How UV Light Kills Bacteria in Water

This video shows how bacteria in water are effectively inactivated by UV light.

Mostly for disinfection UV-C light is used .. it's the highest energy uv light... It can directly damage the dna base bonding it, look up the term "photodimerization " in google... Rather than just ionising an electron out, It damages the dna itself.
