Thanks for the video. I had to do a lot of Googling until I found what I was looking for. Replaced rear window latch, rear wiper motor and controller. Everything works now. Good to know the steps and tools before even starting. Appreciate it.
You said 10mm for the handle. What kind of tool is it? I looked inside mine and it looked like a circle 😂 our rear windshield wiper is on constantly. We pull the audio fuse in the engine fuse box and it kills the wipers…but also the auto locks and radio. Tried to replace fuses but no luck. I just want to disable the wiper motor and be done with it. Thanks for the information on what 10mm tool you are using :)
Hey man anyway you can go over the hatch lock and assembly. I just bought one of these and I can't get the back glass to open without rigging something up manually to the release lever.
Thanks for the video. I have a Kia Rio5. I already have to change the front wiper motor and now the rear wiper motor also failed. After watching your video, not sure if I am going to go through all this sheet. Mine is also rusted and I don't want to have such a rusted hole to put a new one. Kia should really improve those wiper motors, it's not normal in 2007 (and now in 2021) that those little motors breaks so easily.
@@FreddysCarsaAndChaos Yes definitely it helps. Watching all those steps and tools it can take, I'm really not sure I will start such a job. I live in an appartment and don't have a garage myself. So in case I need extra material, I will get very angry :-) How much did you pay for this rear wiper motor ? I got the information here, in Canada, but was not available : more than 500$ as the front wiper motor cost 150$ !!!!
I watched your video tonight 29/09/22 I had only one question if , is there a big nut holding the rear wiper motor outside to the boot lid I got puzzled at what you used a tool to take it off but sadly it took half the rusty boot lid off , I’m planning to fit a rear wiper motor and just wondering if this is the only real problem the rest is pretty easy for the first time thankyou
Great video Freddy! Tomorrow I have to replace the motor on my Sorento.

I agree. If you attempt it yourself and it becomes too much definitely take it to a shop. Glad I could help!
