to come out right before I would go to bed, I end up staying up every time
Thanks Eric for posting another one!
Eric we love you! Thanks so much for all the recent spoils
Enjoyed the chess games in your ads video 🙌🏻
I love your content!! Keep going ☺️
Made my day! Thanks Eric!
When Eric's opponent started with the Saragossa, I thought maybe they were going to play the Elshad System from the white side. I would love to see Eric play around with the Elshad System.
10:48 that's funny how both sides are waiting
Love this series 🎉
What a beauty, thank you Eric
U r spoiling us these last few days ❤
Really liked the first game!
Awesome. Thanks Eric
50:03 that Endgame is wild and the trapped rook trick is amazing. Fantastic stuff - that's how rich chess is!
Edit: I don't know if it makes sense to include these in a chessable or similar tactics course?
These games are getting spicy! 🌶🥵
IM LOVING THIS UPLOAD SCHEDULE LETS GOOOO
I eat this shit up. Been a good week
Awesome stuff!
"Trying to hypnotise my opponent with the rooks"... There is no better content
I must save this video for tonight. I must. I gotta. Surely.

You nearly got styled on in game 1, with that opening and close game 😵
Eric is speedrunning these last couple episodes
Speed run, my favorite
51:30 Did you see this stalemate earlier and that's the reason why you didn't take it? Because I was thinking that was worth cleaning up to not be worried about the promotion threat.
18:59 i get that youre low on time, but you gotta see 'knight still be a draw here'
Close calls and cool ideas in this one
Dramatic education on the levels of chess!
Thanks for these. Game 1 was really instructive. I don't understand why people play like this with white, but I do struggle to figure out what to do about it, so I guess the answer is in the question
I like to watch and play 3+0 blitz and pretend hearing Eric talk about poker makes me better through osmosis.
This man is unstoppable
Punish white!!! YES! I was wondering when you would say that with sucj an odd opening.
Thanks Eric!
These speedy speedrun episodes is ruining our habits.
16:45 Why not Kd5? If e4, Nxe4. If Nc3, maybe the king moves back but their knight no longer guards b4.
I think I was scared of Kd5 Nc3+ Kc6 e4, and black can't easily attack b4. At that point, it felt like a pretty difficult position.
First opponent ice-cold playing the CHAD opening.
wonderful content
When the queen was on D1 I think you missed knight takes E3 tactic. I may be wrong but I think it would have worked to at least win a pawn
Glad you beat the first dude who had no ambition of winning and just played for a draw. Drives me mad watching someone play like that. Shuffling his queen in the middle game instead of trying anything.
i mean, giving opponent chance to blunder can be nice strategy in some positions, and the more annoyed they get the more chance you get
Would love if you played an Alekhine or two
That end game was crazy, how did you do that
Pawn c4.. Very explosive move
30:18 There's only one way to beat them....
41.39
Why doesn't rb3 work? If r×a4 then r×e3+ and if r×b3 then rf5+?
you had me at endgames
He had me with speedrun

Quality time spent
I can't believe you won the first game. So little time
tough games
Those 4 rook endings...
Opponet played Saragossa so Eric won’t play a Rachmaninov Sicilian or whatever
Let’s gooo!!!!! New video
Oh no I'm getting used to it
Episode 75 of speedrunning falling aslee
21:33 I’m sure Joe Biden would
A waiting game
All rook endings are drawn.
BIg fan! Though I must say (sorry) I was a little humored by the 'garbage opening' comment--seemed to cause some problems for you. :)
I still have a full cup of tea = I have still a lot of energy 🙂
Can you play an Italian?
Man... why would you play Chess enough to hit 2200 only to play like that first guy? I hate playing opponents who just do nothing all game, but seeing your patient handling of the position was really instructive! Plot armor )
First game was hard to watch that guy troll Eric and Eric struggling
I would love to see a 960 speed run next!
a3 is not a “troll opening.” It’s a common way to prevent your knight from jumping in.
