    i've been following you for a while, and this series is your best work. Thank you for showing and walking us through your thought process when playing these games! you're not the first to do this beginner->master speedrun, but you're my favorite to watch.     I swear the most difficult part is just knowing all the names of all the openings, variations, traps and everything. Everything is refined to a point that every single correct move will result in another named move. It's so crazy.

      Yeah but most of us play at a level that it doesnt matter. Just learn an opening for white and black and you are good to go. These patterns and traps etc, come along naturally as you play and improve. Leave this stuff to the Higher rated masters that do engine prep for several moves in several variations. We ball under 2000

    I love this content. Im playing chess for a few months now and this really helps how to play openings and prevent big mistakes in the beginning of the game.

    This is such a great series. Loving how you are demonstrating fundamentals appropriate to the opponent's level of play rather than playing dubious aggro lines (even though you could probably make fast work of the lower end of the rating ladder that way).

    In the first game, a Philidor, you reached a position that I often get from the Scotch. I generally try to castle queenside in these positions, but you went kingside, calling it “natural”.

    I'm addicted to this series more than GOT, Breaking Bad, Fargo and the like. You get my drift! :P Perhaps let's also see how long you stay undefeated though. Cuz you'll discuss options for like over two minutes :D Now the lessons and tips are 100% amazing and paramount, I vote you keep us all rooting and enthralled with an undefeated record on this road to achieve Master with us all. As that'll be the cherry on top and superb tour de force entertainment for us.. all while learning. Winning! Oh and I second, you're def the Bob Ross of chess!

    Great vid as always! As a 1. d4 player I'd love to see you mix that in at some point. Maybe once your rating is high enough that your opponent will know what they're doing in a queen's pawn game.

    was bxh2+ possible for black at 22:07? Looks like a free pawn since after kxh2 qh4+ will pick up the rook on e1 in the next move

    I'm constantly running into people moving the A and H pawns to prevent bishops on both sides. They also immediately sac their bishops for my knights.

    Thanks so much for playing a symmetrical Italian, I've been bad and playing Stafford instead of good Russian schoolboy chess and I usually end up losing when they decline and I'm in a sad symmetrical Italian and don't know what to do

      after Nxe4, Nxe4, d5 forking the knight and bishop, white plays Nxc5 taking your bishop and your down material

    Idk why but in so many of these speed runs when you were in the middle game of game 2 that you moved your knight to the rim to attack the bishop in the center, so many players move their bishop back for some reason but it is still under attack from the knight & when it's taken they get stuck with double pawns. Idk why they don't just leave their bishop there & move something else

      Although Kf1 just allows the free pawn, but at that level, unlikely to see the hanging rook.
