love your vids helped me figure out what was the problem. very helpful on how fs15 works and for those that are new.
Don't forget, you can also make silage by tedding mowed grass, baling the hay into round bales, and wrapping them.

be careful if you have any mods that mess with the bunkers they stop you from covering the bunker. lol took me a while but found the improved bunker mod removed it and was finally able to cover bunker. and yes bunker was 100% full and compacted. the alps map is setup for those who like small equipment and looking after livestock with some feilds for straw and chaff production
Thank you very much for the tutorials. I am wondering that is it same profitable when using grass and chaff for fermenting the silage? BTW, I'm a Chinese and I have very poor vocabulary of farming in English so I have been playing it in simplefied Chinese. Since the translation is based on the dialect of Taiwan instead of Mandarin, it's really hard to understand the game. I have no idea that grass can be used for fermenting the silage until seeing this video. Thank you.

Hey man, never did Silage in FS2013, dunno if its a glitch or a bug in FS2015. But if you make your first lot of Silage, then just keep loading it up with grass etc! Just turns straight into silage, no waiting! Just came across it, (tested with grass only). Don't know if it works with Straw etc. Just saying! I'm not one for cheating, just a money maker in game I have found!

Oh so those troughs inside the cow barn are also for silage I thought it was for water but I couldn't figure out how to give the cows water
I have silage already in my silage pit but it won't let me add anymore grass it says grass isn't accepted there should I have filled the silage pit all the way first and fermented it is that why it's not accepting anymore grass

Hello, I am struggling a bit with the bio silage clamps. After I empty one and make the money, it still says there is 1% still in the clamp. And then I can't dump grass in there. Any suggestions on this ? Thankyou :)
Do I have to use that particular loader to take the silage from the silage bunker and put it into the tipper wagon?

Im at the Biogas plant. One of my bunkers still have 7 % silage in it, I don't see it, and I ran up and down through the bunker and nothing. When I try to unload grass there it will say Grass is not accepted here. You have any idea what to do?

Is there a faster way to sell sillage than by transporting it with the bucket loader?.. I just made 30 trips to the bio plant to sell my silage cause it was in demand.. kind of a pain in the ass but i made $550,000 doin it...
You can put it in a wagon first or just use the room they give you at the biogas plant to create your silage there in the first place.
Moose2006LP Ok, thanks.. someone told me you couldnt use a wagon but i wasnt sure, i didnt want to load a wagon up and not be able to unload it at the bio plant

you can adjust in timescale in your menu to increase 5x to120x speed. or if you rather real time then up to you. :)

Just cows! Sheep are easy because they only take grass.

Is there a more efficient way than scooping it in? I haven't looked at the DLC yet. I wonder if they have a tipper that's good for this.
You'll have to scoop it from the tipper.
Moose2006LP Ah, that's what I was afraid of. I began making silage last night and just use the silos that are already at the Biogas plant and harvesting grass around it. If I have to keep making trips back and forth, I rather not have to travel very far. :D
+Nick Williams Theres a mod for a conveyor belt machine, like the ones for potatoes and sugar beats at your farm, u can set one of them up by the tank and dump onto it

How you unload silage from a trailer?????
Christos Kakoullis You have to use a loader. You can store silage in a tipper to transport it but putting it in your biogas plant or feed requires a loader and bucket or silage fork. It's a little more time consuming but super worth it since silage is worth a lot. Good luck and happy farming!

on Xbox once you have 10percent hit RB to blanket the grass/chaff. hope this helps

Not a trailer, just leave it in a loading wagon after you pick it up off the ground. This means you'll have to have an extra loading wagon if you want to pick up other things (grass for silage, for example).

No just dump it where you need to when you need to. It's the only way to store straw.

Silage is just grass that is left to ferment for a while. It is fermented because cows like the taste more and it's
part of their nutritional needs.
