Finland is not really part of Scandinavia, although it has been under scandinavian rule from time to time. Scandinavia is a historical term used by the romans (who did not conquer Scandinavia) about 2000 years ago to describe the land which is now Denmark, Norway and Sweden.

Derefter kan vi gå nordpå og tage Stockholm, fordi Sverige altid er neutrale og ikke vil slås med nogen (anden verdenskrig). Og som Felix Arvid Ulf Kjellberg's bedstefar sagde engang, Norge: "they have no defense and all the oil", hvilket vil gøre dem lette at indtage efter vi har taget Sverige.

But the stones were not just to proclaim the unification of Denmark but also Harald converting the Danish people to Christians by turning Christian himself.
There's even a street next to the church called Popovej named after the monk/priest Popo that made the king change beliefs.

@RuleBritannia never got out of scandinavia? Apart from that time we owned almost all of England in the North Sea Empire. And where we owned Greenland which we still do

Well more like an asshole, he used the mediterranean idea of "the people follow the king" and declared everyone christian to cement his own rule (one god, one king, one rule) little did the southern europeans know that Norse society didn't work like that, most people continued worshipping the old gods all over Scandinavia, regardless of what a king might've believed in.
He wasn't a bigger badass than any other Scandinavian at the time, except for his son maybe, Svend Tveskæg now that guy was a legit badass, conquered all of England and left london in the hands of the former king of england (now king of london) until the city broke because of the constant siege, Canute the great would never have been king of the north sea empire without his father Svend Tveskæg.

Woohoo - Uppåkra has finally received it's well earned place on the map. :)
It's frustrating to see how slow the progress of the excavation is though...
Also frustrating to see how much of this history is forgotten in the swedish schools today, despite the fact that we in Scania hasn't been swedish that long on the historical timeline.

@@madmarilyn I could try to state something that would be valid for my comment earlier and not at the same time take away your point but I do not have the urge nor the time for an ongoing debate about vikings on a youtube clip. I will say this though, my point was not that ALL and every viking was a Dane. and im not saying your statement isn't true either (just to be clear) great day to you friend and take care o7
