I do agree that China is pushing students way too far in terms of education. I often hear about how Chinese students receive the most amount of homework out of any country, but I didn’t think it was this bad. Singapore is also known for being one of the best in academics, and as a Singaporean, we definitely have a lot of pressure placed on us, but UNIFORMS WITH CHIPS AND CCTVs? That is too far. Give these kids a break. There is no point forcing them to become the best if they can’t even take a rest. They are humans, not academic machines. Cut them some slack.
@@Aven_colonthreeOuch! And just about everyone at my college including me occasionally complains about getting homework at all. I honestly think that the only homework kids need is revision. That’s just my thought, but is it worth studying something you are already confident with when you could be doing something new?
@@YeahTheMitchs I spammed studied that one subject and got good, even though I was confident, but I think it really depends on the person, also damn, having 3-4 homework sounds like a dream
@@Aven_colonthree Well you seem to be a very persistent person, and somehow after all that you still managed to save yourself some time to watch UA-cam 🤩
As a Chinese person from Thailand, I'm beyond grateful that my great grandparents moved to Thailand and started their families here. I can't even imagine what it's like to literally wear a device that tracks your brain all the time. That's just invading the child's privacy and it could be a stressful thing especially for kids with ADHD/ADD/Autism and other developmental disorders.
As someone who studied in China before, i can first hand tell you that the education system has many flaws, we are put under constant presure of being “the best” at everything and thats what most parents expects of their children, we have lesson almost 8hours a day and some even up to 10, plus bullying is also a major issue cus even if you report it, chances are the teachers dont give a sh-, but what i hate the most was that the schools forces you to memorise a sht ton of stuff and the teachers are allowed to hit you 💀
this is related in nepal too, but the only thing that is different from the above things you mentioned in our schools are that bullying is very rare in nepali schools and we have either 7 hrs of school at total in a day, or less. but we dont have holidays in sunday
Same to Vietnam 🇻🇳 in some school mostly government school. Teachers are allow to hit u if u failed at something. This gave me flashback in kindergarten of how many time I got hit straight into my ass.💀💀
As a Filipino student, there's a small amount of expectations my mom gives me when it comes to school, but she doesn't force me to study 24 hours. She understands that the way for me to learn is in my own pace and she encourages me to have fun because, as she said, you can only be a youth once. Not to mention the school she enrolled me to encourages independent learners. We have an aloted day on where there will be no teacher, but they expect us to study on our own.
True though.. am asian myself with health problem too.. which is skeletal dyphlasia.. so, being in this situation isn't easy though.. normal not normal you have to study for freaking 24/7.. so to them SD is just disease name butvas long as your brain working normally.. me, who also having learning disablelities, they don't care bout me they just care bout good grade even my parents don't understand how hurt is my head to memoerize the whole things and also they don't understand of how i feel rn.. my parents say "yeah you just faking it to get attention and to escape study" i was just dudeee am not faking it.. I just wish my parents and teachers understand my feeling of being in controlling situation😮💨not just me but i just wish they all understand the kidsfeeling right now.. and just let their kids playing around after finishing study or even let them palying or joking around while studying😔
OMG This brought back so many painful memories for me. The problem is, when you grew up in such an environment, you didn’t even know it was wrong. You would feel that all your problems were your own, that you weren’t good enough or didn’t work hard enough.
Yes, they should have free minds filled with imagination besides knowledge; these students never have the time to spend some free time, as if they were androids! Dang these teachers are extremely brutal to these students. :(
As a person who studied at an international school in Shanghai, even I was not fully aware of this. I just heard rumors of schools treating students poorly, and teaching them to hate Japan and the U.S. Before this, I only knew about the heavy workload and stress. But do remember, this is only some schools in China. Edit: Most other schools's problems are just heavy workload and some stress when it comes to high school exams. Though I know that stress isn't good, their situation a lot better to the types of schools shown in this video (coming from a priviliged asshole who can't even speak chinese at a high level). And before anyone says anything, yes, VPN is illegal in China, but the law itself isn't enforced, unless you are seen directly using a VPN in front of high-ranking officials.
You probably were in Wellington or YKPao or some school like that, because now the gov went crazy and some school (like JiaoKe and SUIS) have to learn the huikao chinese curriculum toooooooo :(
@@imastertoast2414agreed I’m glad I moved to England I’m so gratefull for my parents that helped us move here before the education system can get even worse
As a student who used to study in local schools in Hong Kong, I can confirm that they rely on memorization and not critical thinking. And honestly this is the reason I switched to an International School. The amount of stress was just unbearable, imagine having to arrive to school at 7:55am, going to bed at midnight due to studies and tutorials, having 6 chapters of Math in an Exam, Chinese Literature (ancient language) that is useless nowadays, needing to know what the author wants to tell us (I often end up questioning people how will teachers know the answer when they're not the author), students not knowing why they have to study those, teachers that can't even mark exams or unit test papers correctly, Physics formulas that you have to memorize without knowing how do people come up with that. (Just my experience in a local school) And if you ask me who to blame, it's the teachers and the Education department. If the teachers want their students to concentrate in class, then just make the lesson interesting, keep the students engaged. And don't get me started on the Education department, it has so many problems with it. One of them is the HKDSE (Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education) examination, you literally have to memorize 12 Chinese passages and answer questions for Chinese, that often leaves me and my friends wondering "Why do they have to determine our jobs or Universities based on 12 useless Chinese passages?" Like if you want to be a doctor, what does it have to do with what you learn in Chinese, English and Math? And why not grade us based on our dream jobs? Not to mention that the local Chinese students are literally suffering because the Chinese in Hong Kong was just too hard, and yet, the Education department didn't even reflect on it
Isn't HNKG under CCP control, this was actually foreseen. U guys r literally under Chinese rule who r famous for being authoritative and conservative. Just let it go . U guys have no more freedom left anyway
As a formal Hong Kong student who moved to sydney, I can relate to this. However, note that all the education systems (except Finland) also have the problems that you pointed out, but it's just that Hong Kong is worse. Schools never prepare us for the future, and 90% of the knowledge they teach is useless or you would never use it in real life. Unlike Western countries, Hong Kong doesn't even use a laptop for school, so we wouldn't know the basic ICT skills like Word, Powerpoint, etc. They are also too exam oriented. We only have exams and there isn't any assignment which counts towards our grades. For example, we never learn how to write a scientific report for science, which is an essential aspect of science. We only do exams for every subject. However, a good thing about Hong Kong is that they teach better maths. Not only the maths are better than Western countries, but the textbooks and the way of teaching it is more clear and more logical. The maths textbook in sydney is much worse than Hong Kong. They give you questions that you haven't learned throughout the textbook. But still, Hong Kong is too stressed, and I also hope that the Education Bureau would do something to fix the system. It's so flawed that even the heads of the Education Bureau put their kids into international schools while trying to persuade parents to put their kids into local schools and embrace the flawed local education system to the parents.
@@legendspike1387yeah I agree, but Hong Kong also uses laptops (or computers) for educating. And they do teach word and powerpoint. But yes, still pretty stressful if you ask me
Same i am studying at hong kong now and i can assure that there are stacks of homework and school time averaging 8 hours a day, and i am not even counting after school activities and revision for exams. As you pointed out, i seriously do not understand why we need to memorize and study useless stuff that we probably will never use ever again. It's just for university. Even funnier, is that those stuff are HKDSE curriculum. The Education department is definitely the one to blame. Even my parents told me memorizing is the key to success in exams. Now you see how ridiculous the education system is. And unfortunately for me, i was unable to study at a international school because my parents thought that the avaliable ones have too low banding. And yeah i agree that the chinese taught here in hong kong is honestly too difficult and those chinese ancient language should be thrown in trash bin. *exhaustion*
I think it's kind of the same with the Viet education system, of course not to extreme measures like these, but from what I've experienced, these things you said relate a lot to me. They force you to memorize a shit ton of stuff, repress opinions, put under constant stress of being a "flawless student", yadayadayada,... Same with how @VEN.3x3 phrased it, arriving to school at 7:45, going to bed at midnight due to studies and tutorials, memorizing 6 chapters for an exam, except Viet students just learn normal-ass literature thats not going to be relevant in normal day-today lives, same with those teachers, they "supposedly" know the answer when they're not even the author. Students not knowing why they have to study those, teachers that can't even mark exams or unit test papers correctly, Physics formulas that you have to memorize without knowing how do people come up with that. Also from my personal experience, the "teachers" are very unreasonable and usually abuse their power against us to blame the students for literally the smallest things ever, we don't admit it, immediate "Bản kiểm điểm" for us. Plus they're allowed to hit students, mostly on the wrists or hand, and they hurt like hell.
Yeah. Indian myself, just went into 11th. Pretty massive twist, went from being one of the smartest people in class to having to study 3~ hours out of my 5 hours of free time everyday to get good marks However, my life is just like these Chinese kids. My father is a pain in the ass. Very very smart man, but he has no emotion, and makes me work and study like a machine, and god forbid what happens if I don't Life sucks sometimes, regardless of where you're from, but that's that, and this is this
Me too , the reality is i can learn about other thing after study .My parents didn't force me to go to college and my environment wasn't that demanding about me not going to college. . As long as I don't cause any problems
I'm Chinese I feel like the rest of the world should be like this but there shouldn't be that harsh punishments. I think they should study hard to get successful but not having to do that much. I think China should give kids a bit more free time as well.
@@Themightystar5000nah aint no way, its not true. as a student in china/ hong kong the education system in my school are not strict at all. the teacher encourages what we do and help us to improve on what we want to do.
I'm also very stress when I was a kid....I am a Chinese and every time when you go to school, your feeling is not HAPPY, you feel STRESS. I don't have freedom anyways- So, when i grown up, means now, I'm working at Australia. I saw many kids there bringing their happy and joyful feelings to go to school.. China...you're going too far. That's not a good thing for kids. China should change.
Yes it's SO true I've was a local and it was SO strict and that's why Chinese kids are so smart, once a Chinese kids jumped from a building because of pressure...
I am an international student in China, and the normal Chinese schools really stress the kids out, it's really different from the international education that I felt, I used to go to a normal school, and I was dismissed around 8pm, homework was usually done until 12pm, and I was required to be at school at 7pm the next day, and I could only get a few hours of sleep a day, and the weekends were full of extra classes, which made you numb. And there were tests almost every day as the curriculum moved very fast. Chinese education is much more than that, and it pains me to say that last week three students in my area ended their lives because of the long periods of time without weekends and breaks, and I'm glad that I'm now experiencing an international education, otherwise I wouldn't be able to imagine my life.
As an asian student, i can confirm that school is very very pressurising but NOT THIS TORTUROUS literally if i had to spend a week in these type of schools from actual hell, i think id rather die.
I feel so sorry. I feel like society is becoming more enslaved in most of the east. I'm glad you and your friend survived. This is why I'm afraid of a school based ideology though I'm American, I fear being controlled and enslaved.
As a CBC (Canadian born Chinese ). I think this is too much for a child to hold in their heart, My parents give me a lot of homework but they would still let me play and have fun and if a child does not have happiness they will not have a good childhood ❤
As a Filipino student who studies in an international school in Qatar, my parents wanted me do good in school, and they don't pressure me to always study. They also help me understand lessons that I'm having difficulty with and are like teachers to me. And they let me relax whenever I'm done with my homework. This is really sad to watch that the fact that china's education system is pressuring student to become "perfect" and giving the lack of freedom is horrible. And I agree it's invading the student's privacy and monitoring them 24/7 is terrifying.
As a Asian myself, I’m very grateful to be in a school without crazy rules like these. I’m disappointed in China for pushing so much pressure on poor students making them go crazy 😢
what country are you in? there are way more smart people in china than in other countries. And that's why everybody needs to work hard just to earn a living.
Yes, let’s force our kids to learn 24 hours and then let them suffer like the adults. Imagine if you are the kids and your parents scold you for not doing ‘extra’. Is that the culture do you want to preserve?
As an Asian myself, I can definitely understand the feelings and pressure these children are going through. My parents are, at some points, become really strict and they only let me play 30 minutes on Sunday, and how is 30 min enough??? What can I do in 30 min? Apart from parents, school work and the pressure of being a “people pleaser” is also a reason for teenagers to get depressed, I guess. May I ask the school teachers, are you trying to train us into geniuses?

4:00 i had watched this vid before but it never occurred to me how similar I am to this boy. being the firstborn not only did i always have to be the best and perfect but I also had to teach them while simultaneously having to study my own subjects and last time my brother failed in one of the subject, he started saying how bad of a teacher i was and i was doing it intentionally. Needless to say all my mental breakdowns trying to teach them payed off when I heard that. Thanks
As a 11th grade Asian student I can relate I sometimes ha e suicidal thoughts due to study pressure its hard to study all day Like I have to get A+ grade in every exam or else I can't play basketball which I love the most Now looking back at my childhood I realized I lost my childhood😖
When you lose your childhood as a child... your adult self will do anything, ANYTHING, to reclaim a childhood you never had. When you're older, you will want to reclaim control over your life. No one, except yourself, will tell you how to live adulthood.
My best friend in fourth grade, Agnes. She was Chinese, and came form Las Vegas. Her mom was very focused on her learning math, but never taught her proper spelling. Agnes had a second grade level vocabulary and spelling level in fourth grade. Anyway in conclusion don't judge kids intelligence based on their culture.

So I kind of know what that feels like.
A Vietnamese myself, I already feeling a lot of pressures from learning in academies to academies just to try and get a scholarship somewhere abroad. I can say no one else will enjoy this type of pressure. I have to learn English, math, literature. Those 3 subjects I studied each one 3 times each time 3 hours per week. And near future I be learning German and French. You know the pressure is really high when your whole calendar is just studying and studying, homework and homework. Just imagine have to walk home after school, can't take a shower nor dinner and go directly to another campus to learn the same thing you learn at school but more harder and advance. This is just a bit of what most Vietnamese been through, Im lucky because I study in a non public school. Well I think China is putting too much pressure on students. Because I am a Chinese girl and I’m basically in the fifth grade now.but when I was in third grade,I already got 12 hours of school, and I-never seen ANYONE achieve their biggest dreams 😢 and my only hope of surviving was going to the US and I was working hard to get to there for high school so I can just at least get enough sleep 😢

I- have experienced this.. as I was a student in china. But now I'm in a different country (since my parents are not dumb and moved out). I can say that this this so so bad, and the amount of control and pressure is just- un able to describe. A few of my classmates have thought of even dying once or twice.. and the controlling is just- too much.
As a chinese student myself I got beat or hit by some of the teachers before and one dragged me out the classroom because I was not doing something well and just dragged me out as like a dead person
Education is only A path to have a wonderful life not a mainstream path. Education is to be loved not to be hated or forced. We have to remember that there are other opportunities that we can grow in and live happily. Till the child is in about 10th class he/she would have most of the needed knowledge in order to understand and what to choose.
It's not as extreme in India but the students here do have some unhealthy amount of pressure on them. It actually comes down to the population and the job market. The competition is extreme and you need to take extreme measures to get a job better than other people.
According to me, it has both positive and negative effects, but it's harsh in China, forcing young kids to study more and stressing them out, which is sad. But if this complicated way is reduced and then implemented for students above 15 years of age,it would be very useful for the world.
useful only for billionares who underpay their workers this isn't about making kids smart it's about making them into obedient robot-like workers lmao don't confuse memorization and education
I’m a Chinese American, I lived in china till I was 5. Lemme just say, it was really hard. They discipline there kids at a very young age. Coming into the u.s (adopted). I already knew most table manners. They would also only give u 2 meals or 3 meals but little amount in the orphanage. Not to mention I only had 1 pair of clothes. I had a heart disease so it made it really harder for me.
As a chinese from Malaysia, I am grateful after seeing this video. Hope they will get better in the future.😔Although this way works, but I prefer being someone that is not too stressed...
This is a great example of what the rest of the world should and should NOT do. There is definitely a lot we should learn from them, as there is a lot we should NOT learn from them
There isn’t really much to learn to be honest. I was taught to just memorize. Even math! We have to memorize it too. But do I understand how the equations work? Lol no. It is like I know to build a home but can’t make foundation. I learned foundation in the US because if you do pay attention, they actually teach you the “how” to math. That is why we need balance. I think Finland has the right approach to education. But I don’t know how it will do with large population.
As a person that has a Chinese friend in class that moves to china every 3 years then comes back she’s honestly too disciplined i have never met someone like that before knowing all my other classmates who dont even know fractions i honestly feel bad for her knowing all the things they do in china schools over working it can lead to Memory issues,Heart Disease and Gastrointestinal disease whats the point of giving them to much pressure just for them to memorize alot of words and just forget it bc of memory issues due to pressure and stress
Man, I remember doing the basketball thing in China, when I had school there. I will admit, even though the education system is EXTREMELY strict, it has helped me with my studies now in America.
I’m a Korean student who lives in America and I feel so bad for the kids. Our education system isn’t like this and my parents dont expect me to use all my time studying
There needs to be a balance-the right amount of control just enough to instill learning and discipline, and the right amount of leisure or 'letting go' to avoid results such as those shown in the video.
As a Chinese, it is undeniable that Chinese children are under great pressure to learn, and they face great competition, not only in China, but also in South Korea, these East Asian countries are the same, this is a culture, so that East Asians can compete with Europeans, it must be pointed out that the authors of this video intentionally exaggerated, and said that some of the footage that is rare in China is a common phenomenon, what is the reason for this people with analytical skills all Understand that China is the enemy of the United States, the United States holds the discourse of the Internet, then what China does is not right.
I’m Chinese but I never took class in china I took education in Canada cuz I was born In Canada. And after I see this video I feel bad for how much pressure these Chinese students needed to go through 😢😢😢
Thank goodness my parents aren’t like that although they are from China. I was born in Singapore and thankfully, our education system is pretty good and not controlling.
I agree tho, I'm chinese but i was born in Italy and when I was a little girl still going to kindergarten my parents sent me to China to learn because they thought they would work in Italy to earn more and then come back to China forever, but I was so "emo" because in kindergarten I couldn't do math (we already learn when we are little kids) and I used my fingers cuz I suck in math and the teacher yelled at me then I cried so bad lol. The second reason is that I always cry because I miss my mother and I had slapped my grandfather and I don't remember why but maybe it was about the problem of study that I studied too much. So they sent me back in Italy.💀
I am a Hong Kong student. The pressure in the schools are tough. Sure, we aren’t monitored 24/7, but in my class(the ‘smartest’ kids), we constantly feel the pressure. Once, I got a 93 in English and a 96 in Chinese. And what did I do? I cried. Loudly on the way home. The system here is not as bad, but it’s tough for kids like us. Our teachers think we are geniuses, and expect us to get at least 80-90%. I think I’m scared of algebra now because I can’t understand it, unlike most kids in my class.
I am so grateful that I am in Europe and attending a nice international school although I did go to school in China for a few years and I was under pressure and forgot how to be happy and live my life the way I wanted like other kids

we have a similar importance of following rules in singapore, but our education is not very stressful and you have at least 3 hours a day to have some free time. At the same time in school, we learn a lot of things.
School is for education not stress. Learning is important, but that's doesn't mean you should be tormented to extreme lengths as if that was the only way. You can still have an education while being allowed to be a human for one second.
This is a grade seven student from Hong Kong, China. I'm in a school where there are quite a lot of Mainland students, and I must admit that they are certainly better than us in many ways, for example, Chinese, Mathematics, Physical Education, and more importantly, endurance. They try as hard as they can in everything, and most of them have expectations of themselves that are as high as the sky. My school is one of the top schools in Hong Kong, so everybody is pretty smart in general, but I really feel like the students from Mainland China is really more disciplined than us Hong Kong students.
I am from China and I had studied in China for abt 7 years until I moved to Singapore when I was P2. When I was studying in kindergarden , we already needed to learn words and Math. Then,I was studied in a international school when I was Primary 1 and it was not rlly too bad(since its a internatuonal school Ig?But we still learn almost same thing as government schools but just learn English earlier)But I must admit,my cousins are studying in China and it was overwhelming.
We grew used to 11 pieces of homework daily, mostly 2 are essays
@@Aven_colonthreeOuch! And just about everyone at my college including me occasionally complains about getting homework at all.
I honestly think that the only homework kids need is revision. That’s just my thought, but is it worth studying something you are already confident with when you could be doing something new?

(Just my experience in a local school)
And if you ask me who to blame, it's the teachers and the Education department.

3:56 Poor boy. You can see that how he's trying to convince the sister to stick to the right answer. What actually breaks my heart is that you can hear the mother laughing at him aswell in the background. It's sad that how people laugh when someone is trying so hard for something to be right. How cruel of these people..
No I think it was the dad recording that was laughing
@@FVREVER_QKT I think you should listen a bit closely cause for me I hear a woman's voice. Besides I'm gonna have to edit my comment because I have randomly come across the original and full video and the sister was crying to. She wasn't laughing with her mom
WHY WOULD SHE DO THAT..
That mother is actually horrible no mother will laugh at there childrens struggles!
@@Yay-n1mshe's probably delusional
This is actually sadly true in my old school in China, this is why my mom and dad moved to Australia because I actually almost died from studying nonstop for 2 days without food and water or sleep due to the extreme pressure it had on me… I’m 13 now.
It must been torture for you :(
i'm 10 btw but i'm from Vietnam
I'm sorry WHAT?! Thank god you're OK but how is that not a crime at this point?
I'm so sorry. Please take good care of yourself and be safe ❤
I’m just grateful that I’m from china and that’s not my education
Well I think China is putting too much pressure on students. Because I am a Chinese girl and I’m basically in the fifth grade now.but when I was in third grade,I already got 12 hours of school, and I-never seen ANYONE achieve their biggest dreams 😢 and my only hope of surviving was going to the US and I was working hard to get to there for high school so I can just at least get enough sleep 😢
This is really perfect timing,I’m a chinese student rn in china and am doing homework and saw this😅
As I am Chinese and my cousin is in high school when the last day of summer break she cried and told my aunt she put too much pressure on her and I felt extremely bad/sad for my cousin
If my son and I went there, we will be terrified for that kind of education they teach.
As a chinese student myself I got beat or hit by some of the teachers before and one dragged me out the classroom because I was not doing something well and just dragged me out as like a dead person
ouch :(
I feel so bad for you ):
Education is only A path to have a wonderful life not a mainstream path.
Education is to be loved not to be hated or forced.
We have to remember that there are other opportunities that we can grow in and live happily.
Till the child is in about 10th class he/she would have most of the needed knowledge in order to understand and what to choose.
It's not as extreme in India but the students here do have some unhealthy amount of pressure on them.
It actually comes down to the population and the job market. The competition is extreme and you need to take extreme measures to get a job better than other people.
I agree but be grateful it is not like that I can relax in my school roam freely whenever I want and score good
@@crobatgaming5661 True
Bro im in china rn the school i go to is not that bad we have at least 1 week vacation every month
Know I’m really sad for the students there. They don’t deserve this
According to me, it has both positive and negative effects, but it's harsh in China, forcing young kids to study more and stressing them out, which is sad. But if this complicated way is reduced and then implemented for students above 15 years of age,it would be very useful for the world.
Yes
useful only for billionares who underpay their workers
this isn't about making kids smart it's about making them into obedient robot-like workers lmao
don't confuse memorization and education
Useful for the rich and powerful? The government? Or dave sitting in the corner picking 🗑️? What do you mean exactly?

I’m a Chinese American, I lived in china till I was 5. Lemme just say, it was really hard. They discipline there kids at a very young age. Coming into the u.s (adopted). I already knew most table manners. They would also only give u 2 meals or 3 meals but little amount in the orphanage. Not to mention I only had 1 pair of clothes. I had a heart disease so it made it really harder for me.
sorry man
1 pair of clothes?!
a heart disease?!it must've been a pain for you..
Thats why Im thankful I live in the UK ❤❤
I feel bad for most of these students especially ones with adhd the pain they got from most of these pains are physically and mentally
As a chinese from Malaysia, I am grateful after seeing this video. Hope they will get better in the future.😔Although this way works, but I prefer being someone that is not too stressed...
This is a great example of what the rest of the world should and should NOT do. There is definitely a lot we should learn from them, as there is a lot we should NOT learn from them
If we all do this in the end we memorize but do we understand how it works
There isn’t really much to learn to be honest. I was taught to just memorize. Even math! We have to memorize it too. But do I understand how the equations work? Lol no. It is like I know to build a home but can’t make foundation. I learned foundation in the US because if you do pay attention, they actually teach you the “how” to math. That is why we need balance. I think Finland has the right approach to education. But I don’t know how it will do with large population.
@pickniccers No, It easier to memorise tools because you'll know their role unlike most math equations in my whole life.
你要是日本人,新加坡人,或者其他国家我都能勉强接受你的说法。但你是韩国人😂你猜东亚文化圈,哪个国家教育竞争最激烈?课外补习在哪个国家最火热?中国和日本?嘻嘻,你猜
There needs to be a balance-the right amount of control just enough to instill learning and discipline, and the right amount of leisure or 'letting go' to avoid results such as those shown in the video.
Poor kid all children should have access to playtime and freedom😢 its sad
As someone who wanted to go to China, i can confirm that this made me change my mind.
Yes i agree look at this isn't this too far 😮
The problem is about the homeworks, some teachers are giving u a lot homeworks to do that they didn't even teach about it
I am a Hong Kong student.
I’m glad to know that we Americans don’t have the worst education system.
Best education comes along with 100+ genders :)
Not the worst and not the best, for sure.
@@allenmano oh no
@@MyChessWorld that really makes America as a whole feel better
Those Americans don't even know how many continents are there cause they probably think the three continents are Europe, America and rest of the world
I am so grateful that I am in Europe and attending a nice international school although I did go to school in China for a few years and I was under pressure and forgot how to be happy and live my life the way I wanted like other kids
That's why balance is everything
IDK what to say after watching the whole video but they are so focused and well determine. Like just going to the flow. Too much hard working like killing yourself but they knew what it lasts. Life is short.
as a asian student who's learning in a public school, it's almost what my class suffering. waking up at 6am, go to home to have lunch, and learning until 7pm. literature teacher order us to remember very exactly a ENTIRE ESSAY'S PART
I’m half Asian growing up up there until I was 6 and yes they actually do that shit and they make us to have a time limit for how long your in the toilet and if you go over the limit detention
After seeing the family environment of the talented Jiang Ping, she was sad, and her sisters were so sensible. Since she was a child, she knew that her parents were not easy. She gave up high school and chose a secondary school to get a scholarship and reduce the burden for her parents.
we have a similar importance of following rules in singapore, but our education is not very stressful and you have at least 3 hours a day to have some free time. At the same time in school, we learn a lot of things.
Not if you are in an elite school like me, you barely have any time to even relax.
like RGS or smth?@@_unkn0wn

Imagine u have like 30 exam papers to deal with for holidays💀I would be so overwhelmed . And parents also give high expectations which is kinda unrealistic and make the child very stressed
Can you talk more about your school system?
