KEEP IT REAL! All opinions are welcomed here! Eiyuden Chronicle Hundred Heroes HANDS ON REVIEW & Impressions HERE: ua-cam.com/video/qyO7dFNmrsk/v-deo.html
I just finished Hundred Heroes a few days ago I would go II V I Hundred Heroes III IV Honestly if the early parts of V were more enjoyable it would probably be on top. II has more of my favorite characters but the Army battle system in II is IMO one of the worst in the franchise, there's one recruitment quest I hate and one part I dread because its a series of five hard battles (An army battle, three party battles, and a duel) with no way to save during them., I would hate that no matter what but the first time I completed it my game froze during the post completion story scene before I could save so I had to do it again massively increasing my hate for that sequence's lack of mid chain saves. But the opening of V is such a drag IMO II beats it. For III the Party Battle system was interesting but it was IMO the worst possible system to use for the game focused on the True Fire Rune. While the three protagonist idea was interesting it got tiring seeing the same scene from two or three perspectives. The Army battles were better then I, II, or Hundred Heroes IMO even if they were more Battalion or Company level engagements then Army level
I'm playing Eiyuden slow because I waited SIXTEEN years for this game and don't want to rush through it but so far I LOVE this game It's fun, it's charming, and it's beautiful. This team knows EXACTLY what the fan base likes and has given us all of it. I truly feel disappointed in some of the fan bases reactions. It's like a "You really can't satisfy some people" kind of thing. I'm at the first war battle and I have to say, my only real criticism is the interiors of the houses being too similar. One thing that really made S2 stand out was the item variety and interior home varieties. Compared it to Wild Arms 1 which are all empty boxes. When we got to Nowas home and got to see his and Leenes bedrooms, it instantly felt like perfect Suikoden to me so hopefully the later towns get better in that regard But overall I LOVE this game and can't wait to finish it and learn more about it
I have not finished eiyudden so maybe de second place could change but this is my rank : 6- suikoden 4 5- suikoden 3 4-suikoden 1 3- eiyudden 2- suikoden 5 1- suikoden 2 my favorite jrpg of all time
My Suikoden list from worst to best. Can't put eiyuuden on here yet. Suikoden 4 was great in it's story telling for the Rune of Punishment, also Ted with the soul eater was an awesome surprise and it was cool having a big ship as the base and fishing for those special armor sets out in the ocean. Suikoden= classic, you can get so much money by abusing the dice game glitch. the story was very good and also really enjoyed the multiple true runes in the game as well as WIndy and Barbarossa's story. Suikoden 3= Trinity system was a lot of fun. I liked all the protagonists. I liked respawning big chests and save/loading for rare gear, I loved the mount system, I loved the ability to upgrade your support ability and other combat skills. Yuber coming back in a story was awesome, Luc is amazing, such a great character and his whole tragedy. Big focus on true runes for the plot, big connection to Harmonia, lots of connections to 2 revisited whether that be returning characters or their offspring or just mentions of things that happened in 2. The grasslands culture, the clash with the zexen federation, great great story. Even Thomas was a fun little sidequest as he gathers SOD for the budehuc castle. Also can't forget the theater minigame! Suikoden 5= I go back and forth with 5 and 2. Suikoden 5 has such a great story, all voice acted cutscenes and really cool dynamics with the runes, and really liked the political warfare as well as the tactician Lucretia. I also think the war battles were the best in 5. The Prince of Falena, the royal guard, Georg prime in his youth, all great stuff. Suikoden 2= The story was amazing, the political warfare is cold and ruthless, shu is the best tactician, the food minigame was perfect. While I liked Bright shield and Black sword for their story of forcing friends to fight each other, I think they are overall weak depictions of halves of the rune of beginning but really that's my only criticism. Being able to load S1 data and play as Tir with the soul eater and gremio was just all kinds of awesome.
I'm avoiding the reviews like crazy I'm seeing so many in my recommend 😂 too many spoilers ppl done finished the game soon as it came out 😂 but I can't stop watching you Kali-Q ❤
As of right now. My Rank is... Suikoden 2, S1, Eiyuden Chronicles, S3, S5, S.Tactics, S4. Ill give my reason later, I'm 60 hours in and only prob 35% story done HAHA
You got a ranking identical to mine minus the Eiyuden placement (as I have no idea where I'd place Eiyuden before beating it), kudos! This is pretty much my exact ranking of the series.
I already have Eiyuden ready to go but waiting until Friday until I start it, going into the weekend. I'm taking off at 12 and plan on playing the rest of the day.
Suikoden 2 suikoden 1 suikoden 5 suikoden 3 suikoden 4 and at the moment im half way through eiyuden chronicle it might make the top 3 really impressed so far
Suikoden 3 has forever held a special place in my heart and has been what I consider to be my fav game of all time. I've never seen another place 3 at the top before and the GASP of happiness I let out realizing someone did! We have the exact same ordering!
Haha you already know I got you! We Suikoden 3 lovers gotta stick together! 3 is just so special, to me it is the best Suikoden hands down. The characters, music and tone of the game was just my favorite! Thanks for watching and commenting :)
Finished my movie and gave this a full watch. You’re the man! I loved the breakdown and I’d love to follow your journey on a replay of suikoden 5. Tbh 5 didn’t grow on me until I got older, and now it’s higher than 2 for me. The art for the characters was stellar and the story was awesome. I don’t think I’ve ever liked so many characters in a game as I did with 5. The only thing I’d change is the protagonist, unfortunately.
Interesting rankings. I haven't played 3 in a while but I was thinking of playing it after 5 and just didn't have time to get to it before eiyuden. Maybe I'll play it after I finish with eiyuden. I'm slightly more than 13 hours now and definitely loving it so far and and, also planning to 100% it 😊
For me, the story is what makes Suikoden series memorable to me, I did actually enjoy the Suikoden 4 story, I played & finished it 2 times haha. I guess I am used to think that Suikoden is about the MC going through despair & misery, and I feel that Suikoden 4 MC gone through a lot even until the ending (SPOILER) that he's got exiled with no acknowledgement or any credit by the king and others. So does Suikoden V, the cutscene of when the truth of Georg & MC parents revealed hits me hard. Also, the story of the prince and the journey he went from castle life and then his family got killed and captured as hostage. For Suikoden 1, the moment the MC faced his father, and the fact that he has to face the rune curse that new rune tier only opened after someone around him dies... Suikoden 2, the best friend betrayal and death of families, also the drama on Tinto. I played Suikoden 3 the last, and don't remember any memorable moments, I read the manga though, I get into the story from the manga instead, I might have to revisit this soon For Eiyuden, I feel the story is a bit lacking, because I guess Nowa is not going through that much despair and misery compared to Suikoden MC, haha I guess they want to make the story lighter for younger player or new player? idk. Love the gameplay though, the grinding and mini games are all enjoyable in Eiyuden! So my ranking as of now is Suikoden 3 - Suikoden 4 == Suikoden 1 == Eiyuden - Suikoden 5 == Suikoden 2
Honestly, being able to play as anything other than a human is a breath of fresh air. I wish devs would realize that not everyone needa their characters to be "relatable humans."
You're pretty spot on with your rankings. I just finished Eiyuden Chronicle and feel like there's a lot of room for improvements but it was overall almost as enjoyable as Suikoden 1. I still prefer Suikoden 1 over Eiyuden but they're pretty close.
I love Suikoden 3 as well, it's my second favorite in the series, only behind 2. My biggest complain about Suikoden has always been the very easy difficulty. You can pretty much auto battle or 'flashes' or 'true man tactic' your way through the whole game (except some boss fights obviously) in most of the games. But the difficulty in Suikoden 3 and Tactics are just right for me. I wish Suikoden 2 were more like 3 in terms of difficulty because that would've been perfect.
I found Kogen and crew quite feisty, Ran thru a lot of herbs. Even randoms after that are rather snarky imo. Are you enjoying Eiyuden's take on challenge?
@@survives_shipwrecks6107 hmm I actually haven't found the time to play Eiyuden much (only around 4 hours in iirc). Hopefully I can really get going with it tomorrow and on the weekend. So far, the random encounters have been trivial tbh (autobattle lets me breeze through everything except the boss fights so far). But I'm still hoping it will pick up later in the game
@lucanos34 Flame Champs rise up!🔥 The way the series approaches the same premise from different angles gives fans with different perspectives their moment. Eiyuden may just do the same.
I’m not gonna lie, I agree with everything u said in this video. I had the luxury to actually play the DS game and I thought it was better than 4 and tactics. As far as Eiyuden goes u can feel the essence and energy of the first 3 games. I find myself going to some of the cities and being like “ oh this reminds me of of Gregmister or this place looks exactly like two river city” and I love it when I find myself getting nostalgic when I’m reminded of the. The only thing I’m worried about is the game being too easy, I started out on hard mode. My rankings (I’m not gonna do all of them) 1. S2 2. S3 3. Eiyuden 4. S1 I hope newcomers come to love this game and I have no doubt in my mind that the next installment will start that legacy we had going when we were young. Great video bro
I was introduced to suikoden by my friend during my middle school year. At the time FF7 was also the hype but I dunno why I fell in love with suikoden's story so much and then later in my high school year I was so happy I found out about suikoden 2 and from time to time I keep replaying 1 & 2 until now. Am waiting for the remaster and currently enjoying eiyuden! The nostalgic feeling almost brings this 40 year-old dude to tears! For me right now it's suiko 2 -> 1 -> eiyuden -> 5 -> 3 -> 4
Got introduced in elementary school to suikoden 1, that's pretty much my ranking too. I love love love 1 and 2 and 5 basically brought it back to classics
1. Suikoden II 2. Suikoden I 3. Suikoden III 4. Suikoden V 5. Suikoden Tactics 6. Suikoden IV Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes is very likely bumping III out of the top 3, not sure if it'll be my 3 spot or 2 spot, remains to be seen!
I'd agree with you on suikoden 5 being a B on the tier list, but surprisingly you didn't mention about the musical score once. Suikoden 2 had the vibes because 50% of its greatness comes from it's masterful musical score. Story is driven from a great musical score in my opinion. I haven't experienced a great musical score from eiyuden chronicles like what the suikoden series is for. But like you I'm still early in the game!
@@kali-qgames1301 If it didn't have the Suikoden name on it, I'd probably feel slightly more positive about it. (Although your point about encounter rate is certainly dead on.)
@@kali-qgames1301It has the best graphics and best concept in the series. Island Nations would have been fun to explore if there are actual islands in the game that you can explore and discover.
My path through this franchise was a little backward considering i started with S3. But i have to agree with Kali in that aspect that S3 was amazing. My favorability goes from greastest to least: S5, Eiyuden chronicle(the voice acting gets me, and i still have yet to finish it), S3, S2, S4, S1. I can't honestly rank Tactics and the DS game because i haven't finished them, but i have played them.
IMO 1. S2 2. EC 3. S5 4. S1 5. S3 6. S4 Honestly, my 2-5 are pretty much interchangeable. If I just want to enjoy a nice easy nostalgia trip, I go for S1. High production value, EC or S5. A more engaging battle system, S3. Just depends on what I'm in the mood for. S2 is, was, and likely will remain the GOAT, though. And I'll probably never play S4 again.
45 hours in and not finished yet, but right now my ranking would be from worst to best: IV < I < III < V < EC < II But as with you, it could be recency bias. It is definitely above IV, which I barely liked actually. I is good, but quaint and I can say EC is above it. Now it is getting more difficult. I liked III a lot, but prefer V and II is my favorite game of all time. So, after finisheing the game and ruminating a bit more, it might end up in fourth place, but honestly, I think it will be at least top three.
1. Suikoden 2-peak 2. Suikoden 5-truly amazing great story 3. Suikdoen 3-so underrated 4. Eiyuden Chronicle- it’s been great 5. Suikdoen 1-it was special for its time 6. Suikoden 4-I had to force myself to beat it only game I did not like in the series.
@@kali-qgames1301 There's some flaws in the localization from the original dialogue that the Japanese developers wrote. and some skills description were off as well. but nonetheless the game was great!
Really appreciate it if next time you use my content you take the time to put some proper credits to the owner of the video. You will get take down request more frequently as your channel get bigger. Friendly advise here ~Weiss ~

@@kali-qgames1301 Agreed! I wish someone would refine and build upon THAT battle system from s3. It was the most engaging one - which is important when there’s so many characters.
Suikoden 1 was one of the first games that really introduced characters dying to me. Don't want to get into spoilers for anyone eho has never played that game but they handled those situations masterfully. Picked characters you cared about and even made you have to decide whether you could forgive one character after the fact for what they had done. That game for sure, automatically goes over this one just for that alone. Thats not even taking into consideration that without that game none of the rest ever even get a breath of life. To me, Eiyuden only beats 4 and Tiekres. Both of those were just meh. Not bad games but not games that gave me fond memories that make me want to go back to them. Eiyuden is a great game and probably after they do a lot of patches and fix things it will move up, probably not in my opinion. None of the rest of the games needed patches, they came out baked. - 5 was epic, the storyline, the characters (the whole coliseum arc was great. I loved the whole Belcoot storyline.) They did a great job making you hate Gaiwin and hate the other side too. - 2 was epic, the siblings were awesome. Flik and Victor and Neclord with Hix and Tengar. The night attack on Luca Blight was awesome! All of that was great. Shu was a genius! - 3 was epic. I loved each cast of characters even Thomas and Cecils tiny little @$$es. Lol. Each main character's cast was awesome and the entire story was damn-near perfect. Watching people betray each other just to see in another char arc what really happened. Damn you, Luc. While 1 was not only epic but the originator. Pahn, Cleo, Victor. So many fond memories. Eiyuden has a lot of work needed before I can put it in such phenomenal company. But great vid
It was getting long so I wanted to finish it here. Also in One, having to face off against your father. There were so many heartfelt moments in that game. And to me, the best war and one-on-one fights were between the 1st and 2nd games. The other ones weren't bad but to me they did them the best, again, imo. My order should be: 1 2 5 3 E 4 T But my order as far as what I love to play: 5 2 3 1 E 4 T What an epic series. I hope they've learned a lot from making this one so they can truly nail it the 2nd time like they did with Suik 2. You guys did a great job and we appreciate all your hard work and the love that shines through in this game! Thank you for bringing this beloved series back to life and giving all of us something we've all been waiting for, for so many years! Thank you and RIP A. 🙏🏿
2 > 5 > 1 > 3 > 4 when it comes to mainline imo First suikoden game i played was suikoden 1 Currently playing EC so we shall see about that but so far 2 and 5 are better to me
Maybe i'm the only one who loves suiko 4 :(...i really love it's story, in fact the only story i liked better was suiko 2...sooo my list from worst to best of the main series would be this: Suiko 1: I obviously liked it, is just that suiko 2 was my first game, so i instantly compared both, and for me, the first suiko was a copy of the second and a weaker version. Suiko 3: Sorry kali :(, i did hate the battle mechanic in this game, if you hated the 4 party members in 4, to me suiko 3 felt like having only 3 party members with its mechanic of pairing members. Also, back then i did not quite liked the trinity system specially the thomas part and he being in charge of recruiting, but maybe now that i'm more mature and old (lol) can enjoy it better..but one special thing made me putting this after suiko 1, the skills system which i loved and THE RUNES. I'm a suiko rune lover, so having the chance to use the full power of the elemental true runes, was AMAZING. Suiko 4: As i said before, i LOVE the story. I Hate the 4 party members, hate the special effects of the runes in battle, hate the high encounter rate, and the characters weren't that good either, BUT, the story, the naval theme, traveling with a ship, the headquarter and the BEAUTIFUL music and sound effects, saved the game for me. Here i am showing some love to this beautiful game
Wish you had included the other Suikoden games in the list (the two VNs. Suikoden Tactics which completed 4's story and the PSP game that got recently translated), if only to put them into the Did Not Play section. My own list: 1- S2 2- S3 3- S5 4- S1 5- S4 6- S4Tactics 7- STierkris S3 for me had a lot of good ideas such as a multiple protag system and I enjoyed the war system. Like S1 I feel it's a flawed gem but a gem nonetheless. S5 lost points for me due to the dull color palette. That may seem a bit harsh but when playing something for tens of hours, I need the game to make love to my eyeballs in some shape or form. S4 was a downgrade on every level and the tactics game that accompanied it was super bland compared to other games of the genre. As for Tierkris, it's only Suikoden in name, not worth the plastic and circuitry used to make the cartridges. How about Eiyuden? Well I have 100%ed Rising but still early in the game with Hundred Heroes. Rising is not my type of game but still enjoyed what little story there was. Did not include it in the list but would probably end up between S4 and S4T.
@kali-qgames1301 3 is an absolute underappreciated masterpiece. I remember playing it for the first time, and it was an extremely bold move to write the perspective in 3 points of view and pull it off. Each hero you could resonate with, the villain had so many layers, and you could understand his motives, especially if you seen what he had gone through in parts 1 and 2. History repeating itself. It's genius writing and mature themes for a game of that time. The contrast to the real world with so many factions made kids realise the world was bigger than ourselves. The best opening track in any rpg. The story still lives on for us s3 fans to this day.
i will.make a Ranking Video too..but first i have to End Eiyuden chronicle 😂 i'm clode to Euchasse abd already played 30 Hours 😂 But so far the Ranking: 6.Suikoden 4: Suikoden 4 had its Moments. Love some of the Musics so much, it had the best Battletracks in the whole Series and i love the Duell System. Grafic was nice to the PS2 Time. The Shop was interesesting..but the Rest was just ok. Pacing was horrible in this Game. 5 Suikoden 3: Sorry Kali-Q 😂 I enjoyed the Time with the Game. But first: i didnt was Released in Europe..and in 2004 it was hard to get stuff from US or Japan. I musst wait a 3/4 year that the greedy international Seller send me my Copy 😢 The Game: Loved the Grafic and the Charakters and the Best Intro Ever! But i dont enjoyed the Trinity System and i forget total at the Most Things of the Game. 4. Suikoden: You never forget your first Love😂 i played Suikoden at my First Suikoden Game...and it blows me away and will ever have a special Place in my Heart..even its a little bit rough😂 3. Eiyuden chronicle hundred Heroes ( so far): I love the Grafiks, the Cosy Music and thst Nowa has a own Character and Voice. It has the best HQ so far and the best Dungeons! The Runebarrows reminds me to classic Zeldagames a bit😮 so far im am a little bit worried that they make the Duels and Warbattles nice and cinematic, but make them much more simple. 2. Suikoden 5: i loved Suikoden 5 so much. Love the Characters, the Music, The Cutscenes, the Story..but i didnt like the Graphic out of Battles or Cutscenes and sorry Kali..i didnt like some of the Towns and the HQ. But the Warbattles and Duels ate the Best❤ 1 Suikoden 2: Music, Story, Luca Bligth, Pacing of the Story : Masterpiece! Only the Warbattles were to much Story and to less Gameplay. Suikoden Tactics..was not a real Suikoden, Suikoden Tierkreis ( Tierkreis is a German Word Tier means Animal and Kreis means Circle) never played..i had no DS.
I dont care what people say but the characters in Eiyuden >> Suikoden especially those 108 stars of destiny. People are so intoxicated in nostalgia that they forget most of the Suikoden cast were useless in or outside of wars/battles. In Eiyuden most characters feel like they have agency in the war between League vs Empire! People say the Empire does not feel 'evil' enough but I think enslaving an entire town and forcing them to be rune experiment subjects is 'evil'. Perhaps they needed to have a scene of Lux cutting up failed rune guinea pigs like Luca Blight slaughters the innocent according to these nostalgia marks? Lux is a different type of villain though so it would not have fit his persona. Then there is the pedantic criticism of 'localization'. F*** outta here. It helped add humor and its a fantasy take of the classical Chinese novel Water Margin not a historical enactment FFS. Why does the language need to be antiquated? Base building in this game is better than any Suikos do not argue. As mentioned above, many Suiko 1-2 characters felt like fillers cos there were not as many elements in your castle for them to partake in. Guilds alone add depth and kill grinding. Full scale wars need to be improved and Suiko 1's rock scissor paper mechanic of Calvary>Archers>Mage>Infantry reintroduced for tactial sophistication. Dont get me wrong I only rate this game 7/10 despite having played 4/5 Suikodens (4 looks trash so I didnt bother). The racing mini game should be scrapped so effort can go into better spell effects which are worse than Suiko 2,3,5.I terms of protagonists I feel they missed out a great opportunity to include adult leads like Suiko 3 did extremely well; Geddoe was my pick amongst the 3. With 3 main characters they dont all need to be teens! The main plot feels short probably because there are 2 DLCs coming up so lets see what they have in stall for us.
My big things that need to be fixed in Eiyuden and ti\his is a loop batch 1.cost to much mp to use magic and the main character had no unique magic or lens/rune which I felt it was in massive need of it really made put a massive hit on it for me. Suikoden you not only had a Major unique rune that gave you magic only you as the hero got you tended to also had unique magic in the battles this and it cost way to much MP to even use any magic like 40-50 mp when you might have only like 80-100 or so for some time you woould have so much more in Suikoden. and the only other big gripe is how the DEI or SJW locoalizers ruined parts of the game with his ideailagy fake translations. That said I got and had the feeling of a 1 and 2 mixture sort of. I was hoping the primal lens was going to be that unique for the main hero didnt happen.
If Eiyuden only have Viktor, Flik, Killey, Clive, Peshmerga badass like character it'll be S-tier alongside Suikoden 2. I don't understand anime and rpg fans today. They love gay and waifu like characters on every game and animation, rather than having a badass Berserk like characters. Bunch of immature perv-like designers, animators, and fans, needed to get a gf and bf, because they're destroying the rpg and anime genre that we used to be loved.
It is definitely my hot take that Suikoden 4 is my favorite. Yes I know its not the best, Suikoden 2 like most I consider the best in the series but I just liked 4 more for whatever reason
Suikoden 2 won't ever be topped. It's a huge shadow to live in for the series. I'm a bit surprised you liked part 3 the best since they bastardized the battle system in that entry. It's actually my least favorite about tied with part IV. The entire story revolves around the True Fire rune and you can't even really use it because of the way the battle system is it will torch your own party.
Suiko 2 is overrated come on. All bosses easy mode and not nearly as engaging as Eiyuden and your main 108 'stars' were mainly sidekicks doing FA at the base whilst the Eiyuden heroes work their ass off at the guild quest/manning the stalls, entertainment zones helping to add fun and resources to fight the war. Stop dwelling in the past. This is coming from someone who also bought the Suiko 1-2 remasters on release and played 1,2,3 & 5 btw.
@@NickG8420 once 505 gets better with the rune system, war skirmish, adds back spell combinations like those in Suikoden 2 you will come to realise Eiyuden is the game moving forward. Suikoden was great but is antiquated with a weak base building game and has too many forgettable sidemen for them to be “stars of destiny”.
Suikoden 1 is better than suikoden 2 the story in 1 was better, the graphics on 2 was better , eiyoden is great thus far and suikiden 3 was disappointing to me
I really appreciate you sharing your ranking! Is nice to hear someone say Suikoden 1 is better than 2! Definitely unique! Are you really enjoying Eiyuden so far?
@@kali-qgames1301 yes sir, it's great thus far, just waiting for the big shift in the story, the disloyalty etc, if any. Besides that I'm a story driven guy, I guess that's why I enjoyed suikoden 1 more, father vs son, friend died sacrificing himself, and the mystery of Ted, suikoden 2 didn't really have that for me, if your familiar with final fantasy, I'll pick final fantasy 8 over 7 cause the story was wild, it wasn't basic, and you dont learn everything from the first hour of play.
@@eXoMuZiK Hmm seems i should give Suikoden 1 a try if you liked it and you liked FF8 more than 7 as i do. Was hesitating between playing suikoden or eiyuden ^^
@@simonarques5201 indeed, suikoden 2 is like a expansion pack to the first one, I don't go by the reviews I just try them out for myself, but yea ff8 should have been remastered like how they did 7, ff10, and ff15 are great as well but they don't do them any justice, but if you like story driven get those. Xenogears, Chrono trigger, ocarina of time, skies of Arcadia, Grandia X, even kena most recently are awesome rpgs
nothin,,,,nothing beats suikoden 2...... suikoden 3 number 1...ridiculous.... no character in suikoden 3 beats the beauty the joy the energy of nanami...... jowy...no one scares me the most than luca blight.....suikoden 2 music is unbeatable the dungeons are clear and in suikoden 3 they are confusing...bland graphics....wonky camera.... no way.....

V
I

III
IV
Honestly if the early parts of V were more enjoyable it would probably be on top.
I'm playing Eiyuden slow because I waited SIXTEEN years for this game and don't want to rush through it but so far I LOVE this game
It's fun, it's charming, and it's beautiful.
When we got to Nowas home and got to see his and Leenes bedrooms, it instantly felt like perfect Suikoden to me so hopefully the later towns get better in that regard
But overall I LOVE this game and can't wait to finish it and learn more about it
I have not finished eiyudden so maybe de second place could change but this is my rank :
6- suikoden 4
5- suikoden 3
4-suikoden 1
3- eiyudden
2- suikoden 5
1- suikoden 2 my favorite jrpg of all time
My Suikoden list from worst to best.
Your ranking is exactly the same as mine!
@Fulgrim-gm2dg 3 is so good though, I would argue 4 is a good game too but 3 is pretty freakin great.
I'm avoiding the reviews like crazy I'm seeing so many in my recommend 😂 too many spoilers ppl done finished the game soon as it came out 😂 but I can't stop watching you Kali-Q ❤
Really enjoy your passion behind this series. I haven’t yet played the other games, so it’s great to hear your perspective!
Thank you so much for saying this! I always love trying to show off some of my favorites, so thank you for noticing!
My guy YOU DID IT! I’ll be giving this a watch right after my movie
You already know I got you fam! I appreciate my people's! Hope you enjoy the watch :)
Im a Turtle HAHA
I already have Eiyuden ready to go but waiting until Friday until I start it, going into the weekend. I'm taking off at 12 and plan on playing the rest of the day.
Thats a perfect plan! Im really soo excited to hear you guys thoughts on the game! This weekend livestream should be fun!!
Suikoden 2 suikoden 1 suikoden 5 suikoden 3 suikoden 4 and at the moment im half way through eiyuden chronicle it might make the top 3 really impressed so far
bro, i cant wait for the suikoden remakes
Your list is same list like mine. Cheers
I'm slightly more than 13 hours now and definitely loving it so far and and, also planning to 100% it 😊
For me, the story is what makes Suikoden series memorable to me,
I did actually enjoy the Suikoden 4 story, I played & finished it 2 times haha.
I played Suikoden 3 the last, and don't remember any memorable moments, I read the manga though, I get into the story from the manga instead, I might have to revisit this soon
For Eiyuden, I feel the story is a bit lacking, because I guess Nowa is not going through that much despair and misery compared to Suikoden MC, haha I guess they want to make the story lighter for younger player or new player? idk. Love the gameplay though, the grinding and mini games are all enjoyable in Eiyuden!
So my ranking as of now is Suikoden 3 - Suikoden 4 == Suikoden 1 == Eiyuden - Suikoden 5 == Suikoden 2
i'm only a few hours in but i love Euyiden hundred heroes, i pre ordered Suikoden remaster months ago. i cant wait.
Spoiler alert...
The fact you can play as a dragon in eiyuden is goated for me lmao. And I like the special attack effects better 😅
Honestly, being able to play as anything other than a human is a breath of fresh air. I wish devs would realize that not everyone needa their characters to be "relatable humans."
I really love the theater and cards minigame of eiyuden chronicles.
The theater is one of the best features I've ever seen! It's phenomenal!
I see we have a man of class picking Suikoden 3 as the peak.
Haha you already know! I will always love Suikoden 3. Thanks for watching fam
count me in 😁
You're pretty spot on with your rankings.
It ramps up after you get hq. If you can beat Reyna your 1st try you're a legend ⚔️
True Yuber from Suikoden 3 is probably the hardest boss in the series
@@survives_shipwrecks6107 I see, that's great then. I'm looking forward to it
Suikoden V is my favorite. This amazing entry did not dethrone it.
Respect. That's a great one! 3 is my fave.
Total respect! I like seeing some Suikoden V love go around!🙏🏽
3 here for me as well my friend!
@lucanos34 Flame Champs rise up!🔥 The way the series approaches the same premise from different angles gives fans with different perspectives their moment. Eiyuden may just do the same.
1. Suikoden 2
2. Eiyuden Chronicles: Hundred Heroes
3. Suikoden 1
4. Suikoden V
5. Suikoden 3
For personal reasons, my favorites are [can’t include Eiyuden yet, since I haven’t finished it]:
7- Tactics
6- IV
5- Tierkreis
4- I
3- II
2- V
1- III
Suikoden 4 was fire lol ya’ll are tripping. It’s hard for me to even rank them because 1 and 2 are GOATed but I still loved 3 and 4 so much.
Haha I'm not mad atcha. But Suiko4 was rough for me man. Unfortunately.
But yeah S3 is fire! Wish it got more love
@@kali-qgames1301 after some thought, and looking back at game footage, 4 is easily the worst of the first 4 😂 but I still played the hell out of it.
My rankings (I’m not gonna do all of them)
1. S2
2. S3
3. Eiyuden
4. S1
I hope newcomers come to love this game and I have no doubt in my mind that the next installment will start that legacy we had going when we were young. Great video bro
My list goes from best to worst:
1) Suikoden 2
2) Suikoden 5
3) Suikoden 3
4) Suikoden 1
5) Suikoden Tierkress
6) Eiyuden
7) Suikoden 4
8) Suikoden Tactics.
This is a fair lost, so you have Eiyuden below all others except for 4. What does the sequel need to do to improve?
I was introduced to suikoden by my friend during my middle school year. At the time FF7 was also the hype but I dunno why I fell in love with suikoden's story so much and then later in my high school year I was so happy I found out about suikoden 2 and from time to time I keep replaying 1 & 2 until now. Am waiting for the remaster and currently enjoying eiyuden! The nostalgic feeling almost brings this 40 year-old dude to tears!
For me right now it's suiko 2 -> 1 -> eiyuden -> 5 -> 3 -> 4
Got introduced in elementary school to suikoden 1, that's pretty much my ranking too. I love love love 1 and 2 and 5 basically brought it back to classics
1. Suikoden II
2. Suikoden I
3. Suikoden III
4. Suikoden V
5. Suikoden Tactics
6. Suikoden IV
Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes is very likely bumping III out of the top 3, not sure if it'll be my 3 spot or 2 spot, remains to be seen!
I entirely agree with your list. ...so far. I'm only just now heading to Euchrisse.
Hahaha, well not surprised where you put Suikoden 4. If there is a consensus in JRPG fandom it's that it's not great.
Haha exactly, I tried to find positives about it. But it's tough
@@kali-qgames1301 If it didn't have the Suikoden name on it, I'd probably feel slightly more positive about it. (Although your point about encounter rate is certainly dead on.)
@@kali-qgames1301 Ted, the fog ship guide, the Rune of Punishment.
@@kali-qgames1301It has the best graphics and best concept in the series. Island Nations would have been fun to explore if there are actual islands in the game that you can explore and discover.
Also gotta recognize the graphics at the time as well. Always plays a factor.
My path through this franchise was a little backward considering i started with S3. But i have to agree with Kali in that aspect that S3 was amazing. My favorability goes from greastest to least:
S5, Eiyuden chronicle(the voice acting gets me, and i still have yet to finish it), S3, S2, S4, S1.
I can't honestly rank Tactics and the DS game because i haven't finished them, but i have played them.
Are you doing a let’s play of Eiyuden
I'd love to do a let's play if you guys are down for it :)
@@kali-qgames1301 definitely I got a recruitment list of all the people I got so far
IMO
1. S2
2. EC
3. S5
4. S1
5. S3
6. S4
Honestly, my 2-5 are pretty much interchangeable. If I just want to enjoy a nice easy nostalgia trip, I go for S1. High production value, EC or S5. A more engaging battle system, S3. Just depends on what I'm in the mood for. S2 is, was, and likely will remain the GOAT, though. And I'll probably never play S4 again.
This right is an absolutely solid list. Even if it's different from mines, I love your reasoning! Thanks for watching fam
45 hours in and not finished yet, but right now my ranking would be from worst to best:
IV < I < III < V < EC < II
But as with you, it could be recency bias.
1. Suikoden 2-peak
2. Suikoden 5-truly amazing great story
3. Suikdoen 3-so underrated
4. Eiyuden Chronicle- it’s been great
5. Suikdoen 1-it was special for its time
6. Suikoden 4-I had to force myself to beat it only game I did not like in the series.
Eiyuden is a great game it really filled that feeling of wanting to play another suikoden somewhat. but the localization....
I've been hearing this alot. What happened exactly?
@@kali-qgames1301 There's some flaws in the localization from the original dialogue that the Japanese developers wrote. and some skills description were off as well. but nonetheless the game was great!

My favorite Suikoden also!! Glad I'm not alone lol
Listen 3 will always have that special place in my heart. It hit at just the right time for me, and that story til this day is LEGIT! Thanks for watching fsm
My order should be:
1
2
5
3
E
4
T
But my order as far as what I love to play:
5
2
3
1
E
4
T
What an epic series. 🙏🏿
suikoden 3 is my fav as well, good list
2 > 5 > 1 > 3 > 4 when it comes to mainline imo
First suikoden game i played was suikoden 1
Currently playing EC so we shall see about that but so far 2 and 5 are better to me
This is a fair rating! I always love seeing what you guys think
Here’s how i would rank them:
Suikoden 2
Suikoden 1
Eiyuden Chronicle
Suikoden 5
Suikoden 3
Suikoden 4
Suikoden 3 is by far my favorite too.
There we go! Another S3 fan! It's such a beautiful project!!
Best to Worst - Suikoden 2, Suikoden 1, Eiyuden Chronicles: Hundred Heroes, Suikoden 5, Suikoden 3, Eiyuden Chronicles: Rising, Suikoden 4.
I hate that i can't play suikoden 3 on playstation 4/5 in germany this part hasn't an european release
That really sucks, let's hope they fix it someday
I loved Suikoden 1 and Suikoden 2. S2 was the best of the series.
Suikoden 1 is my favorite, 5 2nd, 2 is 3rd.
That's actually refreshing to hear!!
Maybe i'm the only one who loves suiko 4 :(...i really love it's story, in fact the only story i liked better was suiko 2...sooo my list from worst to best of the main series would be this:
Suiko 1: I obviously liked it, is just that suiko 2 was my first game, so i instantly compared both, and for me, the first suiko was a copy of the second and a weaker version.
Nah. You're right about 3. I have 2 behind 3 and 5. 3 is peak. The ole' cliche "best friend betrays you" just ticks me off.
Wish you had included the other Suikoden games in the list (the two VNs. Suikoden Tactics which completed 4's story and the PSP game that got recently translated), if only to put them into the Did Not Play section.
My own list:
1- S2
2- S3
3- S5
4- S1
5- S4
6- S4Tactics
7- STierkris
S3 for me had a lot of good ideas such as a multiple protag system and I enjoyed the war system.
My Tier list. Suikoden 3, 2, 1, 5, 4.
My fellow 3 brethren, we do exist!! Haha
Im very curious about the game but i heard there are translation issues and that bugs me a lot
same, the localization is horrible, they really have to stop tampering japan games, Eiyuden has a rich story and they plugged unnecessary dialogue
Did my man completely forget eiyuden chronicle rising
Haha nah I didn't, but I didn't feel like ranking it
I personally liked 5 more than 2.
My ranking: 5 2 1 3 4. I haven't completed Eiyuden yet so I can't rank it
i never replayed 5 even though i loved it because the battle loading times were horrendous!
My rank is similar except 1 game which is suikoden 3 will be 4th for me and the rest all drop 1 rank
i will.make a Ranking Video too..but first i have to End Eiyuden chronicle 😂 i'm clode to Euchasse abd already played 30 Hours 😂
But so far the Ranking:
6.Suikoden 4: Suikoden 4 had its Moments.
I musst wait a 3/4 year that the greedy international Seller send me my Copy 😢
The Game: Loved the Grafic and the Charakters and the Best Intro Ever! But i dont enjoyed the Trinity System and i forget total at the Most Things of the Game.
4. Suikoden: You never forget your first Love😂 i played Suikoden at my First Suikoden Game...and it blows me away and will ever have a special Place in my Heart..even its a little bit rough😂
But the Warbattles and Duels ate the Best❤
1 Suikoden 2: Music, Story, Luca Bligth, Pacing of the Story : Masterpiece! Only the Warbattles were to much Story and to less Gameplay.
Suikoden Tactics..was not a real Suikoden, Suikoden Tierkreis ( Tierkreis is a German Word Tier means Animal and Kreis means Circle) never played..i had no DS.
for me 3 and 5 was peak suikoden...i can´t even place one before the other!
For me
S3
S2
S5
Eiyuden
S1
S4
Why where suikoden psp?
I think the only big problem with suikoden 4 is the boring time consuming sailing. All the other faults are not so bad.
I only played a little of Hyakunen no Toki.
loved 2 and 3 never played 1 4 or 5
If Eiyuden only have Viktor, Flik, Killey, Clive, Peshmerga badass like character it'll be S-tier alongside Suikoden 2.
Tierkreis was good, but didn't really feel like a Suikoden game. Too many differences, no connections to original world.
Hmm I haven't yet played Eiyuden but for me it's from best to worst, 2,1,5,3,4. 3 kinda sucked though I can no longer recall why I disliked it.
It is definitely my hot take that Suikoden 4 is my favorite. Yes I know its not the best, Suikoden 2 like most I consider the best in the series but I just liked 4 more for whatever reason
2 is the masterpiece I'm sorry
I’m sorry but I have to disagree 5 is no where near as bad of even close to as bad as 4
Suikoden 2 won't ever be topped.
@RiseAgainst369 ill just say I agree to disagree
Xenogears, Chrono trigger, ocarina of time, skies of Arcadia, Grandia X, even kena most recently are awesome rpgs
i think 5 is better
5 is pretty sick I'm not going to lie
nothin,,,,nothing beats suikoden 2...... suikoden 3 number 1...ridiculous.... no character in suikoden 3 beats the beauty the joy the energy of nanami...... jowy...no one scares me the most than luca blight.....suikoden 2 music is unbeatable the dungeons are clear and in suikoden 3 they are confusing...bland graphics....wonky camera.... no way.....
Eiyuden Chronicles over 5 is blasphemous!
You really think so!? Haha I got Eiyuden so far. Where do you rank it?
