Robert, he really plays drums with his hands, he has great skill, they are one of the bands I grew up with in the 80s, and they are great now and always.
In 1984 i was on my couch watching Real Videos on TBN when the host intrduced a new group called Stryper. My first glimps was alright these guys might be pretty grood. Before the viideo was over i was like, these guys are awesome. To this day i still believe they are awesome!!!

In the 80's...they were the only Christian Heavy Metal Band that stood up with all the other big bands like Guns and Roses, Motley Crew, Bon Jovi..etc..they endured many tribulations and to this day...still standing!! About the drummer playing them with his bare hands, in the video I’ve seen, the guy has a hand full of drum sticks that he threw over his shoulder, leaving him with nothing to play with so he uses his bare hands. I loved it!
I totally forgot there was footage of Michaels' late wife in this video. Before his wife passed from Cancer, he produced a solo album with all of his wifes favorite cover music. They mostly came from other bands. If you want to hear a beautiful ballad, look up a song called "All of me". Michael did it solo but he also did it as part of Stryper. My wife and I used the solo version as our wedding song.

Stryper is known for music that had a double meaning. It was meant to be Christian Rock but it appealed to others who were not Christian. They are still around and producing great music. Michael Sweet has the best voice still.
There's also "call on me, and I'll be there for you". That's basically what makes me believe that the song is more likely _from_ God to us humans than the opposite.
In the 90s my hair was twice as long as theirs. Sometimes my wife would leave me with her purse while she was in the changing room. I swear some of the store worker girls would come up behind me and say "Can I help you mame?" hahahah
This was I believe their 3rd single release off To Hell With the Devil. First one being "Calling On You" and 2nd was "Free" Honestly put them on the map in the mainstream. This is a nice song, but check out "First Love" off their Soldiers Under Command album. I feel this is their best ballad.

It's funny, I watch all of these reaction videos of Stryper, and it took 30 years before people really understood how good, and what they were doing. During that time they were slammed as fake and not talented. Years later people are admitting they were wrong.

The nice thing about stryper's music is that alot of it can be taken more than one way. So it can fit many situations

Old school. I grew up with this.... 84 as a young kid with yellow and black attack. They still rocking today. Saw them last in 2019.
In the video, they show Buckingham Palace and Big Ben. Saw them in 1980 and 1993 when I was in London.
