Hey Scott, have you seen the videos of builders reporting reliability problems with the Rotec engine?

Yes I have seen a couple of videos. Two sides to every story though. I also fly a Jabiru engine!

It doesn’t paint Rotec in a positive light.
      Fly safe 👍

Unfortunatelly the reliability issues about Rotec have nothing to see with rumors.
I do own two of these so called "engines" (R2800).
No part is spared by huge basic misconception flaws.
Have a look at the Rotec "engineers" videos showing their assembly process, also pay attention to the background of the videos showing their workshop and equipments.
I am redesigning a whole new engine as I will never leave the ground again behind such a crap, even If I still have one brand new Rotec sitting in its crate.
To say, even the crates are made the wrong way!
You want to stay alive ?
Stay away from Rotec, even a rubber bande engine would be less dangerous.
Ha, I forgot to write about the legendary "customer service" provided by the "factory".
They started by building model aircrafts engines, sad they moved on bigger ones, sad for their disapointed customers.
The TBO of a Rotec is nearby zero hours has deep flaws are hidden everywhere, ready to give you a nice engine failure....
Make a table with it, it would keep you away from an accident or worse...

Tony from Classic Aero Machining Service (CAMS) in NZ is building single valve rotary engines. Price and convenience aside, it's a Camel; if the rotaries are available...why go Regretec?

Nooo, not Rotec. Get Verner instead. I heard Rotec engines are prone to fail.

@@okbuddyretard When the Verner has 25 years engine production under it's belt and 3,500 engines sold perhaps then we can compare. That is assuming we ignore how but-ugly they are!!!
