@Go Fish Or Go Home not necessarily it depends on many things. For myself I mix other clothing items that I need washed anyways with the diapers so I am only doing one extra wash per week. Its true that this lifestyle isn't for everyone but I love hearing youtubers share all about it because it educated us all on our choices and just so empowering. I also started elimination communication which I thought was crazy until I really read up into it and now it makes so much sense to me! Again not for everyone but these alternate choices might help out many families :)
Agreed!! I was looking for this comment but couldn't find one at first so I added my own lol. I'm curious to know how she approached the bulkiness! Do you cd ? I was donated almost all of my babygirls clothes so I have a hard time dressing her in the winter with pants that fit that cd booty 😅
@Go Fish Or Go Home I think that a decent amount of water goes into making single-use diapers (just like it takes a lot of water to make paper), so in the end washable diapers are still a win!

Reflux is sometimes related to the spine. I took my baby to the chiropractor and she was fine after couple of adjustments. Try taking her to the chiropractor. Don't be scared. Most of them specialize in pediatric adjustments too!

@@kyrarenee5423 My Dad is a chiropractor and has been able to help babies lots of times! They have more gentle methods that they use when adjusting kids. Definitely worth a try. :)
Yes!!! Chiropractor’s that have much experience with infants can’t be beat for reflux, sleeping and colic. It might be worth a try

Hi Kyra. Beautiful family. Thank you for sharing with all of us. Been watching since Levi was born. Love you guys. It's crazy how different all the kids look. They all have some similarities however it's so cool that they each have their own individual look and this little baby Roo and her dark hair and dark skin. It's going to be so awesome watching them all grow into beautiful people.

I watch the Grimwade family who has 6 kids. Their son who is the 5th child nickname is Rue Bear but they call him Rue. 😍
If she is taking in a lot of air while nursing I would consider getting her checked for oral ties. My newest babe (3 months now) I thought had a perfect latch because it didn’t hurt but he was so gassy and had a ton of reflux and it turns out he had ties. Got them revised around 3 weeks and it made it 100% better!
We have cloth diapered for almost 4 years now (divided between two kids) and love it!!! One more baby coming in March and I hope to spoil this baby with some new diapers of their own 😊
ALSO: I’ve been dying to order something from Baby by Kyra and I justified that this third baby needed a special swaddle, so I ordered one and will be keeping it forever ❤️
I’m a student midwife. There’s no worries about your milk supply as long as she’s gaining and having 6+ wet diapers a day! America really pushes this whole milk supply narrative but so long as those two things are happening all is well! My last nursed for nearly three years and doubled her birth weight in one month 😂 and I could NEVER get more than a half oz with a pump because my body just responds more to a baby then a pump not because of supply issues.
If you want to pump once a day early morning is when your supply is at its highest so that would be the time to do it! You don’t have to pump though but if you want that’s the time❤️ you are glowing and she seems to be growing and doing absolutely amazing!
Her projectile spit up could be due to an overactive letdown if you here her choking/gagging at the breast. Laying down and nursing can help her control the flow a little bit!

Just some advice from a NICU nurse and a mother of 7. Who’s breastfeed all my babies. If your wanting to pump to store some milk it’s best to pump right after baby breastfeeds then you’ll be ready when she’s ready again. Just a tip. It can be hard to figure out when to pump if you don’t do it right after she’s done eating. Good luck!

Kyra I wanted to let you know for your incision that my incision also came open and they told me to keep it clean and that it will close from the inside out. I hope you continue to heal quickly! It took a few weeks for it to completely close.

I love that you use Cloth diapers, even sometimes! I started cloth with my 2nd, when she was 10months old. And we've been doing 100% cloth since! She's 2 now, and hopefully close to potty training but I'm always so proud of the entire year we've done it. It's been hard, but soo worth it!

I sooo agree with the "part time" cloth diapering (or eating vegan..ect) anything you do is just that much better for the environment (and your wallet!) I've never been able to make cloth diapers work overnight and my husband isn't a huge fan of them but being a (mostly) stay at home mom I'm able to cloth diaper from wake up-bedtime most days and it makes a huge difference in the amount of disposables we have to buy!

I consider one month to be based on the current calendar date (so one month IMO would be December 2nd) not based off of a 4 week. That’s what I did with mine when it came to things like monthly photos the first year.

I cloth diapered my daughter and a diaper sprayer that attached to the toilet really helped when the poops got grosser! Just plop it and spray off anything left!
The gas and reflex can both be caused from a sensitivity to milk protein, even when breastfeeding. My two both had it, and it went undiagnosed for a while because doctors usually just call it reflex or colic
Shes is so gorgeous, the best thing about being a mum definitely is just watching them grow into their own personality when they get older . I'm turning 21 in 10 days and I have an 1 and half year old boy and I am 5 months pregnant with my 2nd baby also a boy and I am so excited I want a big family 4 or 5 kids and I love watching your channel and your channel with Oscar and the kids you are so inspiring and I love how you show what life is like with 4 kids and how sometimes it can be hard I really look up to you as someone I wanna be like xxxxxx❤🥰
The extra air and reflux sounds like she might be tongue/lip tied! Get either an IBCLC or a pediatric dentist to evaluate her. Ties affect a TON (much more than in the early stages of life).
They also cause speech delay. My daughter is 1 and she is tougue tied we have apt next month for her to get clipped.

As far as those specific diapers they were great and I miss those prints! But I preferred covers over pockets in those days. When she was ready for one sized diapers I started to prefer the pockets lol. More space to fit my hand and easier to put on and remove and clean! I'm a weirdo that thinks all things CD laundry is therapeutic 😌

Yayy I love seeing youtubers I follow use cloth diapers! We use cloth part time and love it! If you don’t already have it get a spraymate! It seriously will be your best friend cloth diapering older babies! As far as her being gassy have you had a lactation consultant check her latch? My son had a bad latch and would suck in air while nursing and would be super gassy. We corrected his latch and he never really had gas after that.

We count the day our baby was born on every month. We've also been cloth diapering since he was 7 days old (going to be 3 months on the 7th) and i'm loving the newborn cloth diaper phase the water soluble poo is the best 😅 afraid of the day i introduce food to him but thank God for disposable liners!
Her gassy tummy might not be air since you are BING. It might be something in your diet that is bothering her tummy. My 2nd baby had severe reflux, constant gas, tummy pains and crying. I tried Gripe water when she was 5 weeks old and it helped a lot.
I hated binkies, but both my kids loved them, especially my 2nd, she was preemie and Dr's recommended I give her one and I loved it, it helped in many ways.

Not every month has same amount od days etc so weeks are diff and don't align

I just wanted to offer a few breastfeeding tips for the gas and vomiting. Those are also signs of over supply or overactive let down. One thing you could try is to pump for the first few seconds until you get your first let down and then put her on. You can also feed her on just one side for two feeds so that you completely empty one side then do the same on the other and you can sort of reset the milk supply to meet her needs. Over supply can seem like a good problem to have but when you are dealing with gas and vomiting it can be very frustrating. Another sign of over supply is if her poop is green and mucusy. I totally get your approach to breastfeeding, no stress to yourself. I agree because stress isn't good for either of you. You are doing great! I hope some of these tips help. December 2nd she’s 1 month old but yea it gets to me too but I find it easier to say how many weeks old they are till about 12 weeks then I go on to saying there .... months old

A certified nurse and midwife once told me that colics in exclusively nursed babies are usually resolved by monitoring the food the mom intakes and avoiding the offenders. I remeber broccoli being one so I would simply avoid it until baby was weaned off; happy baby = happy mom. Lol

I do the date for counting months. So she’d be a month on Dec 2nd. That way on their birthday, they’re 12 months lol. If people ask how old they are, I’m usually able to tell them the weeks up until 8 weeks or so and then I go to months until about 18 months(maybe until 2 years when I’m talking to other parents who get it.)
