Thank you very much! I think this is a really cool band and that's why it's also really interesting to react to their songs too.
This was song #6 out of 23 at the concert. They maintain this same energy from the beginning to the end, which is Domination. Well actually Endless Story was the last song, but Domination preceded by Play were the 21st and 22nd songs out of 23 songs at that performance.
@@edwardallen4051 Edward you haven't seen the awesome T-shirt yet that i'll get printed in the new year. It's the most kawai fruit drummer ever. If you don't like that then you're heartless you are.🤣
Akane, drums and MISA, bass are school mates for the Tokyo School of Music. It is a vocational school for musicians wanting to be in the Japan's music industry. Teaching how to be a session/backup musician, etc. Kanami, lead plays all of the guitar parts on the recordings, teaching Miku her parts for the live performances. After all Miku has to have time to write the lyrics. Don't think you have reacted to their acoustic MV's from last Xmas. "No God", "Catharsis" and Miku solo on "Sayonakidori". They drive home how talented they really are!! Did you checkout Saki and Hazuki's Young Guitar video yet?
Their bass player is not only extremely talented and has her own style, but is also cool af. During live shows (every live show) if she ain't holding a bass, then she's holding a beer. And a really big beer too. And always has a bottle of whiskey sitting on her amp. They all have a "thing" or "charm point" they called it and hers is alcohol. The drummers is bananas. Love this band.
Feeling down: Band Maid is the cure! The epitome of uplifting music. Having a bad day: Band maid. Your boss is a jerk: Band Maid. Viewers leave nasty comments: Band Maid. Lost in a finnish wood surrounded by hungry wolves? Yeah, you're right: Band Maid.
Heard them play this in Houston and New York recently. This is the real thing. These girls are supremely talented. It sounds so happy. The smiles are infectious. Yet if you look up the English translation of the lyrics this is a heartbreaking break up song. Great reaction hope you do another. Perhaps Domination or one of the instrumentals like from now on or Onset

Thank you very much! Haven't checked out the lyrics yet but will do it! I've done a reaction to Domination and From Now On on this channel earlier. Feel free to check them out from the Reaction video playlist or just from the channel videos.
Thank you for responding to BAND-MAID. Please feel the groove and Akane's drum fill in this song. Since you are a musician, by all means, please listen to the instrumental songs "FROM NOW ON" and "WITHOUT HOLDING BACK".

FREEDOM is an earlier song that wasn't written by the band, yet it remains as one of their most performed songs still. It's a crowd pleaser and I think it's comfortable for the band to perform it (including Saiki the singer). They definitely can have more fun and a better time, and move around the stage (don't need to be at their pedal boards the whole song). In their earlier songs, Miku (rhythm) had a lot more vocal parts, but that had slowly evolved into more of a supporting role for Saiki. Another big highlight for me in this song is the wonderful texture that Miku's harmonies bring to Saiki's voice. It's overall a very solid rock and roll song and as you said, gives off really good vibes. :)

"Play" on kova livenä kans. Näillä on bisneksen tarttuvimmat kertsit
Since you've done 'Domination' LIVE and 'Freedom' LIVE, you could do 'Play!' LIVE. However, I'm going to suggest a break from the Shibuya Line Cube concert stuff. Try one from an earlier tour. Do 'Real Existence' LIVE next, before doing back to the newer tour stuff.
Their Choruses are catchy as Hell . I appreciate that they always have little tweaks in the 2 Verse , never a copy and paste mentality. They always give us a little more than is needed . They are not lazy. If i remenber correct this was 5 of 21 and Domination was 20 of 21 , same Concert. BTW maybe you could check out Hanabie with "We love Sweets" or "Neet Game". Again all Female Band from Japan that write their own Songs . Nor very well known , but AWSOME !!! Tiny bit heavier as well. 😂 I have very high Hopes for Hanabie ( Pronounced Hana Bie Ehh , so you dont get slaughtered by Fanboys 🤣😛
@@outwest1014 ahh ok well than you know them. Love thier first Album :) Sadly most Reactions are just a stupid face abd the usual " Ohhh i did not expect this ! " I want more than that , insights from a musician for example.

Mitä Japanilainen musiikinopettaja sanoo oppilaalle? "hyvä, ja nyt takaperin sama kappale 😅 Ja siinä vaiheessa rumpali miettii" se on seppuku jos ei ole taimissa" Lovebites and Band-Maid one of the biggest ones. But there is also good bands in melodic metal/metal Core genres. Japanese also love to mix genres more often than others. Japanese musicians are so talented, it kills sometimes the "feeling of art", but at the sametime still fun to listen. They play it that way because they can 🤣
You seem to like guitar instrumentals, so let me introduce you to legendary Japanese guitarist Masayoshi Takanaka. He does a lot of guitar instrumental songs. Try searching.
Now you understand why Jimmy Page after watching Akane's drumming said that she was one of the best drummers that he's ever heard and that she reminded him of John Bonham. Saiki reminds me of Alanis Morissette in her ability to change her vocal styles. As always Band-Maid is Jimmy Page approved!
Happy Happy Mincho doing her Marty McFly solo impersonation.

It's certainly one of the lighter songs Tom but I agree it translates their actual personalities very well.
Thanks for the reaction. Akane is a amazing drumer. The song "Play" live is a great song
Yes, and the official live video for that song also includes one of the greatest intros to any song I've ever heard.
Thank you very much! I really appreciate it!
Happiest band in the World!

You'll find that every song is unique and good at the same time!!
Kanami shredding her PRS.
Oh yes, that's a really nice Cusotm 24 that she's using!
Akane is awesome but the drummer from BAND-FRUIT, "Bananae Hirose" is awesome too.😏
There's a whole bunch of them in Japan (excellent female drummers, not bananas).
I refuse to give that a like
